We picked out our counters at Aracruz, Matt went there and validated that they would work for our kitchen, then put a hold on them. He also went to the sink distributor and ordered our sink. After our cabinets were done, they came to measure the next day and we had our counters 6 business days later, which was incredibly fast! Our undermount kitchen sink separated from the granite counter and dropped on Christmas Eve morning. I spent several days trying to locate a service that could remount it, calling both granite counter firms and plumbers only to be told "we don't do that." Then I found Granite Dude's website. They are so professional, knowledgeable, skilled and just plain nice. Scott was here when he said he would be. He spent a little time showing and explaining what the original installers had done wrong 12 years ago. He remounted the sink better than it was before for a very reasonable cost. Granite boy! where do we start, a fantastically run family business who go above and beyond for their clients. We spoke with Matt after appearing at the granite supplier Aracruz, we initially spoke over the phone and mentioned that we would like marble installed, Matt was kind enough to give us a demo of marble how to maintain, its issues, look after etc. as many people make complaints about the material for not being as durable! After this we had Matt quote the price including the material from our initial selection at Aracruz, we spoke about options and extending the marble a little more around the island to allow people to sit under. Matt came back and the price was good and within our budget so next step was to have Granite Dudes team over to measure, the process was simple they were done fairly quickly. The install was just as simple it took roughly a day and the marble counters look fantastic, we have our overhang, we have a huge single slab island without a single cut, attention to detail is amazing they match the apron cut with the stones natural flow and color. I thought I had already written a 5 Star review for Matt and his crew but now I can write two 5 star reviews because he has installed granite in our home a few months ago and this week in our rental condo. I have remodeled 6 houses in various states and I had become jaded towards contractors. They never called you back and when they did make appointments they didn't show. Their work was shoddy and they didn't stand by it when there was an issue, just made excuses. Frustrating. Not Matt. He wont let you down. All in all if you want granite installed by a responsive quality company this is it. Matt set up an appointment with me quickly and was on time. His bid was competitive but his responsiveness was the deal sealer. We set a tentative date depending based on other remodeling we were doing and Matt checked in with me to see if we were still on schedule along the way. The team of Luis and company did an excellent job. Matt also had made recommendations for the new sinks and sent photos. Nice and cheaper than buying them elsewhere. This time we used Matt for our rental condo and I had a short timeframe between tenants. I sent Matt photos of the kitchen and Matt sent photos of a quartz piece he had that he thought would look great. It certainly does! As usual he was prompt and professional. Luis came too do the measurements and asked how I wanted a few things he noticed handled at the install. After the work was completed Matt facilitated fixing an issue that he didn't have to cover under the contract. Most companies it would be like pulling teeth to get it done. I could not have had a better experience than I did with Matt and the Granite Dude staff. I had two 1/2 slabs of granite and Matt cut them, fit them, installed them and they came out perfectly and did it all in about 1 week. The outcome was absolutely perfect!!! I am not one of those people who write many reviews but I wanted to share this special experience. Matt came to my place 2 days after my first call to ensure I had measured correctly, I took him the granite and one week later he was back at my house to install it, and did a great job...his price was reasonable, the work was fantastic and the install for 3 bathroom sinks and one counter only took a couple of hours and NO mess left behind....you should just call Matt and skip the others. I originally called 5 different contractors and only Matt got back to me on the same day as my initial call, 3 of the others got back to me over the following 3 weeks and the last never called me back at all. On the 3 other contractors I originally called...all were from yelp with decent reviews; 1 called me back 4 days later to tell me they couldn't do anything for at least 6 weeks, 1 called back while Matt was cutting my granite and the last contractor called me back on the day Matt was installing. Work was performed well and looks good and Scott and Lupe know what they're doing, BUT, Josh doesn't have a clue how to take care of customers and will run and hide when problems arise. 1. My wife did the complete picking of granite for counters and installation date, BUT, was not make clear that Granite Dude does not do the faucet installation. When the day came to rip out old plumbing and install new countertops, we were stuck trying to find a plumber at moments notice to install new faucets and hook them up. Ended up paying twice as much for a plumber to come and install new faucets. 2. My wife had called over the phone and spoke with Josh two weeks earlier about switching sinks to a different kind. Josh said no problem. But when the day came, the wrong sink was installed and once you cut granite you have what you have. Josh refused to answer phone calls and his boss had to talk for him and said because it wasn't in writing there was nothing he could do. Gave my wife a $300 dollar refund for the "problem" Be careful ladies and make sure every step of the process is covered when you do a big job like this and always read the fine print. read more

I'm a first time home owner, and as I quickly learned, most contractors either (a) take advantage of their customers' inexperience and/or (b) nickel and dime you by giving you a low bid, and then start charging for extra materials in the middle of the job. By the time I got around to Granite Dude, I was well versed in detecting who is legit and who isn't - the reason I would recommend Granite dude is: 1. Their customer service is excellent 2. The quality of work is excellent 3. They are upfront, and don't try and hide costs - they will tell you what the final price will be right off the bat. 4. They do what they say they will do (ie, showing up on time, no whining about unexpected events, charges, etc etc) Their bids for me included fabrication of the granite slab, install of granite and install of plywood subtop, sealing of granite, removal and disposal of old countertops, 4in backsplash (and a little more in my case), edge type, as well as taxes. In my case, they helped me with remnant pieces of granite from other jobs to cover smaller areas like my bathroom (ie, save a little money) In contrast, there two other contractors who gave me a number that equalled Granite Dude's final quote, but just for labor. They were going to charge me for two full slabs (ie no remnants) - without any mention of sealing, disposal costs and taxes. Complete shmucks. When they asked me if I had any other quotes, I just got up and left, I was so disgusted. Called Granite Dude and set up the install. I would definitely do business with them again. read more

I saw the granite, edge and finish that I wanted on a recent vacation. When I contacted Granite Dude, Steve and I spoke on the phone and I faxed over measurements of the countertops that I would need. We arranged to meet at the granite yard, where we picked out two slabs. Steve was able make the arrangements to work with our schedule. On install day, the crew was very friendly and professional. When the crew left, my husband and I noticed marks left on the counter from the aluminum level they used. I immediately contacted Steve, and he arranged to have one of the installers come according to my schedule. Now my kitchen looks perfect! I do most of my repairs through the reviews I find on Yelp. Usually this works out great. unfortunately this time that is not the case. I have a piece of granite that was installed incorrectly when I bought my house. The piece is severely cracked and needs replaced. I contacted the granite dude and left my number. He called me back and asked that that I text him a picture which I did. After a day or two with no follow up I called and left a message asking for my quote. No response. I then texted the number a few days later again no response. It would have been nice to have been called to let me know the price or if they weren't interested.
