Space Solutions was great with my closet build! I had submitted a yelp project originally for a closet build and Space Solutions was one of the quickest to respond. I was initially given Todd's contact info as he was the rep in my area and he was very quick to respond to me when I let him know what I was looking for. From there Todd came over and took down measurements for the project and we briefly talked about what I didn't like with my current set up and what I wanted to change. This was all complimentary I might add! He understood my needs as his mock up only needed one slight adjustment before I was ready for the team to begin work! Todd also got the first draft to me within 48 hours of the measurements and the second mock up within an hour- talk about vast and reliable service! After I was good with the design I was able to pay a deposit through their portal which was super quick and easy and Todd started to get me scheduled with their builders. I was put on the list for three weeks out and got a text and email reminder a couple of days before! Eric came right within the 2 hour window to do the job. The build took around 3 hours and Eric did great. This whole process from start to finish was seamless and I felt very well prepared and taken care of. These guys are reliable, quick, and do quality work. I am already drafting up my next few projects I'll be asking them to do!! read more

Update... I recently spoke to my designer at Space Solutions after my original review who kindly reached out to me since I gave a mediocre review (not great but not horrible). After speaking with him, we both agreeded there was a lack of understanding regarding the material used and where which is ultimatly on him and missing samples of construction. Turns out that sample for shelving was just for that shelving that was removable of longer spans, in my case 4 feet long. It did to apply to any other shorter fixed shelving which explains the inconsistany of the build, something he negated to mention or make clear. So, With greater explanation, I will stay at 3 stars and add the recommendation for potential customers to make sure that "ALL" construction elements and material variations of your cabinets are disclosed and you are satisfied with that and that samples are provided and or clearly defined because they will use lesser quality materials where they can and will not be part of the samples shown then they visit you. A bit misleading, but they only show you how one type of shelf will be constructed. read more

We recently had Space Solutions turn our entry coat closet into a pantry, and it turned out great! Our kitchen doesn't have a pantry, and since the coat closet is right next to it, it made sense to put it to good use. They brought my vision to life, and it has more storage than I even expected! It definitely maximized the closet space and now my big Costco hauls are not daunting because I have a place to store everything. It did take a bit to complete the job due to supply issues, but now that it's finally complete, it's perfect! If you're on a time crunch, I'd have them check availability of items prior to starting the job to make sure that they can complete it when you need. Regardless, they did not take our final payment until everything was done and to our liking. I would recommend them! read more

We had 2 closets done. Overall the install went great. Communication has been horrible though, from the beginning. Email responses are slow. The problem though was during install. There were supposed to be 2 drawers only in one of the closets, and they were jewelry drawers. They were being installed way too high for jewelry and when mentioned, he said they weren't noted as jewelry drawers and the sizing wasn't correct for it. I've tried emailing our sales person, heard back once that these are 'standard size' and won't return another email. Guess that's what happens after you pay. Also, the side railing is not installed properly and is popping off. Make sure everything is done correctly and the designer understands what you want before moving forward with this company!! read more

This is not an easy review to make. I very much wanted to be able to leave a 4 or 5 star review, but there were far too many issues with my project for me to be able to write a positive review. First, the design consultation and estimation were both stellar. I interviewed several companies and Space Solutions was the only one who listened to my needs, saw my vision and created a mock up that was what I was looking for in my home office. The estimate was reasonable and within about a thousand dollars of what I expected. Scheduling was easy and about 3 weeks out from the date I approved the estimate and design. I immediately paid the 50% deposit to get the ball rolling. Fast forward to the week before the job was to commence and I had to call the office to verify the install was still set. I was informed everything was ready to go for the following week. Day of the install, the crew showed up and informed me that only part of my order was done. The rest was still being fabricated and would be installed the following day. The next day, the crew show up and inform me that only the shelving is done and the countertops are not finished. In every instance of communication, I had initiate the conversation. For over a week and a half, no communication unless I initiated it. The lack of communication from this company is atrocious. Finally, after 14 days, the job is finished. Not quite to the actual design, but close enough. It was very apparent that they do not like communicating when there's any issues. The overall quality is fine. But, if you're looking for a contractor that communicates with you even when the conversation is difficult, don't select this company. I should also add that there was no meaningful apology or concession. Just a bunch of noise about how "this never happens". read more

We purchased 2 garages full of cabinets 14 years ago from Space Solutions. Our cabinets do not get much use as they just store items. Years ago the doors had began to rub from basic gravity. I called up Space Solutions and had found someone else had just bought the business and they were not going honor the warranty of just re-adjusting the doors. I was very very bummed and disgruntled. If I took over a business I definitely would, especially something so basic. So we sucked it up and paid. No one has to worry about this now as anyone who was under the original company's warranty, it is expired by now anyways. Moving on to 14 years from original purchase, we let my mom park in our garage due to her age and heat while my husband is at work, when she comes to visit, and she decided to re-arrange our garage cabinets accidentally. We needed a couple of doors replaced and trim. It was very funny, and now we have something to pick on her about. heehee I reluctantly called the company cause inside I was still salty about the warranty, but I wanted the same product. Brett showed up and we went over the doors and some other wear and tear items to tune up. The price wasn't too bad so we waited for our quote from a phone call, approved it and scheduled a date to fix. Brett is such a good guy. Very professional, a good listener, no attitude just easy going and friendly. He did a great job and completes the repairs very timely. They are very blessed to have him. Their bid was the lowest & after comparing "apples to apples" & w/ the great YELP reviews it was a no Brainer!! Matt came out a few times to bid & double check & walk thru exactly what we wanted. I am beyond happy with the cabinets that this company did for us. Matt came out and I explained what I wanted ( a small office set up in what was formerly a closet). Be had me pick out materials and took some measurements. By the end of the day he had the design and cost estimate emailed to me. It was perfect and the price was good. We placed the order next day ( Matt told me they were 6-8 weeks out for the install , which wasn't bad compared to other businesses). Within 2 weeks he called me with an install date which was on the short end of the estimate. Their installer Derrick arrived on time today and completed the install. He was a perfectionist and made sure everything was perfect and cleaned up before he left. The cabinets are very sturdy with soft close drawers . Although they are a laminate they look almost identical to our Thomasville kitchen cabinets. I was searching for a company to remodel our master bedroom closet, so I requested a quote. Jason called me within a day or two and left me a voicemail. I called him right back and left him a voicemail. In the meantime, I was busy getting quotes and looking to get other projects done and realized, he never called me back (5 days later). I contemplated on calling him again and decided to (against my better judgement). He answered and made no attempt to acknowledge his delay. He came out 5 days later to give me a quote. To make it easier, I had drawn up my plans on how I envisioned our closet. He seemed nice enough and he spent about 30 minutes with me. He measured the area, but really didn't take any notes which I thought was odd. He said, "I will have a design sent to you today or tomorrow." I was actually surprised, since I thought it would take longer. That day passed. The next day also passed. Two days later, he sent me a text saying he was finalizing my design/estimate and would have it over to me that day, which did not happen. The following day, I texted him and told him I didn't receive anything yet. He did not respond. Three days went by without a word and then he finally sent my design with an estimate. Unfortunately, the design was not what we discussed and I was disappointed yet again. The only good thing was the price compared to their competitors (nearly half of the cost). So, I texted and emailed Jason and told him we needed to discuss the designs, since it wasn't what I was expecting. He replied via text a day later and asked if we could talk that day. I wasn't going to hold my breath, but he did call!!! We went over the plans again and he said he would send the revisions that day, but he didn't. I texted him the next day and asked about the revisions, but he didn't respond. I texted again the day after that and no response! The following day he sent an email with revisions at 1:30 a.m. and the designs were incorrect AGAIN! Really???? Ok, at that point I was done. You cannot expect to get business when you keep promising to do something and don't, when you ignore potential clients, and keep sending incorrect designs. At that point, I was done and didn't respond. He obviously didn't care, since it's been a week now. So, I obviously hired another company, who is a lot more expensive. However, they sat down with me the day of my appointment for 2 hours and showed me my design and estimate right then. I was impressed! I hesitated at the price though, but knew I would not be able to get Space Solutions to do the job or do it right. How they are still in business is beyond me. Seriously, how are they still in business??? I guess if you have the time and patience and are willing to get the wrong designs to save money, then you will be fine. The process was a bit longer than I anticipated and once the project was almost done we had to wait a few weeks for them to finish the counter top in the laundry room. I feel like their customer service could improve a little but overall we had a good experience with them and the end result was good. We worked with Paul and he is very experienced and professional. Horrible treatment. I called for a warranty repair. They scheduled an appointment but did not show. I called back after missing half a day of work waiting. They wouldn't apologize and even after I proved I had the warranty certificate, refused to honor it. The cabinet facing was simply stapled (with no glue, screws, or other securing) and tore in two due to the weight of the particle board doors. I had to go throughout my garage and correctly secure the facing with glue and wood screws. I would rate this company a 3.5 star because it's between "okay" and "good". I ended up giving a 3-star, so keep in mind that it might be a bit harsh depending on how you look at the issue that I have experienced. I am starting off with the goods here. Cabinet installation - We signed up for two projects: cabinet in the laundry and a sizable garage cabinet. Let me make one thing clear - These guys build quality stuff, no joke. If I have to rate based on just the construction and the quality of the cabinets, we are looking at a 5-star review easily. Adam did most of the work and Brett did stop by and fixed up some of the missing part. Both technicians are professional and careful. The only down side is that the laundry wasn't completed in one day as promised, meaning I had to extra spent time to cleaned up twice for the same project. But still, we are looking at quality, sturdy cabinets. Sales - In my inquiry, I asked for a technical person because I do ask a lot of questions, and have some concerns. They gave me Mark, and that worked out. He is indeed technical and experienced. He communicates well, and not pushy. However, he did miss the measure on the laundry cabinets. When we questioned his measurement, he did not make any excuses. He came back and measured it again and corrected the issue, so we thought that's very professional. I am glad we got to work with Mark. So two things went wrong, and that really just left bad taste in the mouth. Before the cabinet installation, I confirmed twice over the phone and once in the e-mail to make sure that no one will need to step on the existing bottom cabinet and our new washer & dryer in order to build the new cabinets in the laundry room. Mark promises that it won't happen. The lady who called and coordinating the installation also promised that wouldn't happen. I even sent them pictures of the laundry layout, and they are still quite confident that Adam (the technician) won't be using washer & dryer, and the existing cabinet as a step ladder. Did Adam get that message? Absolutely, but did he end up stepping on them? Of course. I thought I would watch Cirque Du Soleil show in my laundry, and obviously that didn't happen. What I don't understand is how can they make this promise when they received and reviewed the laundry picture. They know the setup very well. Mark even visited this place twice in person! The only way to make it work is to have a second technician there at the same time, but that wasn't the case. So basically this company just voided the warranty of my new washer & dryer when Adam stepped on it. It's not his fault, he had to, his company didn't give him the right tool or manpower to do it without stepping on them. The existing cabinet was a victim too. I talked to the manager, and he refuses to provide any warranty to the existing bottom cabinet if somehow the bottom cabinet turns loose within 6 month (yes, that's all I am asking for, 6 month since they step on it). Now you see why this experience brings their review down to 3-stars. If you think you might encounter the same problem, make sure you ask for a manager, and send the picture to the manager as well. The other issue is that they typically don't provide cabinet pumpers. So, when you close your cabinet doors, it will make a loud banging noise. You will have to buy your own. It's weird that a quality cabinet company can't provide something cheap like cabinet bumper, so take that into your quote consideration (they won't disclose it upfront). TIP - Make sure you ask for a complete disclosure on their life-time warranty policy. It's not what you think as many items are actually NOT life time warranty. This part doesn't bother me though; I think their policy is quite fair after reading the complete warranty disclosure. read more

Ryan (Service Tech) arrived on time and was by himself. He greeted us with a very friendly attitude and immediately got to work. He was efficient, professional and did an amazing job. He made sure we were satisfied and cleaned up before he departed. Space Solutions is a great company and we were happy with the price we paid. New home, so had to get new garage cabinets. I did my research and got two quotes from competing companies. While the competitor was slightly less expensive, the professionalism and sense of truly understanding my needs exhibited by Matt at Space Solutions was great. I reasoned that Space Solutions has many years of experience which means they've learned how to do it right - so I went with them. Now that my new cabinets are in, I see that I made the right choice to go with these guys. The installers were good guys - they knocked out the large job within the day, and with zero issues.
