We decided to renovate our house, and the last step was our bathrooms. We went with a refresh or renewal instead of a full renovation for the two bathrooms. Previously, we used Superior Stone and Cabinet to replace the countertops in our kitchen and laundry room. This experience was extremely positive, and we were genuinely impressed by the quality of the countertops and the level of service provided. We started calling around. Other quotes were higher in price and did not align with the value offered. We considered seeking assistance from my handyman brother-in-law before looking into Superior Stone and Cabinet, recalling our previous visit to their showroom, where we viewed bathroom and kitchen remodels. We called, and oh my we are SO happy we did! From the price and quality of the new countertops to the tiling of the master shower to the communication and professionalism with Kelly to the team that came out and did our work was OUTSTANDING. Every single step and team member with Superior was exceptional. Their skill and dedication resulted in a finished product that surpassed our expectations. Another Yelp review mentioned that several companies appeared uninterested in accepting their project due to its small scale, which was our experience. We were looking for small remnants to use as a bench in our master bathroom and a small shelf in our bedroom. Most places we called seemed uninterested in our business because our project was so small but Superior Stone & Cabinet's customer service was extremely pleasant and helpful. We spoke with Kelly on the phone and she texted me photos of remnant colors that matched what we were looking for. We ended up driving into Phoenix to view the pieces in person and they were perfect. Went to make selections for a bath remodel, consultant Douglas Parry sent me to their wholesaler because they have more selections. I drove down, made my selections and let Douglas know by leaving a message. No return call. I called again the next day, he answered, telling why he didn't return my call. Superior Stone and Cabinet - Very pleased with my kitchen countertops! - Cabinetry Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

Our experience with Superior was poor. We had issues with every step that they performed - the design, measurement, cabinet installation, and counter/ backsplash installation. We were told our Kraftmaid custom cabinet installation for our 11x11 kitchen would be 2 and 1/2 days. It took 3 weeks for the initial installation. We never knew when the sub they hired would show up. He would often show up in the afternoon, work a few hours and then leave. There was an 8" gap (see photo) surrounding our garbage cabinet due to an issue with the measurement and design. Superior did replace it with a wider cabinet but it took 2 additional months (after the initial installation) to get the cabinet and have it installed. The design indicated our built in range/cooktop model however no oven cabinet or supplies to build one was ordered. When this was noticed (by us), Superior told the sub to build one for us out of scrap wood. The quartz countertop was cut incorrectly but installed anyway resulting in multiple seams (differing from contracted design) and a 1" gap at the end of the counter that they filled in with caulk. (see photo) There were pieces of quartz next to each other that differed in color to a very noticeable degree. The overhang on the right counter measured 2 1/4" and the overhang on the left counter measured 1 5/8". (see photos) The counter and backsplash had to be torn out and replaced. We were promised that the demo/reinstallation would occur the Tuesday of the following week. That changed twice which required us to move flights multiple times to allow my husband to be home for the reinstallation as well as further delaying use of our kitchen. I gave them 2 stars instead of one only because Superior followed through with correcting the mistakes made. However, the stress, extended lack of use of our kitchen, lack of any price reduction for the myriad of mistakes made, and lack of professionalism that we encountered made the experience a very poor one. I would not recommend Superior if you are looking for quality work on a timely basis. read more

Being new to the area, I was not familiar with any of the stone companies! But I was fortunate enough to find Superior Stone and Cabinet and working with them was great! After purchasing the stone that I liked for my kitchen counters, the lead installer, Jorge, came over and did a fantastic job of the installation. I am so happy with the new countertops. They took out the old countertops and installed the new countertops all in one day. The whole project was less than a week from beginning to end. Absolutely stunning is an understatement. My quest for the perfect kitchen remodel came to fruition with Superior Stone and Cabinet. What started out as an online inquiry has turned into one of my best decisions ever!! My salesman, Joseph, worked tirelessly and consistently to help me with my choices. They had the granite I was looking for IN STOCK, and I was even welcomed into their warehouse to pick my actual slabs. Once all the planning was complete, I watched as Superior made my dreams come true. EVERY SINGLE step of the remodel was done by the most attentive and experienced crews I have ever seen. The demo crew, Tim and his wife, gutted my kitchen, hauled the old stuff away and cleaned up the kitchen area (without trashing my house) beautifully. Then in came Matt. I never imagined 1 person could install all my new cabinets without any assistance. In 2 days, he hung all the cabinets, perfectly and precisely, incl crown molding, kick plates AND cabinet hardware! Fascinating how hard working and methodical he is. Once the cabinets were complete, in comes Jose and his 2 counterparts for the granite countertops. How they lift these is beyond me, but they were incredible to watch and work together like a well oiled machine. I have worked so hard and long for this remodel and I actually shed a few tears once the first slab was installed!! Dream makers, that's what these people really are. The seams are so perfect they are nearly non-existent. Once all the countertops and island granite are installed, they fine tune the surfaces with a level and an amazing machine that brings the ends together and ensures all is perfectly level using suction. Brilliant. After the backsplash's are in, the undermount sink is installed and everything is just so, the granite is cleaned and then sealed. What a treat it was to watch this crew make magic happen!! Superior Stone and Cabinet....making dreams come true!!! Tim will be coming back once more, to install our microwave and dishwasher, reconnect our RO system and garbage disposal, install our new kitchen faucet and turn our water back on. Don't use this place for your counter tops! We got counters from this place 3 years ago. When they first installed them, there was a noticeable difference in the color of the quartz between the piece by our sink and the piece next to it. They sent out a technician to look at it after they were installed and he pretty much told us well there's nothing we can do now. Then last year we noticed a crack in the corner of the counter. We reached out to the company and they said it's out of warranty (it only has a 2 year warranty) then they could replace it for us for almost the same cost we paid originally. So I guess their counter tops only last 3 years and then if it cracks it's your fault. They told us we put 100 lbs of pressure on the corner and that's probably what cracked it. We have never done that. So don't go with the place unless you want to replace your counter tops every 3 years. read more

We had a small project but big demands, and Superior Stone and Cabinet met these with ease. We needed a custom sized, custom-colored set of deep drawers with heavy duty glides to handle all of our storage, that would blend into our new entertainment area. Our salesperson Tanner recommended Oakcraft, a local manufacturer she said could satisfy all of these wishes. Looking to redo my kitchen countertops, I came across Superior Stone and Cabinet and designer Mark McClure. Mark was incredible to work with from the moment I walked through The doors at Superior Stone in every aspect of my countertop renovation. I started off by bringing some material and design ideas along with pictures and the basic dimensions of my existing kitchen cabinets and countertop to discuss what I was looking for in my remodel. Mark immediately took me into their back remnents areaa to show me what they already had as renants that could save me $$$$ and then give me names, addresses, and phone numbers of a two slab companies he likes to work with that are resonably pricedand have large selections from which I could lokk at different materials and variations in look from which to select from; my kitchen with anisland countertop required 2 slabs. After looking at both places I setteled on Quartzite, a natural stone similar but harder than Granite yet having the look more chaacteristic of Marble but far better for a kitchen than Marble. If you're not familiar with all of your options whether it's man-made or natural stone, Mark can certainly help to educate you on the differences, advantages, and disadvantages. Once I selected 2 specific serialized slabs, Mark went to work on procuring them and setting up their transfer to the stone cutter(s)/Installer, but not before coming out to my house formeasurements so he could create a cutting plan for the stone cutters so that each section of my countertop and full backsplash could best utilize each slab to creat seamless corners and joints with respect to the natural patters within the stone. Mark then selected, based on the countertop material, the right stone cutters he's worked with in the past who will do the best job. In my case this was critical since I selected quartzite which is very very difficult to cut and requires a bit more attention and special cutting tools then even granite. From there Mark took the role similar to a general contractor and arranged for both a template date where the stone cutters would come out and create templates and an install date. Each were two weeks apart which meant I was looking at a month. What was also great about working with Mark, was his guidance and recommendations on design aspects such as the corners and edges other countertop features based on the material and the look I wanted. Working with Mark was easy whichallowed me to interject some construction ideas when it came to designing around the existing electrical outlets and access holes in the backsplash as were the installers when I worked with them on extending out the electrical outlets 3/4" even with the new full height backsplash. The stone cutters and installers that Mark selected were also awesome and very easy to work with during both the template and install phase. They did an incredible job with tight fits and the final outcome of my countertops and backsplashs. Mark was very careful in ensuring that the stonecutters also followed his slab template to ensure they're both the countertop and backsplash is look like one entire piece with beans in the Stone aligning almost perfectly. And prior to installation, Mark personally came out 2 days prior to the install to assist me with the removal (demolition) of my existing countertops to help me save money. Once everything was installed, Mark came out for a final check to ensure everything was correctly done and to my satisfaction. This was so incredibly important as we found a few minor cosmetic blemishes that would bring the installers back out to close out and make the job complete and perfect. I can't imagine trying to do this by myself or without Mark. Having acted blindly without a general contractor trying to select and work with stone cutters who with no knowledge of who they were or the quality of their work was bothe risky and lead to some dissatisfaction of their work. I highly recommend Mark McClure and Superior Stone and Cabinet for your next countertop job. You'll be glad you did. He is totally chill, very reachable and responsive, and he knows his job very well. I definately will if I am renovating more of my home with countertops again. read more

We managed a full rebuild on our Tempe condo from across the country in PA. I worked with Hunter to set up a granite countertop install in 3 rooms during a short visit. We arrived at the shop the day we got to town and found their selection excellent and the process a well oiled machine. They were able to get our install completed within 6 days of our visit and it was done to perfection in a timely manner. Their prices were also $500 less than the bid by our general contractor. After getting a quote from a big box retailer for new kitchen cabinets which was outrageous, I stumbled upon Superior Stone and Cabinets. When I called, the woman who answered the phone was very professional. She advised that they sell the same brand of cabinets that we were looking at (Kraftmade), and she booked an appointment with Doug. Doug was incredible. He knows his job well, and is a great cabinet designer. He was very thorough, and even came to the house twice for measurements. He made the process very easy for us, and gained our trust very quickly. We added everything we wanted, thinking we would need to take away some things that would be nice to have once we got the quote. When the quote came back, it was half of the price quoted to us by a big box home improvement store. I was dumbfounded, and actually asked if we missed something. After our first visit, we decided to change a couple of items, and Doug made sure everything was as we wanted before submitting the order. Before ordering, he came out to make sure his measurements were correct and we placed the order. We ended up getting quartz counters that I didnt think would fit into the budget, so we didn't have to make any sacrifices for our dream kitchen. The removal of our current cabinets and installation prices were way too good to pass up. In the end, we got everything we wanted, and our final price was a little more than half of what Lowe's quoted us for just cabinets, not counters, demo or installation. Avoid at all cost they are terrible craftsman, the granite will not have any square edges in your house plus the sill install floor different material than what you order and do not care the owner Charles has no idea what a T- square are or straight edge or a laser is and all of your cabinet doors will be aligned at different angles none will match or close correctly wife had tried for 6 more nuts after install to get all issues resolved so I complained to the bbb and the refused any corrections saying work was done....done by blind fools that can't use a tape measure. Worst experience that I ever had with a company doing a remodel job. Prices are slightly higher than other local companies, quality of work was horrible. granite delivered unpolished, many of the cabinets had damage, workers were careless, salesman (Chris Sherman) became frustrated with the project and became very RUDE!, owner (Charles) was involved---promising the world, project took approx. 7 months til completion, demo staff damaged walls, new tile around master bath shower got chipped, dust and debris not cleaned up after installation and I feel like I was taken advantage of. Superior came out as promised for a quote. Then it was phone tag for three weeks trying to get my granite countertops installed. They kept on promising me that their contractors would call me. They never did no matter how many times I called. The last time I called Elliot said he would call me back that day... let's see that was five days ago! Well I went to Home Depot for a quote. My new sink will be delivered next week and the new granite countertops will be the week after. I would not recommend Superior Stone at all! Find another company you'll be happier. Really! We just had Superior Stone do our countertops and backsplash. They DO NOT stand behind their subcontractors. The granite was put in and then they had there tilers to do the backsplash. They were awful! They dropped tile on our new granite and chipped it in several spots and now they say they aren't going to stand behind there subcontractors. They want to charge us for there errors.
