A relaxed brewery with huge outdoor areas. Definitely the place to drink if have kids, lol. Went for flight of 4 to try ones that sounded interesting, since no idea which one would be good. Definitely paralysis from analysis with many choices:) All has it's own unique character, so just gotta try a flight and find the one you like to move onto pints I guess. Had to drive out of Paso so the flight was just perfect refreshment to share with wife. Had doubts about the green one, maybe that's Lucky Lager? But it was surprisingly good and was my favorite one! Kid had fun climbing on to the stage and running around during the short stop. read more

I've been to many Breweries. Never have I Ever smelt literal.... Shit! It smells so bad & they say it's the brewing process. Ok. Kinda make me wonder what's in the beer??? I never leave bad reviews, but ... I'll def never come back. Wish I could leave a negative 1 star. Also super dirty bathrooms, no toilet paper or paper towels. I think I need a tetanus shot after today. I will say- their food truck food looked amazing! But couldn't eat it, because of the smell of that was flooding the environment. Spent too much money with no enjoyment read more

This place is awesome!!! It's so big and spacious. Great for when you're done wine tasting and just want some other non wine alcohol. We were over wine tasting after spending thousands on bottles and needed a change, and maybe not spending so much on bottles. Lol. We came to get some beers. I got the Michelada and a hazy. I didn't like their michelada, it was too tomato-y and not sour enough. Should have asked for a chelada. It wasn't good. But their hazy IPA was good. Stick with regular beers! Got their fries and burger for the toddler. He liked the fries and ate the burger later. Place is super spacious for large gatherings or just a meet up. Lots of kids and kid friendly environment and dogs too. Live music. This is what brewery used to be like and should be more like, if space is available. read more

What a great spot for brews and good company! They have indoor and outdoor seating - mainly outdoor seating. Plenty of shade and chairs to hang out. The kids stayed busy by the rock fountain and pond area. Lots of little shops around tin city. All the beers we tried were good. Careful with the root beer one bc it tastes like there's no alcohol in it but there is! read more

Such a great place!! Excellent beers, seltzers, and even slushies & Moscow mules! They are creative here and everything they make is delicious!! The Longhorn root beer is amazing!! Too many great beers to mention. My fave is Really Nelson. Truly something for every palate. Excellent ambiance - Both indoors & outdoors. Often live music on the front truck stage. Also an excellent concert venue at the rear stage. Everyone who works there is super nice. Their Society membership perks are wonderful!! Lots of festive merch. Complimentary pretzels & mustard. Fun games. read more

Good variety and the bingo night last week was fun despite the heat. Pricy beer as breweries always are but worth the unique flavors. Cute gift area! read more

The beer as always is great. If I had a nit to pick it is the change in music. I don't want to hear an advertisement for a brewery where I'm having a beer. Much better when the beer tenders playlist was up. The beer tenders are the best source of info for what is happening at BHBC, not some random advert that interrupts the music. read more

I had heard great things about the Paso area breweries, so we decided to give Barrelhouse a try on the way to the beach and they didn't disappoint! The brewery had a lot of outdoor seating with a nice waterfall to enjoy your beverage near. We didn't get any food but my husband had a couple beers which he said were crisp & refreshing. Inside the store they had cute merchandise for men and women, the employee was helpful and also informed us of a sale they had going on. We can't wait to go back to try the food! read more

We did some flights at the bar, and ended up staying longer in order to share one more drink, the chocolate porter slushy ... whaaaat, a beer slushy? YUMYUMYUM!!! All of the beer was delicious, but that slushy beer was insane. The beer tender was super knowledgeable, the merchandise was great, and we ended up taking home a 6 pack. There is a fantastic outdoor space, both tranquil and fun with a stage and a great band playing. We will definitely return here! read more

Friday evenings are great to spend here! The music, the atmosphere, the people... & kid-friendly. There's a space in the back with even more seating, and a place for the kids to run around in grass & on a stage when not in use. The food was served quick! And the beer is, of course, great! Will definitely be spending more time here. read more

The beer and atmosphere is just fabulous! They have delicious beer and cool merchandise. We came here with kids and enjoyed ourselves. There's an icecream shop about two minutes away. We also brought our dog on a leash. Service is great, everyone was so friendly. Next time we are in the area, we will definitely be stopping here again! Thank you Dan for your hospitality! read more

BarrelHouse Brewing Co. is a family friendly drink and eat hangout spot in Paso Robles in the Tin City collection of breweries, distilleries and wineries. It has a large outdoor footprint with ample outside seating and play features for kids and family. It has a smaller inside, barstool and bar table set up for rainier days. We were there on a weekend in February and they had their burger shack up and running with some of the best sweet potato fries we've ever eaten. They also had a solo artist playing outside near the picnic tables. Bar service is order at the bar with a separate food kiosk. Families and dogs as well as date nights and buddy groups all are welcome. They do need to staff some more bartenders because service was a bit slow and food service also took quite a bit of time - as in 30 minutes for a single order of sweet potato fries. Overall, this is a chill hangout spot with the potential for an all day stay. read more

Our Air B n B host recommended this place to my partner and I. After a disappointing visit to Firestone Walker we headed to try this spot. The vibe here was excellent! People were happy and the employees were having a good time in general. We both got flights, they had a great selection of beers! The best and most notable were both the root beer and the slushee! Definitely try! Big shout out to Tim who was the friendliest dude! Definitely recommend this place! Support local! read more

Barrelhouse was a fun stop. We went inside and got a drink. It was busy, so it took a bit to get a drink. I applaud the team, because they were working hard! They didn't have any ciders, so we got some beer and a hard seltzer. We sat outside, which was really well set up. The drinks were alright, nothing to write home about. Cool venue, decent drinks. read more

Quality/Quantity - One of our favorite breweries, especially in the Paso Robles area! We used to come here during the "pandemic" when we HAD to buy food to be allowed to drink at bars and breweries. This company was genius, we bought a cup of noodles for $1, then donated it back at the end of the counter to the local charity, LOL. Things we do for beer. Today they also had a fundraiser, see pictures. Also cool car shows, BBQ, DJ, etc. Daily specials, see picture or website. Free pretzels which "forces" us to drink more, lol. Oh, and of course good beer. My favorite is the Ipanero IPA. Atmosphere - Cool spot. Cool decor. See pictures. Indoor, outdoor, tented, lounge, etc. Dog and kid friendly. Indoor and outdoor bars throughout the property, mobile bar set ups available, etc. Amphitheater, events; see picture or website. Sample events - Trivia, line dancing, etc. Food trucks - The front one was open, but the rear one was closed. Open 7 days a week from 11am to 9pm. Street parking. I can't remember if they have private parking...? Or maybe it was closed today for an event...? Service - Good. Price - $9 a beer + generous tips. Expensive, but that is the price for quality. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2012/2013 with your 4 locations. Looking forward to you opening "The Hanger." read more

We stop here every year the day before the Firestone Walker Invitational Beer Festival. It's a big facility with lots of seating both indoors and outside. A stage for live music outside along with food trucks. Service is always spot on but they were out of a lot of the beers on draft. They also sell cans to go. Great spot for those summer time nights to grab a beer and see some bands. read more

Well visited place in Tin City for good reason. Huge variety of beer and other drinks. My fave is the Hazy IPA, it's light and refreshing. I love it! In the back there's a food truck. True Brew Located in Paso Robles' Tin City, Barrelhouse Brewing has been serving up award-winning beers and good times since its opening in early 2013. In fact, their location is one of the main reasons that Tin City became the artisan hub that it is today. After just one visit, it's easy to see why other businesses would flock to be around them. The Good: *With nearly two dozen beers on-tap, there's sure to be something for everyone. *Huge bïergarten with some superlative views and shaded outdoor space. *Dog and kid friendly *Great selection of SWAG *Cornhole! *Outdoor stage for concerts (check their website or IG for schedule) *Friendly, helpful, and patient bar staff *We loved all the beers we tried, but the Double Hazy IPA and Curly Wolf Imperial Stout were both standouts. The Meh: *No food available, but evidently, food trucks do show up frequently. The Ugly: *Nothing! Just wish it was closer to me =/ Conclusion: Fantastic beer in a great family-friendly environment. Highly recommended. read more

I ordered a chicken salad that was awful! The chicken was tough like beef jerky I couldn't even eat it. I would have sent it back but it took FOREVER to get our food that it wasn't worth the wait for me. read more

This is one of the far and few breweries with a beer garden that reminded me of the ones in Bavaria. It had a large beer garden with a kids play area and bench seating. If it had more benches, trees for shading, and an indoor restaurant it would totally be a Bavarian beer garden. Oh, let's not forget the traditional pretzels, which I'm surprised few breweries have them. Can see coming back here not only for the wide selection on tap, but also for the nearby options and that it has a nice garden. read more

Their basic cheeseburger made me throw up. I didnt even buy alcohol just the burger. I'd like to say I found a great place, but it's no secret. Another one of Paso's great things to do. Love the brews, and really enjoyed the food truck featured, Smash'n Roll. With a couple of buddies, we invaded one of Tin City's best. Large seating under a covered tent in front, summer chairs around firepits and patio tables with umbrellas on the side, and more of both in the back along with a pro stage (yes, major bands, check the schedule). I ordered a couple of different beers: an oatmeal stout (4.5 stars) and a Citrus Ale (4.5 stars). Along with great customer services and fair prices ($8-9 for 16 oz) and the awesome atmosphere, this alone is one great place. But now onto the food truck, wow. They offer smashburgers and lobster rolls (thus the name, Smash'n Roll), salads, fried chicken sandwiches, fries. Well, I had a $19 smashburger, and it was surprisingly fantastic, no perfect. Oh yeah, I'll be back and often. read more

Went here while waiting on our dinner table at an Italian place in Tin City. This places looks like a barn transformed into a brewery. Big open space and the building can be seen from far away. Barrelhouse is a neat, spacious brewery in Tin City where you'll find a decent selection of brews, a little gift shop, a couple of TVs, and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Situated in the middle of Tim City, this tasting room is unique and they offer lots of outside seatings with shades which we appreciated very much. The best beer in Paso! Great place for entertainment too and staff.... The best!! When I found out I had to move out of town, I will go out of my way and make the drive to visit as often as possible. Start my visit there with the Michelada made with Sunny Daze then move on to try something new. Christmas time I got the stout with the peppermint stick. My last visit I tried the sour, (I've never had a bad sour there) and if you want to try an actually good, more robust seltzer, this is the place. Then when we're done, stick the car up with our go to favs (Dazed, Hazy, Sunny Daze, Mango IPA, a couple of crowlers) and head home. Can't wait to go back. read more

Have come to this location since the beginning. I've watched it grow into the monster it is now. While they have gotten huge the beer is still my favorite and staff is still amazing. When places grow they usually forget about what got them there and the people aspect typically dies off. The staff is what makes me love coming to Barrelhouse. They always take the time to answer my questions. I hate most beer I'm not into IPA's unless it's the Barrelhouse Michelada.Sunny Daze forever rules in my opinion. Love the merchandise here and highly recommend. This location has amazing outdoor seating areas, outdoor games. Had limited indoor seating, but with what is offered outside you'll only find me inside if it's cold. Definitely worth checking out. Can't wait for their new location to open up! read more
