We needed to re-carpet our home we've been in for 12 years when we moved in, but never did so finally getting to get new carpet was such a blessing. But my suggestion for any person needing flooring do it before you've moved in because it was a lot of work even with paying for movers through J&B. Vicki was incredibly personable and easy to talk to because our house is small and we only had a couple rooms to carpet. We chose the wool carpet and now I'm in love and don't know what to do about ever moving into another home than not having wool carpet! Worth every penny! My nephew recently moved out of my mother's house after living there with her for 10 years. He moved in at age 17 and unsurprisingly the carpet in his room was ruined. Mom is 87 and she asked me to find her someone to replace the carpet. She lives in Phoenix but I live in Virginia so I had to rely on online reviews. I chose J & B Carpets as my first choice based on their location and reviews. The first thing I did though was check to see if they could accommodate a quick turnaround time. Mom had already mostly emptied the room and wanted to move things back into the room for us to come visit. Again she is 87. I did not want her to have to do this twice and it was obvious she was stressed. I spoke with Vikki from J & B Carpets and she assured me that they could do the job within a couple days of placing an order. My mother visited J & B Carpets on a Friday afternoon and selected an in stock carpet. The room was measured on Saturday morning. They installed the carpet on Monday!!!! Mom is thrilled with the carpet! Her granddaughter who is now staying there assures me the carpet is soft, well-padded and beautiful. The price was very reasonable and the customer service is excellent. I am so happy I sent my mom there and not to some big box store where she would be just another number. I couldn't be more thrilled with the cream colored Berber carpet we had installed 2 years ago. We had it installed in all of our bedrooms and it's all held up incredibly well (still looks brand new) but I'm most shocked and surprised in how well it's held up in our busy toddler's room. From the moment it was installed, it has seen a lot of activity, from lots of playtime to the inevitable spills and messes. I followed Vicky's cleaning recommendations and this carpet still looks as pristine as the day it was installed! As soon as we contacted this company, their professionalism and attention to detail was evident. We felt very confident moving forward. Vicky was very knowledgeable and really listened to what we were looking for. She took the time to educate us on proper care of the carpet (which is super easy and quick) and was available for any questions that popped up along the way. We ultimately choose the cream colored Berber carpet (against our friends and family's advice because, come on...a toddler and light colored carpets is generally not a good combo) but here we are, 2 years later with brand new looking carpets. This review is long overdue. Over the last several years, we have had such noteworthy experiences with using J&B Carpets. We came across J&B Carpets after a miserable experience using Home Depot. We often need carpets for several of our rental properties and ever since stumbling upon J&B, we have never considered going anywhere else. They have an incredible selection of carpets and remnants to choose from. In addition to the selection of carpet, it is always really nice to interact with the owner, Vikki. I was on an incredibly tight timeline to get carpet replaced in a rental condo with new tenants coming in 2 weeks. I saw all of the positive J&B Carpet reviews and texted Vikki on a Monday night ask if she could help me. She said she could and I met her the next day at 10am. By noon that day, she had come to the condo and measured my space and helped me select a good carpet for the area. But there was a problem- my cleaning team wasn't scheduled to come until just before the new tenants were moving in and we needed the condo cleaned before she could install. Vikki had a solution to that too and put me into contact with a cleaning person she uses. She got that condo clean on the same day that I first met with Vikki! Vikki had installation done in less than 48 hours and on the 4th of July no less! The carpets are gorgeous, the process was seamless and the price was very fair. I cannot overstate how thankful I am for Vikki and her team coming to my rescue! She really went the extra mile to help me and make it work even though it she had to move some things around and go the extra mile to make it happen. Recently bought a new home and the carpets were....undescribably nasty. I initially did a Home Depot quote and was told it'd be at least three weeks until they could do the job. I wasn't going to keep the old carpet in the house a minute longer than necessary. My wife mentioned a coworker and her went to a carpet place on 7th street and we could see what their timeline was. Well...we never found where my wife went with her coworker (I'm assuming it was 7th avenue as she has directional issues). Google / Yelp showed we were close to J&B Carpets so we decided to swing in and see if they could assist. Immediately we were greeted by a crazy Greek lady who gave my daughter chocolates and static water (flavored carbonated water). We discussed carpet, I found one in the "in stock" bowl that I liked and was told that they could come on Tuesday (it was a Friday or Saturday we stopped in). Tuesday, I was at work, the installer did his thing and the carpet was replaced. It looked great, was installed quickly and professionally, and has been wonderful. I would highly recommend J&B Carpets, if for no other reason than to meet the owners. Honestly it felt like working with family...dysfunctional and everyone is insane, but totally worth it. Let me start by saying the hype is real with J & B Carpets. We were expecting our first child and wanted to make some much needed updates to the home - the biggest of which was carpet. I'd made a couple of inquiries here based on reviews and felt like I'd narrowed it down to two - another place that I won't name and J&B Carpet. Long story short the other place set an appointment with me and never even showed up or bothered to call me again so that was a big red flag. However, that was not the case with J&B - I got a super fast response from Vikki and was invited to drop by the showroom to take a look around. When we arrived we received the warmest greeting and after we laid out our situation she was able to quickly make some recommendations based on color and our budget. They have a great selection and their prices were very fair so after we got our other projects done it was a no brainer. The install crew that came knew what they were doing and immediately got to work once they arrived. I work from home so it was good to get the heads up on when they were coming and honestly it was as quiet as you'd expect something like this to be. As you can see communication is key for me so trust me when I tell you they are on it. Vikki was always a text or call away and made the whole process painless. Vikki & her mom are a-maaazing! Customer service like the good old days. My son and I came in on a Saturday afternoon with no idea what I wanted. I knew I hated what we had (gross carpet) and what we had to work around-- saltillo everywhere else. Vikki listened to our needs (neutral, durable, pet/family-proof) and general budget and then showed us a handful of samples. Maybe other people love to look through all 300 choices, and I'm sure she would have been happy to oblige, but I loved the way she was able to grab a few things that sounded right and start there. We did some like it-don't like it and then got a written quote to take home. It ended up being less than the local big box and there was less-than-zero pressure. When I tried to schedule with one of the 1-800 places they wouldn't even come out to talk to me if my husband wasn't home (i.e. both "decision-makers"). She brought the sample finalists to our house for the final measurements and official choices. Scheduling was easy, laminate was installed within a week and the carpet just after that. In both cases, the installers were on-time, professional, wore masks while working, and finished within a day. Vikki came out herself for the final inspection on both jobs to ensure we were satisfied. She also threw in a custom rug that I got to choose from their big remnants stack. But the real reason I'll recommend them forever is when I texted Vikki on a Sunday morning ONE week after our final carpet installation. Above-mentioned son had a bad run in with drive-in movies, Red Vines, and Strawberry Fanta. Despite not being a business day, she called me back right away and talked me off the ledge. We worked with Vikki after we moved into our new home and decided we wanted to replace all our carpeting with vinyl, tile or laminate. We didn't know the pros or cons of each option, nor did we know what color might go well with our existing walkway tile. Vikki was genuinely interested in our best interests, asking for photos of our home, and she helped us find the right product for our needs. She saved us from making a bad decision we almost made where we were about to mix two clashing styles of tile with one another. In the end, we wound up going with wood laminate, and her team of installers got the job done in about 4 days for about 1500 sq. ft. of flooring. We had one room that was particularly tricky because it has a Murphy bed/desk combo and they had to work around it and cut the laminate so it would be flush around it. The important thing is what happens after the installation is done. We found that Vikki stands by her work. Some of the wood laminate had more bounce to it than we expected in the office and the living room. Some of this is just the nature of a "floating floor" like wood laminate, some if it is due to imperfections in the foundation, but Vikki stands by her work and she had her team come back to our place very quickly to address our concerns to our satisfaction. Below is my longer story if you care to see more details: I was looking for a remnant and had been to several other carpet stores. One store, after being there for 30 min and selecting the remnant, literally told me when I got to the register because it was after 3:00pm they couldn't sell it to me. He wanted me to come back the next day. Pretty confusing since the store closed at 5:00pm and even when I explained to him I live 40 miles from the store - have you seen the price of gas? His answer was, "I live just as far and I drive to work everyday" No thank you, I think I'll find a different carpet store to take my business. I stumbled on J&B Carpets after a random internet search. I cannot speak highly enough about this store, even though I only needed an inexpensive remnant the service and help they gave me was above and beyond and I found the perfect remnant for my project. I would highly recommend using J&B -- if this is how they helped me with a very small job, I think it speaks highly for how they treat all their customers.
