We were not aware of this restaurants existence until a friend recommended it. We had a wonderful experience, from the moment we walked in we felt very welcome. Our server, Sheila, was extremely well versed on all the local wines and her recommendation was spot on. The menu has around 10 offerings and includes a number of intriguing choices. I selected the scallops and my wife had the ribeye. Both were perfectly prepared! My wife couldn't finish her steak so I lucked out and finished it. Throughout Sheila kept a close eye on any of our needs. Once the dinner dishes were removed, she showed us the desert menu. I chose the Utah cheese platter, excellent, and my wife had the chocolate sundae. We highly recommend Enoteca if you come to Paso Robles and hopefully Sheila will be there to welcome you and make it a special night. read more

Wish I could rate this restaurant higher. We had great expectations that were not fulfilled. The fillet mignon was not a great cut of meat - flavor and texture lacking - and the double pork chop was over spiced. Too much garlic which overpowered the chop. read more

My husband and I were there on a Saturday night. We have visited Paso Robles a few times and haven't really found a great place to have a nice dinner. We had to change our existing reservation to an earlier time. The hostess was very accommodating. We sat outside and the customer service was excellent. Our waitress was great and also made an excellent old fashioned, as she was also the bartender for the evening. The food was delicious. We will definitely be going back! Reminding readers that a three star rating is A-OK and not a bad thing, we also disclose the rating is based on dessert one night and breakfast one morning, not dinner. The dessert was a seasonal fruit crisp that was supposed to be pineapple, pear and strawberry. Served warm, the crisp topping was underbaked, so more soft than crisp, and the only strawberry was a a sauce drizzle across the ice cream. Still the flavors were good, even if the ice cream had three pretty good sized pieces of ice in it. But since we were staying at the (lovely) hotel in which the restaurant is located, it was a treat to be able to take dessert to our (lovely) room. The breakfast stop was driven by the convenient location more than expection of a great meal. So it was a pleasant suprise that the buttermilk pancakes my hubby had were, he said, the best he had ever eaten. They came with bacon, walnut butter and warm maple syrup. My eggs benedict was a "lessor light" item. While the kitchen did get the eggs poached exactly as I asked for them (as hard as golf balls), the hollaindaise was too thick and verging on broken and the Canadian bacon on the English muffins was almost non existant. Serving portions were far more generous than we could eat (at $11 and $12 respectively) so in hindsight a "split order" would have been wisest here. Service was very friendly and very efficient - thumbs way up there - and the dining room is lovely with a fire blazing in the fireplace to warm up the chilly morning - thumbs up there too. read more

Enoteca has been recently refurbished and it looks VERY nice. I truly love the ambiance. But (you knew that was coming) the new menu is very expensive. My husband ordered the New York for $44, and I ordered the rack of lamb for $46. We shared a $16 salad. He said the steak was pretty good but not great. My rack of lamb was dreadful. It was tough and had no flavor. My husband tasted it and said if he didn't know it was lamb, he might think it was "some other meat." Our server was very nice but had no knowledge about any of the dishes. We had to ask for more water. Service was very slow with lots of time between our salad and main course. Was one of my favorites in town. It's been maybe 6 months since I have been in. Well how disappointing. I'll be brief, my beloved Gin and Tonic was terrible. 1. Tonic was flat. Bar tender replaced the co2. Still flattish. 2. Chicken cacciatore sauce was bland, chicken was over cooked and tough. 3. You need to actually put hot fudge on a hot fudge Sunday. Ate Here Twice--AMAZING Food We had dinner here the first night we stayed in the hotel. It was our 5 year anniversary so they sat us near the fireplace, very romantic. That said, it is a loud place, but super cute and the food was beyond amazing. We had been wine tasting so we didn't drink anything, but we loved it. The remodel is very attractive. The prices have soared, food quality is horrible and servers are inexperienced and untrained. Started with the undercooked, bitter artichoke. Onto the lobster pasta, $48, menu said one type of pasta completely different arrived, three skinny spears of asparagus and two tiny pieces of lobster. Breaded veal chop tasted like rancid oil. Risotto was not risotto, no one could agree on what it actually was. Two desserts to chose from, after that kind of dinner, no one felt brave enough. Horrible service with an unpleasant attitude, salad was smaller than normal, the food took a very long time and when we asked if we could at least have some bread after over a half hour for our salads we were told she wasn't sure because that's only for dinner guests. We stayed at the hotel and decided to eat here because it was convenient. We were wildly impressed and would come here every time we are in town even if we aren't staying at the hotel. We made a reservation that day and they were able to seat us outside which was beautiful. Our food was excellent. We got the cheese plate, pork chop and chicken. Not sure why there are so many bad reviews. We were there last night and the server was coming by making sure everything was good and he was very attentive. Our food was delicious and the wait was fairly decent. They didn't have margaritas on the drink list but they made me one and it was one of the most delicious margaritas from a restaurant I ever had (I usually only like my own homemade). My wife & I went here for "Date Night" last night. As 23 year locals, it was nice to get away from the hustle & bustle of downtown Paso Robles. The ambience, food & service were excellent!! We went to Enoteca last Thursday for dinner. We had a reservation for 6:45 and the restaurant was not crowded, but they sat us by a patio exit door, which the staff used constantly to service the patio customers. We started with the asparagas salad which had a total of about 2 teeny tiny 1/2" pieces of asparagas. Absolutely ridiculous. My husband had the dried out overdone halibut. I had scallop dish. I was not impressed. The best part was the wine, which we brought ourselves. Very expensive and not very good. read more

We stayed in this hotel Easter weekend, and I was impressed by the menu. I also liked that the restaurant extended outside to the pool area, which is where we sat. I ordered the veggie omelet, and my friend ordered the french toast. My omelet was good, however, it does not come with cheese (I guess they assume anyone eating a veggie omelet is vegan??), but I liked the fried little potatoes that come with it. A lovely restaurant inside the Bellasera Hotel in Paso Robles, they were willing to seat a group of 12 on a weeknight. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable and drinks arrived quickly - huge variety of great wines and cocktails, deliciously prepared. Next were appetizers and we had many different ones - salads with baby chioggia beets, romaine caesar, wedge, blue crab cakes sautéed and served with an aioli, and baby asparagus and crispy brussels spouts. All was from fresh, high quality ingredients and well-prepared and flavorful. Entrees ranged from grilled baby lamb chops to ribeye steak, to double pork chop and a chicken breast stuffed with prosciutto and spinach. Wine, by the bottle and glass, represented many excellent local wineries and were well priced. A few people had dessert - brûlée cheesecake, chocolate torte and fruit tarts. The desserts were also carefully crafted and tasted great. We all left lots poorer, as the final bill was over $175 per couple, but very stuffed and happy! Eat here! read more

Great place for a group dinner This review is for a group dinner -- 32 people. They did a fantastic job with the food and the ambiance just can't be beat. We were out on the patio and it was a comfortable fall night. Really made the whole night special and at a fairly reasonable price. Not everybody can do a group well along with being an interesting place to dine. It was awesome partly because unlike other restaurants, there was no need for a contract and no minimum Food & Beverage required. They just treated it like any other reservation despite the large size. ( We did need to set up a limited menu, but that is just smart.) Service was great. The food was fantastic. The price was very reasonable. This place covered all the bases and that is rare. read more

I am hoping that someone in the management of this restaurant replies to this review. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Paso. It's very low key, yet warm and inviting. I normally come for lunch with at least 2 or 3 people when I am in the area. I am guessing 20+ visits since the hotel has opened. It's one of my favorite restaurants to conduct a business lunch. I decided to try dinner with my family. We were all dressed up for a big night. I had a sportcoat on, and we were all excited as we were warmly greeted by the Bellasera Hotel front desk staff. That's when, for lack of a better phrase, we were punched in the face by the elderly hostess. It was like a record had been scrached with a needle. As the hostess intently focused on her notes at her podium, she asked how many people would be dining. After which, her head went down, eyes intently focused on her notes. As if she were studying a closed-loop integral math equation. There were dozens of open tables at the time. One moment she said...off to walk around the restaurant. We waited patiently. Back to the booth. Studying intently again. Notice that I have not used the word smile. Or happily greeted... Ok this way. As we were seated and menus passed out, she used the word "condescending" to a one of us. Nobody had asked her a question or spoke to her. It was completely out of left field. How on Earth could any hostess ever use this word without offending someone. "I don't mean to be condescending. ...". "Really, I am not trying to be condescending. ..". "Not to sound condescending but....". Just the use of the spoken word condescending is CONDESCENDING. Someone needs to let her know she's rude. I didn't. I was not about to ruin an incredibly night on the town. Our service and waiter was outstanding. Totally turned the music back on the record machine. He quickly helped us with food choices, and the shrimp, cheese and artichoke appetizer was our favorite. We also always order the babyback rib appetizer too. Our meals were awesome! Prime rib cooked to perfection. Drinks capped and food server hot. Dennis did all this while tending the bar too. Obviously 1 star off for the crabby insulting hostess. We decided to to spend the 4th of July with good friends at a nice memorable restaurant. And we did! My friend and I were a little bothered when our husbands sat positioning themselves right in front of the Angels game but what can you say? I had the pork chop and my husband had the ribeye. Our friends had the halibut and the ribeye as well. The food was awesome, the server was one of the best and most accomodating. I was excited to find that they served Peiper Heidsieck Champagne on line (my favorite) for $10 a glass and when I was brought a small split (which made me very happy) I thought that must be the glass since they never even asked if I wanted a glass or a bottle let alone a split.... until we got the bill. We heard a table near us questioning their bill which made us take a look at ours and my little bottle of Peiper was $35.00! I was a little bothered by that because I would have been happy with a $10 glass or two glasses for that price since the split held two glasses at the most! I would have gladly paid $20 for the two glasses but was a little taken back when I hadn't been asked if I wanted the split. Our server was very apologetic and took about $10 off but if you are wondering about prices before ordering ASK! At least ask prices when from the bar because my friend also got charged for a bottle when she had just had a glass as the server explained the "b" and "g" (bottle/glass) key are close to each other. I hate squabbling over the bill after a wonderful evening but it is the principle!! I do suggest you look closely before laying down your credit card, it sounded like a few people had errors in tables around us which kind of broke the mood. But over all the food was wonderful and the atmosphere was great minus the game on TV and the service was great. I would suggest that you clarify if you want a bottle, a split or a glass when ordering wine. No one wants to ask about price at a nice restaurant but in this day and age some people need to if your drink is going to cost as much as your meal. I would go back again and would recommend this restaurant just remember to go over your bill at the end of the night. read more

We love staying at La Bellasera whenever we're in Paso - its conveniently located, amazingly relaxing, just a little bit indulgent and the best thing? There is a pretty darn delicious restaurant on the premises so its within walking distance of your room if you don't feel like dressing up or driving after a relaxing day of wine tasting. We've eaten dinner here a number of times during trips to Paso - the food is delicious, they usually have some interesting specials and if you're staying at the hotel, they will let you bring your own wine and not charge corkage for the first bottle!!! Four of us dined at this hotel restaurant recently and we all had wonderful food! Hubby's halibut was "one of the best he's ever had." The portion O fish was sizable. I kept trying to steal halibut off of his plate. The swordfish was good too but go for the halibut and that sauce of wonderment! Service at the restaurant is attentive and helpful. Enoteca was most definitely a scrumptious culinary experience and worth every cent! Our server was extremely attentive and just plain fantastic! He introduced us to a friend who is a local vintner and provided a tasting before we started dinner. We started with a delicious Amuse Bouche...on the house. My friend selected the Roasted Butternut Squash Soup and I chose the Calamari which was served with a chili dipping sauce; both were delicious. We both ordered the Coconut Crusted Halibut with Jasmine rice, soy glazed vegetables in a pineapple curry cream. The dish was quite substantial in size for one person; two could definitely share it and feel satisfied, leaving room for dessert. The halibut was perfectly cooked and oh, so flavorful; it had the right amount of sweet and spicy, making it difficult to not eat the whole thing! We brought our own wine which was a mistake because it did not pair well with our meal, so we had a glass and left the rest. I recommend you not bring your own and allow the experts do the pairing. After the huge plate of halibut, and even though we were quite full from dinner, we felt we could not leave without dessert (and we were celebrating a birthday), so we ordered the Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream. It was good, but I felt it was too much chocolate and definitely needed a serving of berries to counter the chocolate. Yummy, hidden gem. Smaller place in the La Bellasera hotel but great food. Husband really enjoyed his Ribeye. I had scallops, which were cooked perfectly. The service was nice and the drinks were good. Only one TV in the place, so don't go in there if you are looking to watch multiple games. There is a Chili's around the corner for that. We make a point to eat at this restaurant every time we visit Paso. This time, I am taking the time to review because the food was excellent as always, and we had such a wonderful bar experience too. The bartender came over to our seats (by the beautiful fireplace) listened to each of our likes/dislikes and custom made drinks for us. I had a cucumber martini which he muddled and floated sparkling wine. Every one of the four drinks was custom made with care and attention. This is RARE! Claiming to be an upscale restaurant but with the service that low quality i rather eat in chilis across the street. 20 minutes to get your menus. Another 20 to get your drinks. Now after an hour of wait time finally you getting your highly overpriced food that just average. Don't ruin your day just choose a better restaurant there are plenty of those in the area. read more

We had dinner plans elsewhere in the city but after being buzzy and too sleepy (and nervous since the other place had bad Yelp reviews!) to want to leave the hotel thank goodness we decided to come here instead! The food was excellent and the service was great. I wasn't up for a big meal after the big lunch and all of the wine tasting so I only had the broccolini and white cheddar soup and the wedge Caesar salad. The soup had some kick to it but everyone ended up sampling and enjoying it. Everyone had something different from halibut to veal and everything was amazing. Myself and my better half came back to the bar a little later and the service was unfortunately lacking a bit there - but the bartender was at least friendly when he got around to helping us. We were so excited to have a relaxing Saturday morning breakfast at this place! All the pictures and reviews were to our liking, but when we arrived there was a sign at the entrance of the restaurant that stated "please seat yourself". We proceeded to find a table outside on the patio. My husband and I sat down and we waited and waited and waited and waited......etc...... Next to us was a table covered with the previous patrons dirty dishes accompanied by many flies and bee's. We eventually gave up and walked out back through the restaurant. Here it is...I'm a food snob. As one, you dream of the days you can count on one hand the blissful meals that drive your palate to the extremes. You delight in their savor. You embrace the combinations. You drench yourself in their splendor. When you get done dreaming and need the real deal, go to Enoteca. The food DELIVERS. I had the Black Pepper Crusted Filet Mignon Aged White Cheddar Potatoes Au Gratin, Sautéed Haricots Verts, Herb Butter, Marchand de Vin. Cooked to perfection. The Potatoes Au Gratin is sort of a Potatoes au Gratin meets potato cake. An absolute delight that sent me straight to heaven. And the Haricots had some divine intervention. For those who don't like veggies, this is a pastor who has just now converted you. --- The hubster had Lemon Grilled 14 oz. Certified Angus Ribeye, Grilled Scallions Mashed Potatoes Tian with Goat Cheese, Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus, Horseradish Crème Fraiche. Shut the front door. Really? Our forks were permanently glued to our lips to kiss this delightful invention. The portion sizes are large. You could almost split an entree. As good as this was, we ended up taking doggie bags to our room. Remember to NOT put them in the hotel mini bar, as that has no refrigeration (weird). Put them in the guest fridge under the TV cabinet. --- When we brought the leftovers home after the weekend, the meal was just as delicious the following day. WELL DONE ENOTECA. We will be back! Salut! --- We were back the next morning for breakfast. Breakfast must be the same chef. Mushroom and cheese omelette? He wowed me with Portobello mushrooms. This was a carry out meal, so I really can't speak to the service or much of the things you'd normally mention in a review however I will say the people were friendly and did offer to bring me some water while I waited after I showed up a little early. So I guess I can say the service is nice there. The wife and I shared the grilled asparagus salad with shrimp which we both agreed was very good. I'm sure this would be a great date night spot. Perhaps the next time we're in town we'll shoe horn a real meal from this stop into the schedule. read more
