We patronized, and would again, Countertop Rock (CR) in the metropolitan Phoenix area for several…read morereasons: 1. CR's communication is stellar from cradle to grave; 2. We appreciated the clarity of the scheduled work outlined when considering their services; 3. They indicated flexibility, within reason, regarding project creep should we want to modify or add to its scope (which we did); 4. No contracting job occurs flawlessly...CR has the resources to readily leverage labor and materials to fill any gaps and the inevitable. Our experience began when we initially called no less than 5-8 contractors looking for options on full kitchen/bathroom cabinet refacing, extending existing kitchen cabinets to the ceiling, replacing kitchen countertops and adding cabinets to the laundry room including a functional sink w/countertop. Several providers never answered their phone or called us back and the others that did required us to take measurements before they'd even come to our home. (Eventually, after pressing this issue, we were told this is industry standard, however, the likely motivations are these companies assume their time is going to be wasted and/or they prioritize full cabinet replacement over refacing) Joe Ricciardi, Countertop Rock, is the only service provider who actually answered the phone and immediately scheduled a visit to our home. He was on time (all appointments), clean-cut, has a professional demeanor and effortlessly creates a relaxed rapport, all while continuously developing a renovation strategy based on LISTENING to our ideas and then guiding us through our Q&A. He took measurements (which we would've gotten wrong left to our own devices after watching Joe); showed us examples of previous jobs; provided samples of color schemes, textures and styles; created a timetable and clearly discussed expectations (which only wavered slightly throughout the project because we added to the job) and lastly provided an estimate for the job that only increased slightly, because we added to the job. In short CR, Joe, is the only service provider who demonstrated a true hunger for our business and therefore he earned ours. As the work began, we decided to add on to the job by having three counters in different bathrooms replaced; Joe had us visit the 'yard' where lovely pieces of granite leftover from other jobs created gorgeous upgrades to our bathrooms at discounted prices making those rooms really pop. In summary, it took about a month to complete all the work outlined above; the job ran efficiently and as described. In hindsight, the lack/absence of communications and preconditions of the other service providers led us to Countertop Rock, and we're thankful it did as we can't imagine having gone with another provider. So we wholeheartedly recommend Countertop Rock as your cabinet and countertop specialists...its family owned and run; we always felt safe with their workers; everyone was obviously the best in their space; and CR conducted itself at all times as an experienced and quality solution to our home renovation and set us up for great success regarding our home's resale.

11/21/25 AG2 installation day!…read more Background We began consulting with C&S Home Solutions Remodeling September 2025 about our goals for updating our Kitchen, laundry and Bathrooms. The kitchen was a complete remodel eliminating an arched wall extending the kitchen to increase counter and cabinets linear feet. It also incorporated a breakfast bar. Two bathrooms were being remodeled. To accomplish our design continuity we visited Arista Stone to look for slaps for our design. Once we selected our slaps C&S Home Solutions remodeling enlisted the talents of small women owned business Brenda Rodriguez of AG2 Design LLC. Brenda personally visited our home and took all the measurements the day after our cabinetry was installed. She developed the template(s) for all countertops in the rooms. Her expertise quickly shifted to maximizing the use of the slabs minimizing waste and assuring we had enough slab from the same slab lot. Installation day came five days later after the rough bulk slabs were cut and polished. The craftsmanship of the beveled edges and smooth radius corners was amazing. Brenda's team began the installation by custom building the slab to countertop beds to support the heavy countertops. As each countertop was installed the Kitchen quickly transformed from design concept to a beautiful sculptured smooth line modern contemporary kitchen. Brenda also added a slab notch cut to tastefully incorporate a stub wall leading to our laundry room. Maybe a little detail to some but this extra touch of class showcases the talents and personal touches she delivers to her customers. Brenda arrived at the time of installation to personally see everything went smoothly and that we were satisfied. I can't say enough about Brenda and her company AG2 Design! I purchased the prefab quartz countertop pieces from a different supplier but I wasn't too thrilled about the communication (or lack thereof) with their preferred countertop installer. The same could not be said about Sebastian. From the initial planning to the fabrication to the actual installation, Sebastian was extremely communicative and responsive. He even had alternative options when my supplier had a slight mix-up during the pick-up process which is important if you are ever under a time constraint. Although I bought the prefab quartz pieces from another store, I ended up purchasing a marble slab from Sebastian directly since he was able to secure a beautiful slab at an unbeatable price. I live in Los Angeles and since I could not always be in Phoenix in person, I need contractors and tradesmen who I could trust to execute projects in my absence. Sebastian facetimed me and sent photos and videos during both planning and installation stages. He told me if there was anything I wasn't happy with he would happily fix it but nothing needed to be fixed. I assessed his work in person the week after he completed installation and I was extremely satisfied with the installation and his attention to detail.
