I had heard great things about the Paso area breweries, so we decided to give Barrelhouse a try on the way to the beach and they didn't disappoint! The brewery had a lot of outdoor seating with a nice waterfall to enjoy your beverage near. We didn't get any food but my husband had a couple beers which he said were crisp & refreshing. Inside the store they had cute merchandise for men and women, the employee was helpful and also informed us of a sale they had going on. We can't wait to go back to try the food!

    Unbelievably delicious chocolate porter slushy!!

We did some flights at the bar, and ended up staying longer in order to share one more drink, the chocolate porter slushy ... whaaaat, a beer slushy? YUMYUMYUM!!! All of the beer was delicious, but that slushy beer was insane. The beer tender was super knowledgeable, the merchandise was great, and we ended up taking home a 6 pack. There is a fantastic outdoor space, both tranquil and fun with a stage and a great band playing. We will definitely return here!

BarrelHouse Brewing Co. is a family friendly drink and eat hangout spot in Paso Robles in the Tin City collection of breweries, distilleries and wineries. It has a large outdoor footprint with ample outside seating and play features for kids and family. It has a smaller inside, barstool and bar table set up for rainier days. We were there on a weekend in February and they had their burger shack up and running with some of the best sweet potato fries we've ever eaten. They also had a solo artist playing outside near the picnic tables. Bar service is order at the bar with a separate food kiosk. Families and dogs as well as date nights and buddy groups all are welcome. They do need to staff some more bartenders because service was a bit slow and food service also took quite a bit of time - as in 30 minutes for a single order of sweet potato fries. Overall, this is a chill hangout spot with the potential for an all day stay.

10/10 recommend! Such a fun spot to go with friends, the beer is great, the foods great and the staff is great, I have never had a bad experience here.

Perfect day for a drink outside!

Barrelhouse was a fun stop. We went inside and got a drink. It was busy, so it took a bit to get a drink. I applaud the team, because they were working hard! They didn't have any ciders, so we got some beer and a hard seltzer. We sat outside, which was really well set up. The drinks were alright, nothing to write home about. Cool venue, decent drinks.

Quality/Quantity - One of our favorite breweries, especially in the Paso Robles area! We used to come here during the "pandemic" when we HAD to buy food to be allowed to drink at bars and breweries. This company was genius, we bought a cup of noodles for $1, then donated it back at the end of the counter to the local charity, LOL. Things we do for beer. Today they also had a fundraiser, see pictures. Also cool car shows, BBQ, DJ, etc. Daily specials, see picture or website. Free pretzels which "forces" us to drink more, lol. Oh, and of course good beer. My favorite is the Ipanero IPA. Atmosphere - Cool spot. Cool decor. See pictures. Indoor, outdoor, tented, lounge, etc. Dog and kid friendly. Indoor and outdoor bars throughout the property, mobile bar set ups available, etc. Amphitheater, events; see picture or website. Sample events - Trivia, line dancing, etc. Food trucks - The front one was open, but the rear one was closed. Open 7 days a week from 11am to 9pm. Street parking. I can't remember if they have private parking...? Or maybe it was closed today for an event...? Service - Good. Price - $9 a beer + generous tips. Expensive, but that is the price for quality. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2012/2013 with your 4 locations. Looking forward to you opening "The Hanger."

We stop here every year the day before the Firestone Walker Invitational Beer Festival. It's a big facility with lots of seating both indoors and outside. A stage for live music outside along with food trucks. Service is always spot on but they were out of a lot of the beers on draft. They also sell cans to go. Great spot for those summer time nights to grab a beer and see some bands.

This is one of the far and few breweries with a beer garden that reminded me of the ones in Bavaria. It had a large beer garden with a kids play area and bench seating. If it had more benches, trees for shading, and an indoor restaurant it would totally be a Bavarian beer garden. Oh, let's not forget the traditional pretzels, which I'm surprised few breweries have them. Can see coming back here not only for the wide selection on tap, but also for the nearby options and that it has a nice garden.

True Brew Located in Paso Robles' Tin City, Barrelhouse Brewing has been serving up award-winning beers and good times since its opening in early 2013. In fact, their location is one of the main reasons that Tin City became the artisan hub that it is today. After just one visit, it's easy to see why other businesses would flock to be around them. The Good: *With nearly two dozen beers on-tap, there's sure to be something for everyone. *Huge bïergarten with some superlative views and shaded outdoor space. *Dog and kid friendly *Great selection of SWAG *Cornhole! *Outdoor stage for concerts (check their website or IG for schedule) *Friendly, helpful, and patient bar staff *We loved all the beers we tried, but the Double Hazy IPA and Curly Wolf Imperial Stout were both standouts. The Meh: *No food available, but evidently, food trucks do show up frequently. The Ugly: *Nothing! Just wish it was closer to me =/ Conclusion: Fantastic beer in a great family-friendly environment. Highly recommended.

Went to the anniversary party. Great food, amazing beer of course! And ran into some old friends! Perfect night! Friendly service too!

Well, first impression is all bad! I hate to use the race card but I feel like they just didn't want to help the black girl in this instance. I was looked over several times and people were helped before me when it was CLEARLY my turn! Welp, better luck next time.

Ask the Community - BarrelHouse Brewing Co

We are 1st visiting this weekend for a concert....can we bring our pup?

Usually pets are welcome yes, if it's a special event I'd call and double check with the business.

Do you offer any N/A beers?

We do! We typically have at least one NA beverage on tap. Currently, it's CENTENNIAL DRY-HOPPED SPARKLING WATER, and it's delicious. See ya soon!

We’re coming to a concert next month, do we bring our own chairs? Also will food be available?

Hello! We have picnic tables and grass for blankets. Plus we have a food truck serving up tasty grub to go with great beer and live music!

    Do you sell wine too?

Hi Sarah, we are a brewery that manufactures beer. Our license only allows us to sell our products. But we do have a huge selection of beers that range from Hard Seltzers to Stouts, IPA, Hazy's, and everywhere in between. Cheers!

Can you bring your own food from elsewhere, or can you only buy from the food truck stationed there?

Either or! We have a fantastic food purveyor on site, of feel free to bring anything else you’d like. The only thing we can’t have is outside alcohol, due to our licensing. See you soon!

Can we bring our children? Have a picnic while we enjoy a flight of your best craft beer?

Yes, you can. They have outdoor seating. Games for the kids. CHEERS !!!

Yeah well, this is definitely not the case here at Primal House. First time visit here, which we stumbled upon just by driving around and exploring. Now this place will definitely be a "must" whenever we come back into town. Ordered the Primal Burger, which in my humble opinion is second to none and probably one of the best I've had thus far! 4oz (x2) of the freshest, most succulent, meat-forward tasting, and perfectly cooked beef (medium rare) you could ever imagine! WOW, just wow! Superb service the day we came and we were also humbled to have met Chef Marcel who just happened to come out to the dining area to say hello. That speaks volumes in my book. Thank you, Chef. As I write this review, I'm already looking forward to trying their ribeye the next time we come back to town! LOL. CHEERS and happy eating till next time...

Made a reservation for seven, brought our own bottle of J Duci (obviously), and settled into the fine dining area, which was noticeably quieter and more relaxed than the bar scene. Great call. Now, we came in as wine people. But the beer? Genuinely blew us away. We did a flight just to be thorough, and my dad -- a man who loves his wine -- abandoned ship entirely and went straight for the black cherry dunkelweizen. How do I describe it? Imagine someone took a Dr Pepper, gave it a glow-up, and turned it into an actual craft beer. Bizarre. Wonderful. 10/10 would confuse my taste buds again. On the food: the artichoke dip had a nice little kick to it that snuck up on you in the best way. The pretzels and cheese sauce? We need to have a serious conversation about the pretzel-to-cheese-sauce ratio, because we ran out of pretzels long before we ran out of sauce. That's not a complaint -- that's a cry for help. Send more pretzels. Three of us went for the prime rib special and my husband got the ribeye with mushrooms. The salad that came with the prime rib was fresh and crisp, and the blue cheese dressing was legit. The prime rib itself was juicy, well-seasoned, and not overly fatty. Fair warning though -- it seemed like they roast it and then finish it on the grill, so getting a true medium-rare is probably off the table. Ours came out closer to medium, but it had this great steak-like texture that honestly worked. Would I order it again? Absolutely yes. The mashed potatoes that came with everything were also quietly excellent -- the kind of side dish you keep going back to without realizing it. Really looking forward to coming back and working our way through more of the menu. Hidden gem alert for anyone doing the Paso wine trail!
