Edit: Discount Granite decided to double down on their rudeness. Just read their response and decide if that's a company you want to deal with. They did not tell me to go see this slab in person, nor did they even send a photo of the material to me before they cut it. And how dare they take credit for Arizona Tile offering to replace the slab. I reached out to Arizona Tile and complained and they offered to contact Discount Granite to see what could be done and then Arizona Tile offered to make things right and replace the material. Kudos to them, but not Discount Granite. We actually told them Arizona Tile offered to replace the material and I heard CRICKETS from Discount Granite for over a week. April 30th I text them this and they waited until I followed up May 7th. AND THEN THEY JUST WANTED MONEY, not to try to give good service and make sure the customer was happy. See attached screenshots. Original post: I now have a terrible, ugly granite countertop which was not the tan/brown look I had requested from them. To top it off, these guys were rude, blamed it all on us, and took no accountability at all for their terrible communication. We went with David because he was straightforward and we liked him when we met him. He does pick up his phone when you call. Here's our story. Hired him to do the job. Negotiated price and got $600 discount which was in line with competitive quotes. We were given install dates and we asked the sink size and faucet size that would be appropriate for the bathrooms and kitchens. We ordered everything after double checking with him and then sending to his warehouse. Week of install dates. My fiancé responded to a text message from David 30 minutes after he texted and was told that we responded too late so the job would have to be the next week. Not a big deal. The install date comes and David had to move it up 24 hours due to another appointment. Not a big deal. Install happens. It's a mess. The faucets don't fit because the sinks are too big. Which if we had coordinated it all with David for fit, why would that be an issue? The vanities are identical in guest bathrooms yet he didn't install the same size counters. Why? Only one side of countertop was caulked and when asked why, he said "oh that isn't necessary my guy shouldn't have done that." But everywhere was caulked besides one wall so that makes no sense. He forgot to put countertop against the wall. When he came back to replace the counter top that was too small he put on the other piece but it is all too small for it's replacement. I've put pictures in here. End of the day, I wouldn't hire him again but if you want to be told that's what you get for a $600 discount, then hire David. read more

Overall great experience. I wanted to update three bathroom vanities at my house with granite. I called David, texted him some measurements and pictures, and he gave me a very good quote for fabrication and installation right over the phone, plus offered to sell me some remnants at a discount so I didn't have to buy a whole slab. Long story short, I went to his place on Tuesday to look at granite, he measured at my house on Wednesday, and he and his team installed the finished countertops on Thursday. I wouldn't recommend this company based on my experience. They were running behind for my initial appointment so we rescheduled for another date. They cancelled my second appointment without asking me. Instead, David asked if he could drop by my home while I was at work. I asked to reschedule for another date, because I wanted to be present for the appointment. They didn't give me a third date and asked me to take my own measurements and order my stone from their wholesaler. He was essentially asking me to do his job (IMHO). After this response, I went with another company on Yelp (see my review) I'm sure David is a nice guy and does great work. At the same time, if you are going to pay thousands of dollars for new countertops, you want to work with a company that will at the very least meet with you on time, obtain measurements and order the slab. read more

Once we made our selection, the process was easy. We purchased a sink on Amazon and shipped it directly to his shop so he could measure to fit.
