We paid this company $16,500 for our countertops, and the workmanship and lack of accountability…read morehave been completely unacceptable. We spent TWO MONTHS planning this project, provided all specifications upfront, including plans for our countertop appliance garage, and were taken to a stone supplier's showroom to select our slabs. Of the four slabs selected for our project, one had a visible fish-shaped imperfection, which was used without any discount offered to us. Despite measuring our kitchen TWICE, they incorrectly fabricated and installed our countertops, leaving crooked countertops, uneven overhangs, misaligned stone, improper cuts, and a large visible seam in our backsplash that we were specifically promised would be one continuous piece. Their proposed solution to THEIR measurement errors was to cut down our BRAND-NEW kitchen cabinets, which we refused. Their crew also scratched our new cabinetry and left our front yard littered with trash, energy drink cans, wrappers, and installation materials. Jonathan personally guaranteed that if any slabs were incorrectly cut, they would replace them at NO additional cost to us. However, when we asked him to honor that guarantee, he instead suggested we pay half the cost of another slab or purchase one ourselves. We have been more than reasonable, allowing them to return for adjustments, discussing multiple possible resolutions, and giving Jonathan numerous opportunities to make this right. Unfortunately, the installation remains visibly defective, and he has since avoided our repeated attempts to resolve the situation. This is NOT a matter of being picky or difficult homeowners. These are legitimate measurement, fabrication, and installation errors. Even opening our kitchen drawers exposes how crooked and uneven the countertops are. We will be uploading photographs showing the poor workmanship, misalignment, and damage to our cabinetry so others can see the results for themselves. After spending $16,500, we should not be financially responsible for correcting THEIR mistakes. We have simply asked them to honor their guarantee by properly replacing or correcting the defective work at no additional cost or providing an appropriate refund. Instead, we have been left with improperly installed countertops, scratched cabinets, broken promises, and no resolution. I absolutely DO NOT recommend this company. Homeowners deserve contractors who honor their commitments, take responsibility for their mistakes, and stand behind their work. BEWARE BEFORE HIRING THIS COMPANY!

He didn't try to upsell or act too fake or flattering like some of the salespeople at other companies do. We communicated mostly over email with Jeana, who was kind and responsive as well. The install went very smoothly and only took an hour or so. My only downside was that it took about a week longer than we were told to have it completed, and I had to reach out via email a few times to get updates instead of being updated. But Joe listened to my feedback and told me how the process works waiting for materials. I also sent them photos of some marks on the counter I thought I saw, and they sent someone out to clean and buff it and make it like new again. The paperwork and payment were all online so it was very easy to do. Overall a smooth process and good work done.

I was worried that the granite countertop would have to be removed but he jacked it up to secure it and no cracks. Then we had another bathroom vanity that had termite damage. We had some other cabinet companies look at repairing but they all said the marble counter top would have to be removed. I doubt they could be removed without cracking. He came over and looked at the damage. No problem, supported the countertop with jacks. Measured the cabinets, went to his shop and rebuilt the cabinets. He came out a week later and reinstalled. Everything turned out perfect and no evidence that 2 of the cabinets were replacements. Thankfully we were able to reuse the drawers. He even fixed scratch marks on our dining room wood door! He is very professional, precise with his work. We have other projects for him and won't consider using anyone else. Hats off to Israel and Julie for a job well done. I purchased the prefab quartz countertop pieces from a different supplier but I wasn't too thrilled about the communication (or lack thereof) with their preferred countertop installer. The same could not be said about Sebastian. From the initial planning to the fabrication to the actual installation, Sebastian was extremely communicative and responsive. He even had alternative options when my supplier had a slight mix-up during the pick-up process which is important if you are ever under a time constraint. Although I bought the prefab quartz pieces from another store, I ended up purchasing a marble slab from Sebastian directly since he was able to secure a beautiful slab at an unbeatable price. I live in Los Angeles and since I could not always be in Phoenix in person, I need contractors and tradesmen who I could trust to execute projects in my absence. Sebastian facetimed me and sent photos and videos during both planning and installation stages. He told me if there was anything I wasn't happy with he would happily fix it but nothing needed to be fixed. I had a third party inspect it and they indicated that it was installed incorrectly and that the installer failed to put down the required moisture barrier underneath it in addition to failing to appropriately secure the edges with the baseboards. I contacted this company in hopes that they would honor the installation warranty. they took one phone call, asked for pictures then never contacted me despite me emailing them twice and calling multiple times. Beware of cutting corners, improper install and then not honoring the warranty. Shame on Eastern Cabinet and Stone.
