I should have looked at the reviews a little more thoroughly before I had 3 bedrooms tiled. Ray Olinger was the guy who came out and gave me an estimate. I used empire today because their tile matched my other floors the best. I had looked for tile at 10 places before deciding to use Empire Today. I asked Ray about the reviews and Ray told me that some were good, some bad but to him it seemed like the unhappy customers were the only ones doing reviews. I asked Ray who I was to call if there was an issue. He told me to call him and he would respond within minutes. I called him several times and he NEVER returned any of my calls. For 3 days I tried to reach him and no response. Ray shared he had worked in the tile business for 30 years and owned his own tile shop in Hawaii. I trusted him when he told me he would be there for any problems. Little did I know he was lying. I didn't discover most of the problems until after I had paid for the tile job-I should have waited for tile and grout to dry and then checked thoroughly before paying the balance!) The tilers told me not to walk on the floors for 24-48 hours after they left so I wasn't able to inspect their job before they left. Here were the problems I noticed with my job: 1. Mortar and grout were splashed 4 foot up the walls in the bedrooms. I spent 6 hours cleaning the walls. 2. Before I had the tile installed I painted all the woodwork (thinking I would be ahead in getting this done). After the job was done I had to paint most of the woodwork again. The workers cracked the woodwork in several places in all the rooms. None of the baseboards were cracked before they started the job. I had the baseboards replaced when I installed carpeting a few years ago. 3. Some of the grout was missing. Good thing they left some grout. I had to pay a handyman to fix that. 4. They broke the hinge off of the closet door in one of the rooms and never mentioned it. The door worked fine before they came. The piece was so damaged I had to replace it. How did that happen?? Brutal force and them not knowing how to take a door off. Handyman again! 5. They glued a closet guide to the new tile-it was crooked and the door would not move in the guide. I carefully scraped the guide off and had the handyman reset it. What a mess trying to remove the glue they used! 6. One of the closets is missing a 3 foot long by 1/2 inch wide piece of tile against the wall-I don't think they wanted to cut a small piece that was 1/2 inch wide. I didn't discover it until they left. They told me not to walk on the tile for 24-48 hours. I wasn't able to check the closets to make sure it was done properly. 6. They installed some poorly cut tile. I DID see that and told them it had to be redone. They argued some but did replace it. As you can see the job was not done to my expectations. These things were unacceptable. I asked Ray to call me. It has been 2 months and no word. Just make sure to read the reviews and don't believe everything you are promised. Where are you RAY??? read more

I have never felt so swindled in my life. This is the worst money I have ever spent on my home. I'm not sure why I'm taking so long to write this review, but it surely needs to be written. The sales person was horrible. The carpet we got was miserable quality compared with what was explained to us as high-quality. The warranty is no good when you refuse to pay the fee to have an inspector come out and look at the problem. My carpet is matted. It has buckles in it everywhere. It is pure trash. We will have this carpet ripped up and we will deal with a reputable company and get a higher quality carpet. My family was in the carpet business many years ago. My dad would have never treated his customers the way empire treated us when we called for warranty service. All I can say is lesson learned. Never, never again. Stay very far away from this company, as they are only interested in getting your money. Again, lesson learned for me. Take your time. Research the company you are dealing with. Had I taken the time to read their reviews. I would've never dealt with Empire. Even their responses to all of their horrible reviews are a joke. Pretend to care and make it look better. I don't think so. Someone needs to take legal action against this horrific company. read more

Empire Today Laminate Flooring Review - Proceed with Caution I hired Empire Today to install laminate flooring upstairs a year ago. During the consultation, they assured me that they would use a leveler to ensure even distribution across the subfloor. We noticed after the install a lot of uneven areas. We contacted the sales rep who moved here from California. He told us it was not his problem and to work with the install manager. That person came out and told us this was normal. Unfortunately, after pulling back the flooring due to concerns about creaking and unevenness, I discovered what I believe to be substandard workmanship. The subfloor beneath the laminate is visibly uneven, with patchy leveling and inconsistent surface treatment. This contradicts their claim of using a leveler and raises serious doubts about the integrity of the installation. Laminate flooring requires a smooth, stable base to perform well over time, and what I found does not meet that standard. I'm not writing this to be vindictive--I want other homeowners to be informed. If you're considering Empire Today, I strongly recommend inspecting the subfloor before installation and asking for documentation or photos of the leveling process. Don't rely solely on verbal assurances. This experience has been frustrating, and I hope my review helps others avoid similar issues. Quality flooring starts from the ground up--literally. read more

Empire Today - Patchy lack of quality Leveling under the laminate flooring - Carpet Installation Near Me

The salesman was good and the carpet was at a good price HOWEVER the install crew was ehhhh. The install was scheduled for one day and it ended up being two very long days. They finally finished on day two at 9pm. Day one we had to sleep on floor as our house was in shambles. They were any hour late both days from when they said they would arrive. Here is the kicker! Day one I step away from the house to run an errand. i had my painters at the house whom I trust and are like family. I learned one of the carpet installers went thru my kitchen drawers to look for silverware. The painters freaked out and called me informing me they were going thru kitchen. When I got home, the installer brought down the two dirty forks they had used. Now, had I been hims, sure I would have given them the forks but for them to help themselves without asking really upset me. The carpet does look good however there were only two guys doing install and they were slower than two turtles in a race. I don't recommend and wont be calling them for future projects! read more

We had an AMAZING EXPERIENCE with Empire Today, their staff, and the flooring crew!! Alphonso was our sales consultant and he was very professional, polite and answered all our questions. Judith, the installation supervisor came to our house twice and reviewed the job that Jaime and his crew were doing. They demoed 2753 Sq ft., on 3 levels and installed LVP and new baseboards in the entire house, including 4 sets of stairs and MANY bullnose corners. All in 2 weeks from start to finish! We LOVE our new flooring and baseboards! We will refer our friends to Empire Today and Jaime and his installation crew!! read more

Empire today did not come up with a resolution. I had carpet installed by Empire Today, and within a relatively short time, it began to buckle severely--creating not only an unsightly appearance but also a potential tripping hazard. I reached out to Empire Today to request a solution, expecting at least a professional inspection or warranty-based repair. Instead, I was informed that I would need to pay out-of-pocket to have the carpet stretched. The buckling is so bad now that I'm being told replacement may be necessary--again at my own expense. This is incredibly disappointing, especially given that proper installation should prevent this kind of issue. The lack of support and refusal to stand by their work or materials reflects poorly on their service. I'm seeking accountability and a fair resolution, either a full repair at no charge or a carpet replacement since the original cannot be fixed. I would appreciate someone from Empire Today reviewing this matter seriously and reaching out to resolve it appropriately. read more

Better quality carpet and pad - whole house 3 years ago. Wrinkles in 4 major areas today. Carpet stretching costs estimated to be several hundred per area. Empire says it's past warrantee. To boot, this home is only occupied about 1/2 a year. read more

We had purchased new flooring back in 2019. The sales man was super friendly and sold us flooring which we absolutely loved. He told us it's from Portugal and it lasts generations and people will even pull it up and take it with them when they move. He was great with our dogs and cats and knew we had 3 kids still living at home. The installation guys were great and the floor looked amazing!!! Then before leaving the installer said...."don't get the floors wet as they will curl". WHAT? I never would have chosen these floors with pets and kids.dropping an ice cube or a spill of any kind and immediately wiping it up creates the curl. Now 6 years down the road the floors are horrendous. Laundry room floor destroyed and already had to redo our front bathroom in tile due to a leak and we had already used all our backup planks. Trust the reviews on quality. Up front everything was great but a lifetime flooring should last longer than 6 years. read more

I would give them less than one star if I could. Very shady business practices. Salesman came out and I picked the carpet and scheduled the install. When the day came an installer who works for Lowes showed up. Mind you I had a quote directly from Lowes that was almost 1/2 the price. The sales person said the installer would move the furniture in the room. The installer refused to move anything and cancelled the install. Then Empire had the audacity to try to only refund 1/2 the deposit. I'm in the middle of a credit card dispute with them now. No one from the company was helpful at all. !STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS! read more

1-Star Review - Deceptive Sales Practices and Zero Accountability I'm extremely disappointed with Empire Flooring -- specifically due to salesman Nicholas Mckeand and the shady business practices tied to our project. We scheduled a whole-home flooring consult and clearly walked through every area needing new carpet and laminate. The scope was explicitly discussed, confirmed, and agreed upon. Or so we thought. On installation day, the crew showed up only to discover that over 300 square feet of flooring was missing -- including the laundry room and dining room. This was a complete shock. We immediately reached out to Nicholas Mckeand, who proceeded to ignore calls and texts. When he finally responded, it was only to promise a call back "shortly" -- which never happened. It wasn't until the installer contacted the installation manager (who then tracked down the salesman) that we got any clarity. The result? A new $1,800 bill to cover the additional materials he failed to include. And unless we paid it, the work would not be finished. This is not just poor service -- it's a textbook bait-and-switch. We chose Empire for the deal and timeline that Nicholas sold us on. That "deal" fell apart the moment we were held financially hostage to fix his mistake. BEWARE: Nicholas Mckeand will confidently confirm every detail to your face, then vanish when issues arise -- leaving you stuck with surprise costs and incomplete work. To be clear, the installers were excellent. Jaime and his crew were professional, respectful, and great to work with. They are the only reason this didn't become a total nightmare. Bottom line: Empire lost a customer for life. I strongly recommend going elsewhere unless you want to be misled, ignored, and overcharged. read more

Dave came out to do the initial measuring and selection of materials. He was nice enough and helpful, I was pretty happy with our interaction and had no concerns being this is a nationwide company. We selected a date for the first day of install (I was going LPV and carpet, LPV was getting done first). They showed up in the morning, but you don't get a window so it's a guessing game as to when they would come. They got to work immediately and I had no issues. After they finished one room, they said they did not have enough material for the job and said the order the store got stated the living room they just finished was supposed to be carpet - it was not, all the paperwork was correct when Dave left. They said they had to order some and it would be completed on Tuesday. Inconvenient as they already tore out the tile in my kitchen and now I would have to be living with concrete and unfinished floors for the weekend but not the end of the world. The carpet guys showed up on Monday for work. Arrived at 1000 and did not leave for TWELVE hours, doing 4 rooms and two sets of stairs. I had to call out of work to accommodate them getting finished. They were not aware of a small walkway I was adding with the LPV into a portion where the old carpet was and were just going to replace all the carpet. They were not provided measurements from the LPV people on how much they were going to use. Poor communication. Then come Tuesday. No call no show all day. Mid afternoon I call the company, they don't know why the installers didn't show but said I'd get a call back. Never did. I called again mid afternoon Wednesday. They said they had an appointment down for Thursday which no one had ever run by me. I rearranged my plans on Thursday yet again to accommodate them. They said they'd come first thing as I had to leave in the afternoon. Apparently installer showed up before 0800 and I didn't know since my phone is on DND until then. 0830 the company called and said I had an appointment for later in the day and to please pick up the breakables as if they didn't already have someone at my house. He came alone and took 7 hours to do two rooms of LPV. I had to cancel my afternoon plans, again. The baseboards look like crap, unaligned, not on the floor, covered in nail holes. There was no transition piece between the carpet and the LPV and portions were ALREADY coming up without even being lived on. They wanted me to sign for completion of the job but I said no. They have to come back out AGAIN to put in the transition. Photos for reference on what they consider "finished" product. Absolutely do not ever use this company. They hire the lowest bid contractors and you can tell. I thought I would have no issues since I've heard about them my whole life but I had every problem in the book. Beyond frustrated and disappointed. Highly DO NOT recommend. read more

The sales person brings postage stamp size samples (almost) from which to choose a buying decision that costs four figures. At some stores you can walk in and see the carpet on the roll and the experience is totally different. They did not even leave me a sample to lay down on the floor, and I couldn't see the carpet except when it was glued to a board. I can't make a decision based on such a small sample. When the carpet came in and was rolled out, it was an entirely different experience, and I would have never chosen that particular carpet. Wrong color tone, it gets marked by footprints too easily, too boring, makes me want to move. I can't wait until it gets stained so I have to replace it. I mean it will be serviceable, but... The experience with the people, however, was great. The first salesperson rushed me, but they corrected that and sent out someone who was kind and nice, so the process was good, which accounts for the second star. Otherwise, no bueno. read more

Beware!!! Don't buy from them. Terrible carpet won't last, called to get stretch 1 time and now it needs again a few months later and they told me I had to call someone else to fix. I couldn't be happier with my new floors from Empire. From start to finish, the job was completed on time, on budget, quality products, contractors worked with my schedule and they left my house clean and with all furniture back in place.Empire provided a "One Stop Shopping" experience: dustless tile removal, porcelain tile install, appliance move/disconnect/reconnect, new carpet/padding and updated/new baseboards all for one bundled price that beat any combination of separately scheduled contractors. This is the third time I have used Empire: once in Washington, once in Oregon and now in Arizona. Their services and products have exceeded my expectations all three times.I would especially like to thank Alfonso (Phoenix/Chandler, AZ), my sales rep, for his honesty, great communication and follow-up.I highly recommend Empire - you will be extremely happy with the whole experience and the finished product. read more

My husband and I are disabled. But when the sales man he promised the world. So of course we went with Empire. There licensed so I figured that they would be professional if any problems would come up. Wrong my husband called and they gave him the runaround. Not keeping the promised that was made on the sale. Saying to him they no longer do that service. Very saddened that a big company like this would do this to a family and a family that's disabled. read more

We used Empire three years ago because their price was competitive and the salesman did a great job making us feel confident in the product and the installation process. We had laminate installed in the entire house except for the bedrooms and master bath. Leading up to the install, we did our part to remove all the furniture and make sure things were easy for the installers. They showed up the first day and took out all of the old carpet and tile. Then things went sideways. From that point on, it was a guessing game if someone was going to show up and do any work or not. What was supposed to have been a 3 day job, turned into a week and a half. Keep in mind that we had to have our furniture out on the back patio until the work was actually done. We did get some money back for the delays we had. Fast forward to today, we wanted to replace the tile in our bathroom and replace the carpet in the main bedroom. Similarly, we did our part to prep for the bathroom tile to be installed on Monday and for the carpet to be installed the next day, Tuesday. I removed the bathroom vanity, since a new one was going in after the new flooring was installed. Monday morning I received the call that no one was coming to work on the bathroom floor but both the bathroom and bedroom install would happen Tuesday. Okay, no problem. Tuesday morning, I get another call that the installers will not be coming today either. But for sure Wednesday... For this to happen, not once, but twice, is inexcusable. Nothing has changed in the the years since we've used this company and the sad part is that there are notes on our account of our bad experience last time. Apparently, no additional priority was given to ensure we would have a better experience this time around. I can assure you, Empire, we will never use your services again. If it means using someone twice as expensive, so be it. Update: I canceled my order and am in the process of getting a refund. They are not reliable enough for my business. Looking elsewhere in yelp for a more reliable flooring company to give my money to. read more

Let the buyer beware! No longer my choice of a business I could recommend. Installation however was top notch.

Everything about this experience was awful. Kept being delayed, didn't have the "good " crew, then only had remnants, then tried to reschedule for days we told them upfront we were out of town. When we finally had enough and cancelled they tried to charge us over a thousand dollars for a cancellation fee. Even though they were the ones who kept canceling one us. So done with this outfit. Wish I'd checked yelp and seen how bad their reviews were before I went with them in the first place. read more

High end price - for bargain basement quality. Empire Very clearly cares zero for delivering a quality product, despite charging the same (or more) as the local "mom and pop" places. Unfortunately, we didn't figure this out until after we invested $8000 in a terrible installation. The person who came out to measure and hard sell us, was NOT a carpet person. He was a realtor, who made sure to push this is his actual job and emphasized that he just does this on the side. Fast talker, he assured us of competitive price and commitment to quality. BUT! Beware the person who needs you to commit right then and there, before you can shop around. Because they could install on the timeframe we needed, we shrugged and went for it... with the promise that the install would happen on the schedule we needed. The day of install comes, and we had taken off of work to be there... after no call, no show, we call the office. We get passed around to a couple of people, before finally getting a call back that the truck with the carpet on it had broken down. More calls to figure out when it would be rescheduled to... only to have them no show again. Another day lost from work. Third time rescheduled we finally get someone to show... and they estimate it will only take them two days. At the END of the second day, the install crew says they have no idea how to install carpet on the stairs. You waited until the end of the second day to realize that? At the end of the day, they say they need to call their supervisor. He comes, scratches his head a bit. Installs a stair poorly, and then heads out - with exposed nails where our kids have to walk until whenever they come back (undetermined). Multiple calls to corporate office, local team, anyone who would actually answer the phone, we finally get ahold of someone who commits to sending a different installer out to finish the stairs and (attempt to) fix the terrible install job of the other guys. A full week after we were promised the job would be done, they finally finished. And it sucks. You can see seams everywhere. The edges come up. My husband tried multiple times to try to call corporate about the terrible work that was done, share our experience. After over a week with no calls returned - they basically answered back with a "we got your money, we don't care how bad a job it is". Shop around, and make sure that whoever you go with for your flooring actually employs the people you work with - the salesperson, the installers... when everything is subcontracted, there's no communication, no accountability, no oversight, no assurance of quality. Huge waste of money, full of regret every time I step on a nail, look at ALL the seams, and see seams coming up. read more

I had a past wonderful experience despite the bad reviews so I decided to use them again even when I had the same price from a competitor. I signed the contract today and they even ran my credit with a hard ding to it. I tore out my bathroom sink to prep for this. After Michael the rep left...they said no to my contract and I had to prove the competitor price was the same. They also "remeasured" today and suddenly the square footage was more and the price was higher? hmmmm um no. Same house. They said we will tear up the contract and write a new one. What? Tear it up because you do not like it? I was so confused. They will not honor it athough it is a binding contract. I so wanted to like them again. The reviews speak for themselves. Lots of competition out there...go elsewhere. This was shady to say the least. Look at all reviews before making your decision. Something must be wrong here with such bad reviews. read more

We had a really bad experience with Empire. The quoting was fine, but they refused to give us anything in writing. We probably asked for a quote 5 times and several times got told to just pay the deposit then they can write everything up for us. The guy who came out even said at one point "you should just put the deposit down I wouldn't wait to get the quote in writing". Even when we agreed to go forward, they said they "couldn't" write the contract up until we put the deposit down. Like what? We were in a hurry so we caved and put the deposit down and they promptly sent over the contract. We didn't like what was in the contract so we said we would not sign and we wanted a refund. This is where it got really bad. We were told so many different things by so many different people about why they couldn't refund us the money and every person went on and on about why we should just go with them. At one point a lady said to just sign the contract so they can process our refund. Again . . . whaaattt??? We ended up submitting a claim through the BBB and received the refund within an hour. Why does it have to come to that for you to simply process a refund. Long story short this company is shady. They contract work out to whoever will put in the cheapest bid and they try to pressure you into making quick decisions. The only thing they do is the quotes and "customer service" and they charge thousands extra for it. If you want quality, find a local company, (we went with Beck's flooring and it was great). read more

They took advantage of my elderly neighbors. They installed carpet and it immediately started coming up at all the seems around doors and at the walls. They called and a They came put to fix it, but it was still coming up. This went on for a year. I called and spoke to Frank Hernandez and he said he would send the installers back out. A young guy came, looked around and said he would get his crew back out the next day. The next day he had one guy and his child who showed up. He worked hard but there was no way he could get the house done. I again called Frank and he said they would be out the next week and to send him an email to remind him end of week. I sent him the email and the people did not show up. I emailed Frank 3 days in a row saying they didn't show up, he never responded. I waited a couple weeks and emailed again, and again nothing. I would be leaving of a company that takes advantage of elderly people. Now they are stuck with this horrible carpet that is coming up all over and aren't able to pay another company to fix what they paid the first company to do. I feel so sorry for them. Absolute worst experience. Replacing old tile flooring with lvp. Workers failed to do this, broke the baseboards, and workers left without replacing them. 4) caulking around toilets were supposed to be clear...they are white. 5) furniture was supposed to be put back and place cleaned up and neither was done. I had Empire flooring Company here in Phoenix install vinyl plank flooring in my home a little over 5 years ago.when the sales person came to give me an estimate he lauded the quality of the flooring and that it was guaranteed for life.Well life only lasted a little over a year and when I contacted Empire and told them the vinyl slats were lifting and separating at the seams they told me the installation warranty was for only one year and that it was over that time so any fixes of the problem would be at my expense.I expressed my disappointment and left it at that. Some time later the problem got worse and I got mad and called them again, send them pictures of the problem and they gave me some nonsense about my table and chairs were the problem making the slats split and peel down the edges and for them to further asses the problem it would cost me $150 for someone to come out and see first hand.I told them I`d spent enough on the original flooring and told them I`d rather have someone else to try and fix the problem. It`s been a while since I contacted them and have got nothing but the run around from the office manager Judith and BTW she was supposed to have someone call me but to date I`ve heard nothing from them.Very poor customer service...I have had two different professionals come and look at my floor and they used to be installers for Empire when I told them Empire did the original job they both laughed and stated that Empire used the cheapest installers and flooring products around and both told me that the problem was in the installation and the slats were installed too tight together and that`s why they were puckering and peeling down the edges.Long story short I replaced the entire room from a very professional guy who used very good quality flooring and did the job with great installers and at almost 1/3 the cost of the original job from Empire flooring Company...BUYER BEWARE when having them come for an estimate by their slick sales people.I should have shopped around and that`s on ME...I wish I found the current person before I had Empire do the original job.It would have saved me a lot of money and the quality upgrade of the current flooring compared to the crap that Empire used is astonishing!!..I do have to say the few people I did get to talk to over time were very nice to me and actually showed empathy for my situation, but that went nowhere to get the company to back up their installation and goods...The company is very big and the little guy like me writing this review doesn`t mean diddly to them in the overall picture but I will tell anyone who listens to me to NOT use Empire Flooring as to avoid these kinds of problems and I can recommend a great guy and his crew to anyone who wants it and is looking for a quality job done right the first time and much cheaper!!! read more

Avoid at all costs. They hire the absolute cheapest and irritatingly incompetent subcontractors to do their work and are extremely overpriced. I've been fighting for months now to get them to pay to replace drywall that their people damaged, and despite being told they would cover the $550 to repair with an actually drywall pro, they now refuse to send the check and are trying to tell me that the only remedy is to refund the card I used to pay... which has since been closed. Their answer is "well that's what we do, you'll have to chase the bank for your money". Absolute garbage service and poor quality work. Here we go!!! Met with the sales rep from Empire DJ for my elderly parents request. DJ is super nice sales guy. My parents needed to change carpet to vinyl flooring for easy walker/cart movement. DJ gave us the quote stating the only furniture that needs to be moved was the file cabinet. (Everything else is included) great blah blah 5-6 guys 5-6 hour install one day in and out. AWESOME ?! (One day install is on the commercial.) I get a call a week later from Daren/Derek saying we owe $300 to move furniture. I said "no, no DJ assured me we only need to move the file cabinet" I also said" if this a problem we are done and send me the deposit back" calls me back because he needed approval. We schedule install a few weeks out for October 31st... October 30th We moved the file cabinet out and chairs clear the closets take as much small items as we can out of the rooms as agreed upon so the house Is ready. Unfortunately my 85 year old elderly Dad has a major fall splitting his forehead spend the evening in the ER. October 31st 9am the installer shows up. First thing he wants payment. Fine but it was one installer named Luis. So 20 mins goes by we pay and he starts unloading the vinyl flooring boxes. Then he takes a toilet break... for 15+ mins he is on the crapper. He then begins to move the furniture out of each room, removes the carpet and calls it a day. I call Empire corporate and ask if they can send out more crew members to get this flooring down due to the fact my dad has an injury he needs to be resting and things are a mess and I don't want my mom falling. Corporates response was no each crew only has two members and they bring their helpers with them. Next day Luis and one worker comes at 8:30am starts to prep the floors and install flooring but then takes another toilet break for 15-20 mins. It took 3 days to install and they installed the baseboards wrong and could not figure out how to rehang the sliding closet doors. I had to call corporate and a solution was finally figured out on how to rehang the doors took 2 weeks to finish the job! They did refund us $150 for all the problems. Yesterday I spent 2 hours with a sales person. He called his manager regarding discounting the quoted price. She was on speaker phone. We agreed to a price of 800.00 (one room) and she further stated a 50% deposit which we agreed was 400.00 Well, when I went to pay, I was then told an additional 115.00 was needed. My salesperson called someone and they refused to adhere to the 400.00. Said that additional amount was necessary. So, I canceled the deal and wasted 2 hours of my time. Not good business if you ask me. You quote someone and then stick to the quote Bonnie read more

We put new tile and baseboards in the Living Room, Kitchen, and Den. The workmanship is horrible. It took them over a month to get someone to put the baseboard in and they left before finishing the job. Three weeks later and no one will return my calls or emails inquiring when they will finish the job. No one on the jobsite speaks English which makes things difficult when they need basic instructions, like which direction you want the tile to go. It's hard to believe how incompetent and unprofessional this company is. They are a real nightmare. read more

Empire Today - This is an example of their workmanship. The tile is just as bad, but hard to get a picture of it. - Carpet Installation Near Me

Stay far away from this company as possible. They do not stand behind their work past the warranty date. I had an area that was not installed correctly but was not noticed because of the location of the area. The customer service is beyond terrible. I will never use this company again. read more

No call no showed to take our estimate. Got a window for 4-6pm. Only got automated reminders, never an actual person. We arrived at 3:45, and at 5:55 I called their customer service to ask where they were. They told me that they were at the house at 4:00 and no one was home. We sat in an empty house with 2 kids and no internet for over 2 hours, and no one was ever going to come. No call, no text, no email, and pure lies. read more

I never got past the consult with this company and after reading these other reviews glad I went with my gut. We scheduled a consult and wanted to get an idea of what it would cost to replace our flooring so I scheduled a consult and was very close after 5 minutes of throwing the aggressive sales person out of our house. I've been in sales my whole life and the guy that came out was pushy, rude and kept trying to use basic high pressure sales tactics to make us sign today. After a few minutes and telling him about 5 times I was not going to make a decision on the spot he got rude and said when he leaves we wouldn't get as good of an offer ever, I did my best not to laugh as I told him that was fine snd still wasn't going to pressure me into making an on the spot decision. read more

They said they would be in touch, - its been 12 days. Nothing. Absolutely no answer from them and their warranty. I absolutely cannot recommend them for literally anything, - they even got my billing all screwed up. The product is gross and defective, - expensive and took a week to complete. No one responds. read more

Please do your research before you go with this company as we did not. We have issues with the installation upstairs and they came out to look at it but said its past the 1 year mark so we will have to pay for it. I mean, honestly with how much you charge I feel like you should want a good referral to friends and family. They are fast to sell you on the product but do not back up the install after a year. The flooring planks didnt start pulling apart until right after the year was up but in 4 different spots is excessive. They asked what we used to mop our floors with which is funny because we are hardly upstairs and honestly never mopped it yet. read more

They work hard to get your order and installation then disappear if you want to talk to someone post-installation Upfront service: superb Work of technicians: great Follow up attention: LESS THAN ZERO We wanted to get our two of our recently installed carpets stretched.....CRICKETS. No one to talk to, no return calls. This company is pathetic. Avoid at all costs! read more

So many people have had bad experiences with this company and warned us away from doing business with Empire. I had a bad experience with the sales person they sent me years ago in Laveen. But, I decided that it wouldn't be a waste of time to get a quote seeing as the other big box stores were outrageous and confusing. However, the salesman who quoted us knew his product, measured correctly, and we received a great price. Empire scheduled us in a timely fashion and also moved us out a week when we needed to. The two installers who did the work were conscientious, neat, good communication, professional and did an all around great job. They removed and then replaced the wood work, dug up the tile in the kitchen and two bathrooms, moved the furniture we couldn't handle, worked with which rooms we needed finished first. We couldn't be happier with the result. If you get our Maricopa sales person and our two installers, you will be very happy. read more
