I recently had the carpet and pad ripped up in one bedroom for a plumbing repair under the house. The carpet was cut by the plumber so it wasn't especially smooth or straight. VCR reseamed the carpet flawlessly! It looks amazing and you can't see where the cut was done. They also added pad to a couple warn areas, put the closet door back in place and vacummed the stray carpet fibers before leaving. Additionally VCR didn't give a half day window of when they might show up like many companies do. They said they would be at my house at 11:30 and the job would take about an hour. They arrived a few minutes early and finished on time. Pricing was lower or similar to quotes the insurance company quoted. I will definitely recommend VCR in the future. read more

I would very much recommend VCR (Valley Carpet Repair and Cleaning). We had Hector. He was prompt, polite and did a good job re-stretching our carpet. We purchased a home in Scottsdale that had carpet that bubbled up. We had one carpet stretcher out and it bubbled up again. When looking for carpet stretchers many are very picky about moving furniture that is too big for lay people to move. Hector had "sliders" that he used and was happy to move large furniture or work around these. Also, he used a power stretcher rather than a "knee-kick device". I found a carpet company through Yelp who came and stretched, repaired, and cleaned the carpet in three rooms of my house, for just under $500. Hector, with Valley Carpet Repair (602) 730-1042 Hector and his assistant arrived ten minutes early, and offered to wait outside if I wasn't ready yet. They were friendly and professional at all times. My house is from 1945, so nothing is ever simple, and Hector was good at problem-solving the unusual difficulties, like the various floor surfaces accumulating over the years not being quite level. I needed the carpet patched in a couple places where a built-in cupboard had been removed, so there was no carpet there. I supplied the carpet, VCR supplied the padding and whatever else they needed. They did a good job of it. All three rooms needed to be stretched, there were large ripples running across every room of the house. (I'm doing them a few at a time, shuffling the furniture around.) An interior wall had just been put in, and it had been installed over the carpet, not cutting the carpet around it, so VCR had to cut the carpet and do extra work putting in the tack strips to make it work. No complaints or charge for the extra complexity of the job. After stretching, they shampooed the carpets in the three rooms, and left the few pieces of furniture I hadn't been able to move out standing up on foam blocks or plastic protectors, while the carpet dried. I'd had a different company stretch three other rooms about a month ago, and while they did a good job for a good price, they didn't do the cleaning, so I had to get a different company on a different day to come out to do that. VCR does all of it in one visit, which is lots better for me. When I'm ready to stretch and clean the last three rooms of my house, I'll be using Valley Carpet Repair again! read more
