Where to begin? Let us start from the moment we walked in. THe Hostess was very friendly and smiling showed us to our sea,t placed settings for us and then the bubble busted. The decor was very drab and way out dated. The menu looked very pleasing but to bad the food did not live up to it. We ordered 1 Soup of the day Beef Won-Ton Soup which was wonton soup with what I think was gravy added to it. I ordered regular wonton soup that was of chicken, as it said on the menu but could not taste much over the fat and salt. Then came the pot stickers. They were the appetizer of the month and I do believe just due to the fact they clean out the freezer and found them. They were dripping in grease, because they were deep fried, and the sauce they served with was so sweet I could not stand it. So I asked for a small bowl and some red pepper flakes, but the kitchen staff would not let go of any for me I had to well basically demand them. Once I finally got them the pot stickers were cold and our meals showed up. My husband order Walnut Shrimp and what was delivered to him well let us just say was horrible looking. Old Shrimp very heavy breaded covered in a white sauce that I could only describe as watered down mayo with about a half cup of sugar add. The walnuts were thickly coated in a sugar sauce but the broccoli was green a strange glowing green. I ordered General Tsao Chicken and what was delivered was a heaping plate of sweet grease. I requested chop sticks and did not receive them nor did we receive a second plate to combine the grey dried out rice and our sugar on. I had to get up from the table walk over and ask for both items. I did feel bad for interrupting the one waitress bitch session that had been going on very loudly ever since we walked in but I wanted to try out this meal. One bite and my mouth exploded with the unpleasant combination of old grease and sugary sweetness that I sent the rest of the plate back. My poor waitress I never blame them for the food but when you have an attitude taking the plate a way that i do blame on them. From the time we walked in there were a few waitresses standing in view and defiantly in ear shot cursing and caring on about only what I am assuming was another waitress there. Very inappropriate, rude and made the whole atmosphere just that much more undesirable. The way the food was well below par to anything I have ever ordered out. Emperor's Palace has morphed from a wonderful Chinese restaurant serving delicious authentic foods at reasonable prices into the lowest possible end Americanized notion of cheap badly made Chinese food at outrageous prices. We began patronizing and loving the west side location more than 30 years ago, and were very pleased when the Lacey location opened. The food was always delicious and the portions generous. NOT ANY MORE. In November, we were saddened to find our food was prepared by a non-cook (likely the dishwasher) with cheap ingredients, incinerated small bits of meat, and the portions were literally reduced by one-half. You now pay twice the price for one Egg Roll, for less than half the food. Jumbo "Prawns" are now the size of medium Shrimp. If your order is delivered, expect to be gouged a fee for plastic bags! Obviously, Emperor's Palace does not need our money any more, so we won't find it necessary to give them any of it. HUGE disappointment, very sad state of affairs! read more

Seniors get discounts here! My family's favorite chinese restaurant in town! Hands down!!! I'm in my mid thirties and I've loved their almond fried chicken and chicken frien rice since I was sixteen! I love this location. It's near where my grandma lives and we often have family lunches and dinners here! My son LOVES everything on the kids menu. My grandma and I sit the almond friend chicken , chicken friend roce and veg lo mein. It's the perfect size to split. Seniors get discounts here which makes it so affordable. We get so full and love the food!!! My grandmas 86th birthday was today and the let us choose a free dessert, we choose chocolate moose cake and all had a bite. It was delicious! The servers are always so nice! The hostess are very accommodating because we usually request a table. The childrens favorite part are looking at the coi fish and gold fish tbey are huge and beautful! As soon as you peak over to gaze at them, they come to the top as if gazing back. We moved to Lacey in 2007 from Tri Cities, WA and were accustomed to decent to very good American Chinese food. The first time we had dinner at Emperors Palace - Feb of 2010 - my Wife and I came away disappointed, less than impressed and swore we would not return. Had I written a review I would have given them a 1/2 STAR review,, or less. Over the next 2 to 3 years we continued seeing they received GOOD to BETTER than GOOD reviews in local ads so February 2015 we decided to try them one more time. Don't know why there was such a tremendous difference BUT,, the food was excellent! We returned again last month (April 2015) and were again VERY pleased with the food, the service and the prices. If you've not visited Emperors Palace in the recent past, try them again. You may find them as pleasant a dining experience as did we. read more

I used to be pretty fond of this place. I have a soft spot for cheap Americanized Chinese food. However, I've now tried to get a delivery order in during a time I know I have in the past (10:15 on a Saturday and 9:30 on a Thursday), and both times have been told they had already closed for the evening. I can understand saving cost and labor hours, but I know I have been driving around town and nearly been hit by delivery drivers past both of these times. They seemed to have dramatically hiked the prices as well. read more

There where two people working in the bar and they look at me and made eye contact with me a couple of time but never came over to see if I needed anything. I've eaten Emperor's Palace Lacey delivery about a dozen times over 5-6 years and have never been disappointed. The food is not elegant, yet it is well-prepared. It is hot, and delivered on time. The portions are generous, the seafood is fresh, the veggies are crunchy but not under-done, the Lo Mein has plenty of chicken, the employees are friendly and know what they're doing. And no MSG. Whatever "authentic" means when applied to food, this is probably not it, but then, my expectations for a genuinely Chinese gourmand cuisine served in a palatial décor were pretty limited. Emperor's Palace was our choice. It turned out to be a very poor choice. This was very close to the worse Chinese food I've ever had. The price was reasonable but the portions were way too small. That does not make for good value. Food was delivered cold (except the soup). And, the food was dry and mostly tasteless. It had been years since I had been there. Maybe okay if you eat on site. When we walked in at 9:45 the lady just looked at us till we asked if we can be seated and then said we could order to go. Someone needs to fix the time.
