I have been going to Endgame for going on 3 years now. Let me start by saying when this place is functioning properly, it is SO fun! So many cool games to play, lots of drink choices, and an inviting atmosphere makes this place a great venue to visit for a night out with friends or even a solo visit! Unfortunately, that is only when this place is functioning properly. The food is really not great, but my biggest gripe by far about this place is the service. I have gotten good service maybe three times.Every other time the servers either do not come to us, take extremely long, or are rude and acting like we're messing up their day by asking for basic customer service. Just the other day my friend and I ordered tower station. When we received the beers, they were absolutely not tower station. We asked to switch beers and our first server was very kind and accommodating. Then out of nowhere came this (im assuming supervisor?) that said "what happened with the beers? I checked the keg its fine." with a super rude attitude. It was so awkward my whole friend group talked about it afterwards. Additionally, I don't think I have ever had the same server/bartender twice. The turnover rate is likely very high. This place has so much potential. I really wish the owners took its management seriously and hired some competent servers. Want to rate it higher. read more

I had been wanting to see what this place was about and it is definitely the ultimate gaming experience. The have all different gaming consoles, pc's along with many many games to choose from. Our hostess "Jessica" was very upbeat, helpful and attentive. She was also our waitress as she wears many different hats, but seems to love what she does, which gave us an amazing experience We all had burgers and fries, we ordered the appetizer with onion rings, chicken bites etc and the food didn't disappoint!! It's way better than regular bar food and I had a piccachu drink! A mild spicy drink similar to a margarita, that was tasty & didn't give me a headache the next morning!! All I have to say is wowwwww !!! I stumbled across this place looking for change to tip another establishment as they, didn't allow tipping on the receipt. This place looks like a fun time as they have Sunday Brunch with televisions throughout for watching the Game. Randy the chef, was setting up a buffet style menu in preparation for today's event which also btw... is EVERY SUNDAY! PRICES VARY but the VIP area, has comfortable seating and ranges starting at $150 which, includes a bottle and mimosas juices. Came out her unplanned with some friends. They told me kind of what the scene was and I was intrigued. It was so much fun. It reminded me of how parties used to be back in the day. Wow! What a spectacularly horrible experience my first time trying to go to this bar that my friend recommended. I just moved to Phoenix and my co-worker suggested this place for someplace cool to go with my wife and a few of the friends that I've been able to make here for my birthday. I thought the idea sounded great. Go to a casual bar, people can come and go when they please, we can all hang out drink and play video games. My kind of good times. Especially for two people who don't like to organize these types of things and new to the city (like my wife and I). I sent out a bunch of text during the week and told them to meet me at Endgame at 7pm or whenever they could make it. The wife, a few friends, and I get there a little before 7pm. We walk in to be greeted by a sign that says "Endgame closed UNTIL 8PM for Private Event" (see image). I see a staff member and ask them about it. What's going on? They explain to me that yeah, there's closed until 8 for a private event. Sure... okay. I'll be back. I'm annoyed and hungry... but okay... we can go some place for an hour. I'll text as many people as I can to let them know, but it's probably cool bc people always show up late anyway. We go some place to find fries to hold us over and go back for a few minutes after 8. There's now a few people at the door and someone taking a cover fee. I ask them what's going on and they tell me it's a private event. "Another one?" I explain to them that I saw a sign that said they had a private event UNTIL 8PM. I'm here after 8PM. It's my birthday. I've told a bunch of people to meet me here bc you're a bar and I checked the website and there's nothing about it being closed for a private event. A tall man who is standing there (who a friend said was the owner) looks at one of the people standing behind the booth and says that he knew that sign would confuse people the way it was written. No apology to me. Didn't even address me. There's about 7 of us now. We're all wondering what's going on, but we're basically just shrugged at like there's nothing that can be done and well, I guess that's just our bad luck. Total indifference. When we went outside and a group of five came up and asked what was going on because they came there earlier and read the sign too. So the absolute topper, in all the stuff happening, I managed to forget to text one of my friends to tell them about the change of plans. Now they're annoyed bc they had to drive 30 mins each way. I can't say I blame them, but I do hope they accept my apology. Since I've moved here, I've been looking for cool nerd places that I can go to and I really had high hopes about this place when I heard about it. But, this was just a horrible experience. From the organizing multiple texts to try to scramble to just tell people it would be delayed an hour bc of a private event and then to try to explain to them that instead we had to go somewhere else an hour later to forgetting to text one person who is a little out of the group texts going on. Really sucks because this bar seemed like everything I wanted. Geek hang out and goth club. I would've love to go here, but that was such a horrible experience and then to be met with nothing but indifference from everyone that worked there when they knew they wrote a sign that was factually incorrect. Dirty, dingy, poor service (bartender was lovely) very underwhelming. Plenty of game consoles but they only have about 6-7 games in total and most of the consoles like the Wiis have the same game, there's no theme per station to make it appealing. Having themes per station would have been a great offering such as having one station for Wii sports, another for racing games and another for Mario games, etc. PC's had no games it was a figure it out and maybe download a free game scenario. Very boring. We were provided with a number and were advised a server would be around to take our drink order. After waiting 20 minutes with no sign of a server on the floor I approached the hostess and who was unproductively sitting on the couch on her phone to inform her we had not been helped yet she said the server went home for the night. That couldn't be communicated? Upstairs area is closed off. The DJ was great but the business apparently can't even invest in decent sound equipment to let the DJ shine because let's be honest - the drink I had, the DJ and JENGA were the only entertaining aspects of this place for us. The speakers the DJ had to work with sounded like they were blown out. No sound quality. No bass. How do you say no? They have computers, to old school video game platforms, to themed game nights! It's like nerdy chic hangout! They don't have a huge menu but what they do have is really tasty and perfectly portioned. I didn't order alcohol this time around since I was heading to a club after my visit, but they had a full bar to choose from. The atmosphere was totally relaxed and welcoming. I loved seeing the cosplayers who showed up for a themed event night. We had one issue of where one of our dishes didn't come out in time and had to get it to go, but it was still really yummy! Me and my friends went to Endgame last week. There wasn't an event going on, only a few people gaming at the computers and no one else at the bar drinking besides us. We sat at the bar. My friend ordered food and drink and I ordered a beer, and spent 30 minutes at the bar just talking. As we were leaving, we were charged $5 per person. We explained to the cashier that we did not play any games but only stayed at the bar for 30 minutes. The cashier girl replied that now they charge $5 per person EVEN YOU DO NOT PLAY ANY GAMES. Last time we were charged for this gaming fee when we brought our own switch and controllers. I guess now they charge gaming fee even when you don't play any games. We were not informed about this at the entrance. So beware of getting charged even you order food and drinks only. read more

My boyfriend and I came here because we like drinks and we like games. However, the drinks were definitely not worth the price of high quality top shelf cocktails, and the games were a hodgepodge of unloaded files or missing disk. We had to wait several minutes and repeat our orders to multiple staff members. I also accidentally got charged twice for the same drink cause I guess the upstairs has a different system from the downstairs. The extra charge was removed but is nonetheless evidence of a system that isn't working. All in all, having spent as much as we did, we left disappointed, and would have been better off buying drinks and games to enjoy at home. PS. adding a calendar to display when covered events occur would be helpful for people who don't want to attend an event and visit a different day to avoid a cover. read more

My girlfriend and I came in right after 4pm. The information says they are open but no one was there to give us service. We walked out, and we walking outside leaving when a hostess came out the door and apologized for the wait. When we went in, she took my credit card and told us that we would pay $5 each to play games. We said we wanted to play Wii sports and order some drinks, but that was the last we heard from anyone in the whole building. There was literally no one except for us in there, yet the hostess who was serving us would walk back and forth on her phone and completely ignore us for more than 10 minutes. We didn't even get the Wii sports disc. After that, my girlfriend went to get the car and when I found the lady to get my credit card back, she charged us $10 for the games that we couldn't even play. I've been going to this place a few times over the last several months with my two boys as an escape and opportunity for them to enjoy the video game systems while my wife and I have a drink and hang out. I have to say that each time that I go, it's a very chill atmosphere and my son's love the environment and it's not the same as taking them to one of the game places that's nearby. It's not kids all running around and it shouldn't be that way. This is a good place for mature kids who can play video games with adults And if you yourself enjoy playing the games it's a great place to do so. I like that they allow kids until 10 but at the same time I like that there's not kids everywhere other than my kids. Lol. Our experience at the soft opening was ok. Not super awesome but not super bad. We were all so pumped and excited to see Endgame open again! We first got seated in the waiting area on the left side of Endgame and our waitress was super nice, friendly, got our drinks to us quickly and checked in on us for refills often. But once we got switched over to the gaming side, our new waitress never came by our table to see if we needed any drinks or refill and it was like that for an entire hour while we were playing games. After an hour, we got tired of trying to get a hold of any waitress with no help, we decided to just call it a night and get the check but right when we all stood up, these two waitresses brings us another round of drinks we didn't even order then awkwardly left us alone for another 20 mins...with no check...until we literally had to grab someone by the door to ask for the check. Pros: the Tech guy, our waitress AT FIRST (in the waiting area), and the front desk guy were all so awesome! The interior of Endgame looks really nice and set ups + games are cool. Part of this is personal preference. Its too clubby for me. But, its not..terrible? The best I can really tell you is make sure you ask about any fees they have or covers. If they try to make you pay for two separate covers because they have 2 shows going on, walk away (Id recommend not opening a tab so they cant just tack it on) and continue your business. He spilled a drink on many tables and probably ruined their products. Many people were over served and it was a disaster. Bathrooms were disgusting and the bar was also destroyed before the event even started. The owner was threaten to throw people off the balcony if they got security. This was an unsafe venue. Super fun experience. Went on a Saturday right at opening and stayed until around 7pm. $5 per person covers use of all games. The whole place has different game console set ups like game cube, Nintendo switch, Wii, WiiU and PCs. Creative names for all the food and drinks. Jalapeño poppers and Mac n Cheese were good however Pizza Muffins fell short.The pizza muffins were a generous serving but had a lack of cheese/pepperoni inside, it was mainly bread. Funnel cake fries were mainly greasy and tasted strangely salty. The Luigi's Death Star drink was super sweet, would highly recommend. Staff was friendly and helpful with menu. I was happy to see lots of disinfectant wipes throughout the facility, made it super easy to clean when going to a new console. Happened to go on a game night and was pleasantly surprised to see the game not only playing on multiple TVs but also projected in the middle of the whole place. Came here with a couple of cousins over thanksgiving weekend and was not disappointed. Loved the atmosphere, there was a pretty decent selection of games that were all super fun. The food wasn't as up my street but we still ended up eating everything so I assume my family liked it, can't speak for the drinks/cocktails because no one in my family really drinks but they sounded good and had fun names haha. So, tonight was interesting. My wife and two of our friends went there tonight. It's fun there. But, let me tell you about their "staff".. Cody our server) and I use that term loosely. Came over and wow. I didn't think one person could be so excited to be at work. I mean sweet Jesus. He might as well be in a commercial for Make a Wish. That's how uplifting this guy was. Not only did he forget to place our order.. drinks took about 15 minutes. If I could have played a Sarah McLachlan song I would have. His attitude showed the moment he greeted us. We ordered two items and waited 45 minutes to an hour before Savannah and the young lady with blue short hair noticed us looking around for our server. The guy simply abandoned us. We explained what was happening and were told that "he's having a bad day" Well I dont care if you're having a bad day, you need to suck it up and carry on with your job. Take a breather for a few minutes and then come back. They tried to help with the situation. They got the food out within 5 minutes. They did their job. Since we only played two games, we asked if they could waive the gaming fee, which they did, but they didn't offer to take care of the two food items that we ordered and waited...and waited... and waited some more for. There was no manager present to make this a better experience for us, only the two women that noticed that we needed assistance and service.
