We are looking at selling our house in the next year and are checking off a few projects to modernize some rooms, one of which is new counters/backsplash for the kitchen. We got 4 quotes, Granite Dude and another company for the same prices, one company came in at double (asked them to recalculate because it had to be miscalculated, no response back) and one was about 20% cheaper. The cheaper is due to basically only using clearance slabs, pre-fab, and very limited selection. We chose Granite Dude based on research and reviews. Highest rated by Yelp and other sites, so we decided to go with them. Matt asked for pictures, then got back to me with a quote within a couple hours. We met him down at Aracruz and selected our slabs. We had an appointment a couple days later for templating, and a week later for install. Install took less than 3 hours total, they do not do plumbing which they told me up front so I had it all prepped and ready to go. They removed the old counters, prepped, and installed the new. Overall I'd give it a 98/100. Will update review with pictures once drains/faucets/backsplash installed, but kitchen is going to look amazing with the new counters. Well worth the investment, my realtor says we should see 3-4x the money back from this simple upgrade. read more

We had a great experience with Granite Dude manufacturing and installing granite counters in our kitchen, mudroom, master bathroom, and two guest bathrooms. They did an excellent job templating and ensuring our existing kitchen sink could be re-used. They also installed new sinks in the mud room and all 3 bathrooms. I worked with Steve from the initial quote through installation and found him pleasant and professional. The time from the bid \ template \ selection \ installation was about 3 weeks. We purchased 4 slabs of serena white (level 1) and found the cost comparable and fair to other granite counter installs we have done in previous homes. Highly recommend!! read more

We were remodeling our entire bathroom and the only thing we needed to order that our general contractor could not do was the countertop/vanity. We looked into several products and several companies. Based on YELP reviews we decided on a quartz surface through the Granite Dude. The family- run business provided us a good price and Steve was very responsive and excellent in maintaining communications and providing updates etc. We are sure all goes smoothly 99% of the time; however, what happens that 1 % of the time, when there is some inadvertent damage like what happened in our bathroom. Holy cow! Granite Dude, Matt & the installer, Kirk, did an excellent job in our home. They did our kitchen, laundry room, and a small powdwe room . Matt was very respectful and listened to our concerns. He walked us around the shop and showed us several beautiful pieces of granite. From low end to high end pricing. He paid attention to what we were saying and could totally understand the color scheme we were going for. Not once did I feel that he was being pushy or trying to over sell us at all. He was totally there for us. I was seriously blown away at the pricing and how incredibly quick the work was completed. When it came time for the measuring, cutting and installation, I was amazed at the respect that I and my home were given by Kirk. He went above and beyond what I ever could imagine an installer would have to do. It was very important to him that the color flowed from the countertop up to the backsplash. It was very important to him at the color from one slab of granite flowed to another slab of granite. You can't even find the seem on our counters. I recently moved to Scottsdale and had no idea who to contact on my kitchen remodel. After reading Yelp reviews, I selected Matt the Granite Dude. Excellent choice! Matt either answers the phone or returns calls promptly. He honors his word on date, time of installation. His granite installation team? #1 in installation details, respectful but friendly and very impressive overall. EVERYTHING was exactly done as I requested. They even said "if you decide you want a soap dispenser, we can do that. Just call us--it will be $50." Here's the amazing part. After a month or so, I decided to have a garbage disposal air switch added. I called Matt, he referred me to Scott. Called Scott and he scheduled it the following Saturday, arrived on time, did a great job. The amazing part? When I asked to confirm the $50 fee, he said "don't worry about it!" AND, he was serious!! Having gone with GD, I of course don't know about the quality of the others, but I can't imagine how they would be any better than GD. I needed a new top for my outdoor BBQ, so I started getting quotes. Matt came by and provided me a fair quote. We were going to be out of the state during installation, but that shouldn't have posed any problems. Long story short, stuff happens and there were some issues. But here is the key point. I have to say that I was impressed with Granite Dude. Steve came to my house and talked to me about the alternative we had and he talked with confidence and very truthful. We set up an appointment to meet at the granite store and he help us pick the granite we really wanted. He didn't pressure us and he really had awesome input giving us tips on why we shouldn't use certain slabs. He is very knowledgeable. Another guy came to take the measurements and Steve said he only takes like 30-45 mins. But he really took his time with my kitchen because my cabinets were not leveled correctly. Ohhhh boy!!! He never lost his patience (which I will do very fast in his situation) and he took the right measurements. When the installation crew came they installed the granite without any issues. The cuts they did to the granite was perfect. I told Steve that I really like a distinctive pattern for the island and he delivered perfectly. I was very worried about the junction in the sink but it was so perfectly done that you can't even see it. And to top it off, the price was unbelievable!! I had a very frustrating experience with Granite Dude that cost me a month and left my kitchen still undone. I suppose there were three points that sent up red flags: 1) They were extremely cagey about giving a quote. They did NOT want me to have anything in writing. I almost left at this point (and should have), but they eventually left a recorded voicemail and I considered that enough. 2) I then spent a lot of time driving out to their supplier Aracruz to pick out the exact slab I wanted. For weeks, that was all of my free time. I put a hold on two slabs, but days went by and they did not act. All that time, and the time of the Aracruz employees who kindly moved so many slabs for me: wasted. 3) Now they are saying (over email) that they are not able to do email. What? I can't be leaving work during the day to call them, nor do I want to. I just want my kitchen done with the slabs that were on hold, and they know this, but are refusing service. Maybe I'm just being treated differently, but here I am with no countertops, sick enough of the whole process that I'll probably put off the kitchen entirely for a while before starting all over again. read more

I know you need measurements and more details on undermount/overmount and edge work IF I decide to go with you. I'm saying what is the price on some specific granite per sq ft. I began my search for granite for my kitchen remodel. I spoke with several companies. They all instructed me to go to a granite yard and let them know what I liked - zero customer service. If you have tried to comparison shop you know it is impossible. No one list prices and each granite yard names granite's something different. The idea of trying to know what to look for was overwhelming. I came across "Granite Dude* while trying to do more research on line. I called expecting the same lack of customer service that I had received from everyone I had dealt with so far. Imagine my surprise when Jill answered and was genuinely interested in helping me! She spent quite a bit of time answering all my questions. She said someone could come out and measure and give me a quote. Or if I had the measurements I could e-mail them and someone would call me with a quote. I e-mailed & received a call from Steve the next morning. He told me the price for my square footage and said he would be glad to meet me at the granite yard to pick out slabs. We arranged to meet and Steve was already there when I arrived. He asked me to walk through and pick out about 10 that I liked that way he would have a good idea what I liked. He spent more than an hour with me, explained pros and cons of each slab and helped me pick out the perfect slabs. The install was scheduled and the fabricators were on time and professional. I had asked for the movement of the slabs to be placed in a specific way on the peninsula. It was perfect! Both Matt and Steve stopped by during the install to make sure everything was exactly how I wanted it. Who does this? I thought customer service was dead!
