He wrote our comprehensive estimate for pull-outs in all our kitchen cabinets as well as for our master bathroom vanities and our lower stop-n-drop cabinet. Scheduling was immediate; Steve, our installer did a fantastic job, including a challenging task of repairing the damaged metal track on one of our existing deep utility drawers, which we really needed and appreciated. Subsequently, we added another 9 feet of cabinetry in our kitchen, and of course we again hired Shelf Theory to not only add pull-outs to the new cabinets but also to convert all the existing doors and drawers to soft-close. We wanted to convert 1/2 of the new lower pantry-size cabinet to a "Utility" for storing our step ladder, and we knew that Chris would know just what to do. In fact, I insisted that Chris himself would handle this request, and he did not disappoint. Along with his trusty assistant, Craig, they expertly accomplished the modification as well as the complete conversion to soft-close in record time. We were amazed at how quickly they accomplished this work and how meticulously they were in precisely adjusting the tension for each soft-close. We could not be happier with the quality, value and superb workmanship we received from Chris and his team at Shelf Theory. And thank you very much for the Veteran discount, Chris. It appears your memory of the chain of events is skewed, nothing on our part was fabricated attached to this review is a copy of those text messages from you dated 8/2021 to validate the accuracy of my initial review. There was no quote issued, no customer transparency, no continuous updates or communication unless I generated the inquiry, and there wasn't a team as you mentioned it was you alone that I dealt with and no one else. You never said, on any occasion anything about a team and being booked out to September 2021; you lead us along for 5 weeks you never communicated a staffing shortage or covid-19 as a "secret reason", now it is being used as an excuse in your rebuttal nearly 2 years later! Yes, I did purchase the fixtures only to expedite the guest bath remodel which worked out with the other contractor that completed the remodel. We never had a specific start date with your company since I could not get you/Millennium Designs, Inc. to quote the job we were flexible and open to dates if needed. In conclusion, I fired you due to your constant delays and procrastination since you could not generate a customer job quote in 5 weeks. The facts remain as mentioned in my review nearly 2 years ago (21 months). There was no fabrication of events on our part only facts and timelines. There is more fabrication and lack of transparency on your part and it is apparent you take no professional responsibility for your actions. You then blame the customer and make false accusations on their behalf when you actually made false/failed promises to deliver us a quote after 5 weeks of waiting patiently, just do your job and follow through which never happened. Don't tell me what my experience was it was duly noted in my initial review of 8/2021 and is an accurate representation of the bad experience we had with Millennium Designs, Inc. When possible I like to support small independent local businesses and made the call for an estimate . Dan the owner spent a lot of time at our in home visit to review the scope , made great suggestions on 2 new pots and pan drawers and assured us we would not know they were refaced but would look like new cabinets . We chose a beautiful Maple wood with new drawers on amazing soft close silent hardware . The work crew was professional , skilled craftsmen that figured out every little corner and angle to perfection . I am amazed at the quality of work . The transformation is stunning . My adult daughter just saw the new kitchen today for the first time and was so impressed she thought it was all new boxes from the ground up ! We recommend better than new Kitchens 100 % for refacing .They are an honest local company that delivers on their project promise.

Then Dan came to our house and spent a significant amount of time with us explaining our options, showing us samples of cabinets, and answering all of our questions. We opted for several additional options on top of our initial estimate, but we never felt pressured to add or upgrade anything. We initially had hoped to do refacing to improve the overall aesthetic of our kitchen, but we were so excited to discover some of the additional options that were offered that solved functional problems that had always bothered us! When we reached out to Better Than New, we didn't even realize how much they could do besides just refacing. We replaced all of our old, hard-to-open drawers with beautiful, easy to open, soft-close drawers. We added a pull-out drawer for trash and recycling bins. We replaced sagging shelves in our cabinets. And we replaced the shelves in our deep pantry with drawers, making the space SO much more usable and accessible for our tall family. So not only is the kitchen beautiful, but it's so much more functional. There were zero hidden fees. The work was absolutely immaculate. The team was incredibly professional. And the work was done as scheduled and on time - the entire project only took 2.5 days!! I didn't receive estimates from other companies, so I don't know how the price would have compared. But we feel that the finished product, the quality of the materials used, and the professionalism and skill of the team were worth what we paid. We really couldn't be any happier with Better Than New Kitchens, and we LOVE our new kitchen. I'd highly recommend working with this company!
