I had a very positive experience working with this flooring company. From the initial consultation to the final installation, communication was clear and expectations were met. They took the time to explain options, pricing, and timelines upfront, which made the decision process easy and stress-free. The installation team was punctual, professional, and detail-oriented. The work was completed as promised, the quality of the flooring looks great, and the space was left clean afterward. Any questions I had were addressed promptly and professionally. Overall, this was a smooth experience with no surprises. I would feel comfortable recommending them to others looking for reliable flooring work. read more

Stay away from this place. Rude owner! She called me a coconut because I don't speak Spanish, what the heck! Then she was talking to someone on the phone and later referred them using the b* word. I'll take my business elsewhere! read more

Came by a bit past noon on a Saturday and tried to open the door only to find locked. Eventually I spotted a sign at the bottom of the door (which had half-slipped into the door frame) saying they'd gone out to pick up lunch and would be back "in a bit." No indication of when they left or thought they'd be back, so I wasn't sure whether i should stick around or not. That crap would be silly even on a weekday. But on Saturday? When they're only open til 3 and are closed the next day? C'mon! Brown bag it for god sake and be around for your would-be customers! I decided to wait -- was about 15 minutes -- and when the employee came back, all she said was hello. Didn't apologize for having been closed or even acknowledge it. Then she walked straight to the back of the store -- didn't ask if I needed any help. I had to call her over because some of the tiles weren't marked. And after all this, their prices weren't any better than any of the other ones I've seen at obvious other tile stores I've been to. They were actually a bit higher. What a waste of time! read more

AZ Discount Flooring - I tried the door three times before finally spotting this sign. - Flooring Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

This is a very busy business so expect to wait a bit. Marie the owner went out of her way to find me a very specific tile I wanted. Since it was a discontinued product she called all over the country to find anybody that still had it in stock and succeeded. She gave me a great price. Her brother Henry was so helpful and kind and very hard working in delivering 88 boxes to my condo. They have a large array of products from all kinds flooring to many kinds of granite quart slabs and many tile products for bathrooms etc. read more

Didn't finish the job - still waiting for discount refund. Ben was very attentive at first, created a good first impression. From there, the whole experience went downhill. The flooring arrived separately with no advance warning. The crew that installs the flooring do not speak English so we had difficulty communicating expectations. The project was delayed several days beyond deadline we had agreed on. Still, more than 6 weeks after they finished the job, I'm having to follow up on a discount refund because they never came back and fixed all the paint and gap issues during initial installation. I was told they're too busy to come back and wrap up the project (paint + grout/silicone for gaps). So now I have to hire another contractor to do all the touch up. Disappointing and frustrating to have to follow up repeatedly. The only reason they don't get a 1 star is that they did lay the floor and the overall quality of that is good. They just didn't follow through and for that reason I wouldn't recommend. read more

This is probably the best kept flooring secret in the Phoenix metro area. I was in desperate need of some carpet in my place, two bedrooms at roughly 350 total square feet. I had a few of the large flooring companies who come to you, come out to give me quotes and the best price I could find was in the thousands of dollars. I'm not a mathemagician, but $4000 for 350 square feet puts their carpet over $12 per square foot. I knew there was something better out there. Home Depot has prices at $2-4 per square foot and wants to hit you with minimums, install fees and extra costs on padding, carpet removal, etc. I found AZ discount flooring and called to ask about prices, Marie answered and said they beat Home Depot all day and twice on Sunday. With a personality like that, I had to Visit the show room. Marie showed me a few samples of carpet they had in stock. All prices were quoted with padding and installed. There was no beating around the bush, it was straight talk, dollars and cents, padding, install, carpet takeaway was all in the price she gave me. I gave her my measurements, paid my bill and my carpet was installed 2 days later as scheduled. I was scheduled for 10:30 AM install, they arrived about 11 with the carpet I picked out. The install looks great, all the corners line up and are tucked in well. I'd come here again, and I probably will the next time I'm looking for flooring. They're some of the best prices installed in Phoenix. Happy Yelping Phoenix! read more

Drove all the way over there during traffic hour and walked in. Nothing on the door to alert people a customer was there. Some lady was in a high-walled cubicle way in the back of the store (I could hear her talking) but no salespeople around. I walked the whole store for 10 minutes or more and nobody ever came up to greet me. The store layout was OK but all they had was pricing on items using sticky notes. Most items were not laid out in a way so that you could see things that were in the back of the stack. After 10 minutes of drifting around aimlessly I left. Why bother even unlocking the front door if you're not going to have someone watching for customers to come in? I shouldn't have to shout out for help in a store that's only a one-room showroom. read more

Ben and his team are some of the best in terms of quality and value. He came out quick and gave a competitive bid. Work was delayed due to shipping but it was completely appropriately. We had some water damage and Ben's team addressed the issue. They even bought back my extra baseboard. I highly recommended this company for LVP. read more

Not sure how this company is in business. Completely unresponsive owner. No apparent interest in actually selling or installing anything. I initially went into the store to look at samples, having been sent there by a friend who is a builder and has worked with them. The owner shrugged off my friend's name like she didn't know him and said "I work with a lot of builders." She seemed not all that interested in doing my job but did give me an estimate and tried to upsell me on other items. The next week, she told me, she would be out of town but would stay on top of work issues. Right. Multiple texts and emails got no response and to this day I never got an updated quote. She runs this company like it's a hobby she is bored with. I went to Floor and Decor, bought the product I needed and scheduled an independent installer. Total price $1700 less than her quote. Go somewhere else and don't waste your time on this place. read more

Word of caution!!! Don't do business with this company! It has been nothing short of a nightmare dealing with Marie. After she gets your deposit she won't take calls or texts. I have been waiting over 2 months with a ripped out floor and still can't get her to finish the job she promised to do. She told me she has had the flooring in stock for over a month but when I finally do get ahold of her it is always excuses. The quality of work is also so horrible. My new vinyl floor feels like I am walking on waves. This is after paying an extra 400 dollar floor prep fee. read more

Marie did give us a great deal on really nice carpet. Discounted carpet means not as great of service. The first day, 30 min after the time they were supposed to get to the house. I called and was told they were getting ready to leave. They were a total of 1.5 hours late making arrival at 1130. They still took a 45min break as well. I then had to get up and be at the house at 630 the next day for them to do about an hour's worth of work. They were 15min late again after making me wake up early just to meet them. They could have finish in one day if they weren't so late. Bottom line: if your schedule is flexible and time isn't worth much then use them. read more

Great place! I was looking for affordable carpet and they had tons of options. I knew I wasn't leaving there empty handed. I told the manager what I wanted and she gave me a small roll (enough for the area I was surfacing) for free! Absolutely free! She was so nice and I'm still in shock that she did that for me. The next area in my house that I redo I will definitely be going back there. The customer service is unbeatable. read more

Short Story: Selection in store for tile, carpet and laminate is great. No samples, but they are good about letting you take photos. the measuring and install team is a joke and doesn't show up. Long Story: We were really excited about a carpet we found for our new home, and told Maria the pretty tight timeline we were looking at for install. She ensured us it could be done and told us they would come at 9 am the next day to measure. The next day, no one showed up. When I called at 12 and 4 I was told the guy was 'on his way'. I finally had to leave at 7 pm, and at 8:30 pm I got a call from a guy saying he was there. Maria called the next day all apologies, and I told her I would be at the house in the evening from 5-7, but I had to leave AT 7. She assured me someone would be there right at 5. Again, no one showed. The next morning I got a call from a guy asking when he could come measure, and I told him we would not be using them. Now we are on an even tighter timeline and have to find a new carpet. read more

Don't waste your time with Home Depot or Lowe's when you are looking into flooring. I made that mistake and wasted a week of my life and was blown away with how high my quote was. I can't say enough about the service and care that Arizona Discount Flooring (Marie) showed to my entire project. * Demolition of existing tile and carpet * Demolition and installation of "New" baseboards (last minute decision) * Over 1700 square foot of wood plank tile First off, we showed up in the showroom very indecisive and Marie spent over an hour helping us comb through the many tile options. Unfortunately, we couldn't settle on a color/style that we love so we left but would return later in the month. When we returned we found our tile (again after about an hour or so) - Marie again spent that time with us as if we were the only ones in the store. Second, our house was finally complete and we were ready for demolition. The team showed up on time and started work immediately. The guys understood that we were living in the house and would be in and out of their work space. They were very professional, clean, and showed up every day on time. After the demolition was done (Friday 12/30) we decided that 5" baseboard would look so much better than the 2.5" ones installed by the builder. However, we had the tile installers coming on Tuesday (01/02). Sooo.. we called Marie and explained our last-minute decision. She asked us to come down and pick out the baseboards we wanted and she would try to make it work. We did and she did!! She made calls while we were in the store and explained to her installer that we needed to get this done before the tile team showed up. Like clockwork, her team showed up on 12/31 to demo the existing baseboards and again at 9am on 01/01 to install the new. Unbelievable!!! We were finally ready for the tile. And again, the guys showed up on time and ready to work. They came in asked about our pattern preference, verified the job and started right-away. Their work ethic was amazing. They were presentable, respectful, and overall professional. I often left them unattended without any worries. (That's a BIG deal for me) Needless to say, I writing this because I was blown-away by the professionalism of Marie and everyone associated with Arizona Discount Flooring. The hardest part of contracting folks to do this type of work is trusting the person, and having your ideas and goals will materialize without stress, heartache and added cost. Thank you Arizona Discount Flooring for being a big part of making our house a home. read more

the owner was not present, her son was not able to do a simple tile price or start and order without his Mommy! Sonnyboy is easily in his 30's! There was a political sign on the office wall. So I used them a second time and still the frustrating scheduling issues. The measurement appointment was an hour and a half late, and the installation (when we had moved all the furniture out of our bedroom already) was an entire day late. We were told that someone there should have notified us that the carpet was not delivered on time and installation was moved back a day, but we weren't. We only found out after we called 2 hours after the installers didn't show. Their service and scheduling is terrible, they're getting 3 stars because we got 360 square feet of carpet installed for $600 read more

Place is in the ghetto so make sure you head on over there when the suns out. The good part about it being in ghetto is the low over head (well I'm assuming rent is cheaper) and the ability to bring down tile prices on some decent choices. Customer service was okay but they wouldn't really budge on price for a tile we liked so we ended up purchasing else where. read more

We have almost finished a remodel job on a 2 bed condo in Scottsdale that we started back in November, 2014...(we're still trying to get Marie's tile installer to return and complete the job). Since we reside in Denver, Marie told us that she could coordinate the various folks to get it remodeled. Not only did that not happen, but getting Marie to answer a text, email or phone call was nearly impossible. She is VERY over-extended. Without going through all the detail suffice to say that it would have have been worth it to get someone else who was responsive and customer oriented. We found that Marie is not willing to take responsibility for workmen she hired on our behalf to install. Marie is personable but NOT detail or customer service oriented! BEWARE read more

So if you are high maintenance and need all that attention and hand holding, go somewhere expensive and pay for it. Otherwise, this place is quite the find. A hole in the wall location that has contractors going in and out for the best selection and prices in Phoenix. (They should know where to go!) I was amazed at the prices, the selection, and the quality of the products. So here is the deal; I found beautiful porcelain wood tile like I could not find elsewhere - at almost half the price - and I had been shopping. (From Italy no less!) But really, all the tiles there are amazingly priced way below anything else I could find. And the selection was endless. So this is not a beautiful store with everything laid out so fine. You need to go through it and do your legwork. But rest assured - it is worth it. I saved a lot of money for an upscale look. AND they delivered it on a Sat! And now for the installation. I had my own installer tentatively picked out. But when I casually informed the owner, Marie, my installer price tag, she easily beat it. I hesitated - did I dare go with an unknown? Well, I gave it a go and did not regret it when the work was done. I only had one installer, so good thing time was not a factor. But honestly, he was a craftsman with good work ethic, did a great job and cleaned up after himself when it was done. So all good here! read more

Stay away from this place! Did not show up at scheduled times for scheduled appointments. When they did arrive Marie sent 2 inexperienced young workers to install my tile (one had to be shown how to grout my floors) ....and now the grout lines are cracking and look terrible. The guys sent out to do the repairs to the grout told me it was installed wrong but only filled in the cracks with their fingers and told me this was the proper way to repair the cracking grout. Needless to say, my grout is cracking again! :( What a headache dealing with their office staff too. Do yourself a favor and hire a reputable company! read more

This place is a joke. They post great prices on Craigslist but thats where it ends. Ive called/emailed their Mesa location 4 times over the past 7 days. No return call or email. I then called their Scottsdale location and he couldnt explain Mesa. But he took my info and was going to call me back shortly to set up an appt to come by with samples and to measure. Two days go by, no call back. I called back again and he said ""well how much carpet do you need" Apparently because I only want one room done, I am unimportant. I just finished an extensive remodel of our house. AZ Discount Flooring did all the tile and shower demo and then they also installed a new tile shower, tub wall, tile floors, bathroom & kitchen backsplash, carpet in bedrooms, and wooden baseboards throughout the house. They also cleaned and sealed all the tile afterward. It turned out beautifully. I am extremely happy with the final product. Pros: AZ Discount Flooring had the very lowest priced travertine I could find ANYWHERE. I did extensive research and their price ($1.99/sq ft for 24X24 travertine) could not be beat. Their install price at $2/sq ft and $1/sq ft to clean and seal was also quite reasonable. I had three different installers quote me anywhere from $3/sq ft all the way to $8/sq ft to install travertine. The quality of the materials is excellent. I absolutely love my floor tiles. They are beautiful. The glass tile and backsplash materials and the wooden baseboards are also very nice. The quality of work performed was also good. My floors are all even and the grout lines are 1/16 and look fabulous. At the end of the project we had a surplus of tile and the owner, Marie, took the surplus and gave us a refund--keeping us below budget. Cons: The store seems to do alot of business with contractors and sub-contractors. Because of this, it is difficult for a layperson (like myself) to schedule and communicate plans. Do some research on what you want before you go in and make sure you are prepared with your measurements and exact list of what you want. Different crews do each part of the job. I had a different crew for my demo, tiling, carpeting and baseboards. This can be confusing as some parts of the job (like who re-installs the toilets or who demos the baseboards) could be performed by many of the crews. Make sure you nail down all of these details to avoid confusion. The project took about 2 weeks longer to complete than originally intended. This was mostly due to a 1-2 person tile crew. They did an excellent job but probably needed more help. Bottom line is that you get wonderful quality for a very low price. The trade-off is that you have to be the one who is on top of the project and be organized because this place is crazy busy. If you are looking for alot of hand holding and quick return calls, this is not your place. If you are looking for the best deal possible and you are patient and willing to do some work--contact AZ Discount Flooring. read more

Bottom Line: They have great prices for materials, but their installers suck. Buy your flooring here, but have someone else install it.

This place is amazing; selection, prices, and customer service. Selection; this place has a lot more tile colors, finishes, and types to choose from compared to ANYWHERE in Scottsdale. Price; tile here is 1/3!!! (Yes folks, one-third) the cost of both Arizona Tile or The Tile Shop. Those places are $4.99-5.99 sq ft. At AZ Discount Flooring most tiles we liked were $1.59-1.99. Customer Service; here is where they earned a 6th-Star. I bought 1500 sq ft of tile, had about 200 sq ft installed and then my wife and I didn't like it, totally didn't match our home like we thought it would. We hated it actually. We didn't know what to do. We called Marie and she worked with us to return our unused tile and purchase new tile. Marie is the BEST! I highly, highly recommend this place to everyone. read more

My husband and I decided to go with Arizona discount flooring after the price that was initially quoted and the reviews some people have left. We were having our entire house tiled. Everything was great up until delivery. We were told our job would take 4 days to complete. We moved everything out of our house and into the garage and onto the patio for those 4 days. Delivery was to take place on Thursday and installation on Friday. The delivery did not take place on Friday and we had taken that day off to allow access and move things around. Long story short and hop skip and a jump later the delivery took place and hour and half late the following morning on installation day. Then the installers did not show up! I called and they said they were picking up materials and would be there shortly, they never came and said multiple time they would send another crew out, 2 other crews! At 4:00 pm, a guy and his kid as a translator finally came to take measurements! No work done but promised he will be there first thing in the morning and work early and late to get the job done on time. 9 days later , I guess they can say the job was done. We had to leave out of town that weekend and when we came home they had just left. The food they left on the counter was still soft and warm. The grout they used was all over the walls and floor boards as well as used to fill in spots were they couldn't have been bothered to cut additional tile. Through the posses the office has called multiple times asking for the other half of the bill to be paid. Errors made in their office affected the quote which I had to pay 750 more. The best thing about this place was the tile was cheap. The service was terrible, the installation was poor and the mess they left behind was gross. Good prices on product, but install with your own installer. We bought 5,000 in carpet. We had seam issues in 2 rooms. I called them, after a number of calls, they sent their "installers" back. After pounding with a hammer, and kicking, it looked ok. But a few weeks later, not good. So we called a professional. It was installed incorrectly. It's fixed now in one room, after 290 in additional expense. The second room, because they took the remnants, may be up to 800. Products good, installation is horrible. I would not recommend these people because they cover for their installation. read more
