Friends of ours referred Able Carpets, after Mike got their carpet installed in a tight timeline during the holidays. So we've had our new carpet for a little over a month now, and we're still in awe of how amazing it looks and feels. Based on the high yelp reviews, I called Abel for a quote to remove tile from a bathroom and tile the bathroom and connecting bedroom. Mike returned my call the same day and we scheduled a walk through for an estimate. He quickly provided me a competitive quote for the work, and about two weeks later the work started. Mike and his crew were punctual, tidy, and incredibly efficient. He estimated the work would be done in three days, and in reality it took about 1.5 days! After the demo and tile were complete, there were a few very minor problems that needed addressing. Mike arranged for the crew to return the next day, and they quickly fixed the areas that needed a bit more work. Mike came out, showed me carpets that I could use in a rental that were close to my budget (hence the 4 stars) but the price was good considering the complete job. Mike made sure the carpet was installed on a tight schedule and sent a crew out to R/R the living room and family room, then take the best of the old carpet and fix the hall. When all was said and done, it was better than I had expected. The installers were very professional and took pride in doing hard, complex repair to the hall. When our house was built in 1995, we used Baker Bros. to install our carpet. When the day came to install, all of sudden they didn't have enough carpet. As our closing date was approaching, we told them we were going to go with another company. A short time later, they miraculously 'found' more carpeting. After they installed it, I compared it to the sample I had and I absolutely know that they didn't install the same carpet that we chose. It was inferior quality and broke down quickly. So when it came time to replace my carpeting, I was skeptical of all carpeting installers. I did my research, read all the reviews, crossed my fingers and chose Abel Carpet in Oct. 2013. I chose wisely!! Mike did a great job helping me choose the right carpeting and padding. He didn't try to oversell or pressure me into anything I didn't want. After the install, I was amazed that the carpet I chose looked and felt even better than I expected. I was thrilled! Over a year later, I am still in awe. Every time I walk barefoot across it, I want to call Mike and thank him again! At the install, we had them run some speaker wire diagonally underneath the carpeting and within a day or two we started to notice the bumps they made. Mike sent one of his guys out immediately and they pulled up all the carpeting in that area and fixed the problem. No problem since and you'd never know they were there. Wow! What an amazing experience. Mike Fasano, the owner, was very helpful via our initial e-mail communication and then wonderful during our meeting. He arrived at our home with many carpet samples, answered our questions and was respectful of our need to talk and make our decision in private. He was at our home in the midst of a stressful situation for us (problems with our contractor) and was so kind and concerned and recommended some ways that we could resolve our issues, even though they had nothing to do with him. We selected a quality carpet and were really pleased with the price. It was more than fair, especially considering the level of attention and service we received. Mike was very thorough in his explanation of the costs, how the installation would work, etc. We ordered the carpet on a Tuesday and he was able to schedule our install for Saturday morning. We even called him again on Wednesday after we decided to expand the area we wanted to carpet and he graciously came back to our home within one hour of the call and was able to combine the order so that everything could be installed at the same time on Saturday. His installation crew was great. They showed up on time, the were friendly and efficient and were very careful not to scuff up our freshly painted walls and newly installed baseboards. I have used Abel carpets twice in the past and was very happy with his professionalism and their work. With the recent rainstorms, my house had a leak and flooded the carpet in the front room. The situation was urgent as my tenants were not happy with the situation. I called Mike and he called the tenants immediately to calm them down. His recommendation was not to replace the carpet, but just part of the pad and stretch the carpet. Realize I am out of state and have to go by his recommendation.
