I also disagree with the statement on the quality was below the Big Box Stores as every contractor, flooring and designer that came to our home commented on how nice our kitchen looks and on the quality of the cabinets in their opinion. They did quite impressive work in repairing and sealing the parapet 'cap' in addition to sealing our flat foam roof. I hired Four Peaks Roofing in February to replace my roof. I worked with Jason in the office and…read moreBrent, my project manager. We specifically agreed to install the highest-quality underlayment, and I signed the work order reflecting that agreement. The crew began work on a Monday. On Tuesday evening, after they had left, I noticed the underlayment installed on my roof was not the product I had purchased. I checked the packaging, confirmed it was the wrong material, and emailed Brent. To his credit, he responded quickly, acknowledged the mistake, and said he would notify the foreman and owner. I followed up the next morning to ask how it would be corrected, but for nearly two and a half days I received no communication while the crew continued installing the wrong underlayment. There were no calls, updates, or explanation of how they intended to resolve the issue. Late Friday, I was told they were working with the manufacturer to extend the warranty on the installed underlayment to match the warranty of the premium product I had originally purchased. While I appreciated that solution, I was disappointed by the lack of communication during those critical days. After the roof was completed, I noticed several tile corners looked rough and unfinished. I sent Brent photos, and he agreed they needed additional detail work. The crew returned the following week, and to their credit, they significantly improved the appearance of the tile corners. Before the project began, I had also shown Brent water damage and rot around a vented soffit board beneath one of my roof overhangs. Although I later learned they normally do not replace vented soffit boards because they are not considered part of the roof, they agreed to replace mine as a goodwill gesture because of the underlayment mistake. Unfortunately, the first repair was poorly done. The installer used the wrong thickness of material, installed it unevenly, and relied heavily on caulk to fill gaps. The workmanship was poor enough that I removed the repair myself before the caulk had fully cured and purchased the correct materials to replace it properly. Around the same time, I discovered numerous roofing nails and staples protruding through my eaves that had not been there before the installation. Brent agreed this needed to be corrected. A crew later arrived after dark, without notifying us, and repaired the fasteners using flashlights. While I appreciated the quick response, showing up unannounced at our home at night to perform repairs demonstrated a lack of professionalism and respect for us as clients. A few weeks into the project, Jason called to discuss my experience. I explained that I chose Four Peaks because of its reputation and because both he and Brent had seemed honest and trustworthy throughout the sales process. Unfortunately, the execution of the project did not match those expectations. Jason apologized for the underlayment mistake and offered to have their carpenter reinstall the soffit board. I declined because I had already purchased the materials and planned to complete the repair myself. Two days later, however, my wife and I were awakened at approximately 6:00 a.m. by loud hammering outside our home. I found another Four Peaks employee reinstalling the soffit board without our knowledge or permission. To be fair, the second repair was significantly better, but the lack of communication was frustrating. Four Peaks ultimately upgraded the manufacturer warranty from 30 years to 50 years and matched it with an extended workmanship warranty, which I appreciated. They also charged me for the lower-priced underlayment that was actually installed instead of the premium product I had purchased. No other compensation offered. However, when the invoice arrived, it still reflected the original higher price, requiring me to contact Brent again to have it corrected. I was also told I would receive a project completion package after the work was finished. It is now July, and I still have not received it. After recent storms, I inspected my attic and discovered the rotted wood behind the soffit had never actually been removed. Instead, it had simply been pushed inward and covered by the new material. I've included photos showing the tile corners before they were repaired, the protruding nails and staples, the soffit repairs, and the remaining rot. Overall, Brent was responsive throughout much of the project, and several employees made efforts to resolve the issues. I appreciate those efforts. However, the repeated mistakes, poor communication, inconsistent workmanship, billing error, unfinished repairs, and multiple unannounced visits overshadowed the positives. I hope my experience helps future homeowners make an informed decision.

They also provided a professional, accurate, and detailed estimate while clearly telling me what might cost more once they get in there (e.g. leveling the floor). Other companies either gave me really rough verbal estimates or overly specific (& wrong) estimates. Communication with the guys is fantastic. The work was done with the kind of craftsmanship I expected from my meticulous grandpa (that is.. they know what they're doing and do it properly!) Unfortunately, the gentleman Frank drilled the hole the wrong size--too big. Now, our RO faucet does not sit properly on the counter, and we will have to rig it up, ruining the aesthetics. We told him BEFORE he started drilling that the bit looked too big, but he insisted it was fine. He didn't measure the bit up to the sizing diagram we provided him. We contacted Joshua, who proceeded to curse and threaten us with lawyers if we didn't pay him. Joshua stated that the services were rendered and that if we didn't pay, he would put a lien on our home (over $250 ). Joshua was screaming that he would show up to our home with lawyers and his crew and that "they don't make 1 inch diamond drill bits for granite (lol)" I mean really, it's a hole. It's too big. The guy didn't measure twice cut once. Calm down Joshua, no need to scream at people. No wonder your employee told us to contact him directly if there were any issues. We are not going to be bullied into paying for services that we didn't request- which is a hole too big for our faucet that we now have to fix. Please look elsewhere unless you like dealing with hotheads. Edit: If the owner thinks this install is acceptable- a wobbly install, not seated on the counter, with a gap visible from across the room, then he really is as delusional as he sounded when he cursed out my husband and threatened to show up at my house with 'his lawyer' if we didn't pay him. If this is the type of work the public wants from a company, and an owner that resorts to immediately screaming and threatening the customer over his employees mistake, then please hire Surprise Granite and good luck with that.

I've ordered two steel doors from TruDoor over the last 9 months for a renovation project I'm…read moremanaging. Both orders had issues. TruDoor made good on one. Not so much on the other. First order arrived with two issues: 1-missing hinge; they shipped a hinge inside of two weeks; not a huge deal 2-lockset was non-functional from day 1; I had a locksmith come out and look at the lockset TruDoor provided and he told me that it appeared damaged from the factory; TruDoor sent a replacement within 4 weeks (but it took a while (maybe 3 weeks) to get TruDoor to respond So, for Door #1, not great but they made good (eventually). The second door arrived with a large scratch on the door that required painting and a bit of bondo (because the scratch was deep enough that it was still visible after re-paint and the customer would not accept as is). I contacted Kalen (my rep) immediately upon receipt of the door with pictures. He was slow to respond (a norm, apparently), and when he did, he basically said: That's not an issue. You can just paint it. I explained to him that any issues that required me to do anything (other than install the door) would cost me money, and that I expected TruDoor to reimburse me for that (roughly 3 hours for bondo, sand and paint - so call it just under $200). Radio silence. No response to three additional emails and two voice mails. I would not buy from TruDoor again. I do about 6-8 renovation projects and 4 new builds per year. They've lost my business permanently. As far as I can tell, they are a drop shipper and work with contract manufacturers. Basically, they take your order, farm it out to whoever the cheapest contract manufacturer is and pocket the difference. The net effect of this is: if there are problems they have to fix, it's probably coming out of their profit margin and because of that, they do their best to not spend any money on solving your problem. Avoid.

With that level of unusable product, this was far beyond the normal variation or occasional defective piece you might expect with construction materials. What was equally disappointing was Antique Tile's response. We reached out hoping they would work with us to address the problem, but they were not helpful in resolving the situation or standing behind the material they supplied. As professionals who regularly purchase materials for remodeling projects, we expect reasonable quality and, when there is a significant problem, a supplier that is willing to work toward a solution. Unfortunately, that was not our experience with Antique Tile. Based on both the quality of the material we received and the way the issue was handled, we would not purchase from Antique Tile again and cannot recommend them.
