Nicole's is the only bar I would send a single lady 7 days a week to for a good time, safety for all, and an excellent bite to eat. Brunch is back on Saturday and Sunday mornings!! Yes it's back, this is a February 2026 review. See the menu. I love the veggie omelet with Hollandaise Sauce over the top, but the Eggs Benedict are a close 2nd for me. Lunch and Supper are the same menu. Happy hour is 4 to 6. Separate areas to have conversations but get the club feeling. Come on live music nights and feel the positive Energy from Nicole to her staff to you. It's that special, hopefully you'll meet Nicole. Since, she works just as hard alongside her team. Last week's visit included my 80 yo Mother, Service Dog, and me after Dr appointment with need to eat. We ordered a club sandwich for sharing with sweet potato fries. They brought two plates, I don't know what I was thinking ordering Broccoli and Cheese Soup too. We each could eat a quarter sandwich with another meal before bedtime. A+ for consistent excellence in the kitchen and home brewed ice tea. But! The Star of The Show was the House Specialty Cocktail Menu! I'm a gin and tonic kind of guy, Beefeaters if you've got it. So, was intrigued by 'Isn't She Lovely' on the menu. Every Cocktail I've had here has been excellent. I also am not an amaretto fan. Today was no different with light fruity Cocktail that hits the tongue hard until softened by the egg white meringue on top melting the sting and leaving a nicely complimentary drink. Now, I'm a fancy gin Cocktail kinda guy. Imagine a fruity adult version of the old mall orange julius with egg and take it up a notch for Nicole's Bar. A+ for ingenuity and taste. One of my past experiences at Nicole's Bar was with a gentleman who didn't drink alcohol and wanted something different than a 0% Beer. The patient, kind, caring Bartender asked his likes and dislikes. Told him if he didn't like the result, they'd toss it and start over. He loved the 1st mocktail made, and felt like the group with his drink that we all wanted a sip to check out. So now, for him and the World Nicole's Bar now offers a Mocktail Menu and I bet you can still get a Bartender to get crazy and try something new. A+ for customer service at the highest level. This place was hopping. I'm not usually into the club scene or loud music, but my SIL loves hanging out there and says the music is banging, so we thought we'd check it out. That house band is amazing! So much fun doing covers. We just chilled in a booth and soaked in the vibe. Will definitely be back because the music is great. read more

I've booked two larger parties here and the staff are so accommodating! It's easy to call and make a reservation. Everything is setup before you even arrive. For reference, one event was 32 people and the other was 14. No complaints or fussy staff. The drinks are yummy. The burgers are to die for! Most of their food is pretty good, but I definitely recommend the burgers. They do live music here most weekends. Cover starts approximately 2 hours before the shows start. If you don't have cash, they have an ATM inside. Most of the staff are super nice. Service is always pretty quick. Burger Dip with Au Jus is amazing. Bartenders are lovely and they host live shows a lot here. Pretty spacious for the area. 4.5 stars only because bathroom line is a lil tight squeeze when there's a live show but other than that, it's great. read more

Great food and drinks. The wait staff were kind and recommended some of the drink specials. The food was fresh. We were with a small group, and all the food looked amazing. The location has a few private rooms. A few booths and some high and low tables. Things to know. 1. Parking can be scarce. After 5pm parking on streets are free. 2. I went in there for takeout lunch, after having been there the night before and having a good time. It was relatively quiet, and I gave my order to the bartender. I handed him my card to process, and he went into the next room. When he came back, he handed me my card, I signed my receipt, and went on my way. The next day I got a notice from my bank that there was a $500 charge that I did not make. It was made by the bartender, and I tried contacting the owner to no avail. We came in at 9:15 AM on Saturday, and Nicole's had just opened up for the day-we were seated and ordered our food within 10 minutes, and were out and about in 30! I ordered their Avocado toast. This was a wonderful choice-not only did it taste amazing with the avocado, toasted wheat bread, sun dried tomato and pickled onion, and hot sauce (I added myself), but it was a very good value for what I ordered! I appreciated that our waiter brought out the avocado toast in halves so we could all eat our dishes at the same time-I had four pieces total, but they brought out two to start and brought two more. Normally this would all be plated together, but we had to get going due to our own plans. This was so considerate and helpful to us. I would come back here in a heartbeat. Service was great! Waitress was wonderfully attentive. My Cobb salad was below par and skimpy. The grilled chicken was very over done, so tough, hard to chew. The bacon was really hard also, in fact I pulled a piece out of my mouth to look at it, wondering if I had accidentally chomped down on a toothpick! Avocado was underripe. Stopped by for drinks and appetizers here on a not-so-busy Wednesday evening. They have an interesting line up of cocktails. We ordered the Smooth Criminal and Way Down in Kokomo and loved both these cocktails. For finger food, we ordered their delicious Mac & Cheese, Cheese curds (loved the sauce that came with these crispy curds) & the spinach artichoke dip. They do have some beer options but their cocktails menu looked amazing. This place is huge and they do have a small private room as well. I am sure this place is busy over the weekends. We had a work get-together and I had made reservations several weeks in advance, I ended up being sick but called the day of to let them know the group was still coming and they confirmed they still had the side room for us. When my group arrived, they were told there wasn't a table ready and asked if there were going to want food or just drinks and were treated like they were in the way. Then it took a long time to even order. This bar is just a couple blocks from the capitol and as they were leaving the governor walked in. So, I don't know for sure but it really feels like the governor called, and they gave him my team's spot and then just wanted my team to leave. I've been there before and had a fine experience but this was definitely a letdown. read more

I went there for breakfast. I ordered the traditional and my husband ordered the chicken fried steak. Service was horrible, he was more interested in watching the games vs coming over and asking what we wanted. Food showed up, looked great! I mixed all of my food together. 1st bite, I lifted up my fork and it would go anywhere, as there was long hair in my food! Of course, that made my husband lose interest in his food. So, neither one of us ate the the food. Told the waiter, and he was so kind to give us 20% off of our food (I am being sarcastic) he knew full well that we didn't eat any of it. So I went here with some friends because someone said it was LGBTQIA+ friendly. The only nod I saw to that was some of the servers wearing rainbow logo shirts. Ok. Maybe not a gay bar but a gay adjacent bar? Fair enough. There did seem to be a good share of bearded, truck-bro types there, but whatever. Peeps wanna eat and drink. The space itself is roomy and seems clean. There are flatscreens on the walls for sportsball and all that. Anyway, the food was pretty standard fare for bar food, although I did love the cheese curds. Service, however, was kind of annoying. It reminded me of one of those hipster, specialty-liquor joints, where the staff makes you feel like you're inconveniencing them by even coming in, and even moreso when you ask questions. Not a great vibe, and more than a little disappointing. Nobody was outright rude, but it never felt welcoming. The night we were there, there was some party happening, and the live band was setting up a ton of amps and monitors. Our server told us that they were moving everyone to bar service only, that the waitstaff wasn't working during the party. OK, we're out, thank you, buh-bye. I might, possibly, MAYBE try this place again on a weeknight during the rainy winter doldrums here and see if things are different, but...don't hold your breath. read more

This place is exactly what Olympia needs. It is a modern, inviting, clean, hip, warm, and beautiful gathering space with amazing drinks! Due to covid there was a limited menu, not gonna lie, I was looking forward to trying their fish and chips and cheese curds advertised on their regular menu so I was a bit disappointed in small menu/choices. The burger and sweet potato fries I had were really good though. Nicole, the owner, stopped by our table to introduce herself and check on us. Super nice lady who knows her stuff. So nice to support a local in her business endeavors. Our server was not very friendly and seemed annoyed at times doing simple things like taking our order. She didn't know the menu real well but after a few lemon drops we didn't really care and just rolled with it. The lemon drops I had were delicious. Some of the bestI have ever had. They were tasty and strong. This will be my new gathering spot with friends. It has a super cool vibe and based on how busy it was, I think it will be one of the few bars to thrive in downtown. I fully agree with the comment by Sandra G: The place has a nice vibe but that is all immediately overshadowed by the extreme, rudeness and inattentiveness of the bartender/servers. I live in Florida and at first glance, I thought Nicole's Bar might be a great place to include in my article on "Top 5 Restaurants and Bars to Visit in Olympia" for work. However, the way in which I witnessed them treating two gentlemen sitting near me--one Black, another Hispanic-American (native English speaker)--was unacceptable. Despite the average customer traffic, the two men (who were not sitting together) seemed to be ignored to the point where I came to think they were staff on break. Meanwhile, the other customers (all White like me) were promptly being attended to. It wasn't until I heard one of these two men ask for his beer in a displeased tone that I realized he and the other were also customers! The second gentleman was escorted out (leaving peacefully) and I later learned this was prompted because he was on FaceTime with a friend showing him the place (a perfectly legal act). Seems to be true that the employees don't really like people they believe to be outsiders. Based on older reviews, apparently not much has changed with the staff in a year. Every time I've gone to Nicole's I've had wonderful service. The food is great and timely even on their busiest nights!

Why I will never be back: Sunday afternoon we stopped in for a couple of sandwiches and beers. After ordering the beer and sandwiches, the beer arrived shortly but the food took quite a while. No one else in the bar had food coming out, but we were about to go up to the bar to ask if our order had been submitted when the food arrived. My wife had the grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup. The soup was not even close to hot, so she took it back to the kitchen to warm it up. She then finished her sandwich and the soup had still not been returned. It finally came back and she asked that it be taken off the bill, since she had planned to eat the sandwich and soup together. I then held my credit card in the air for some time before someone came over and we reminded him that the bill should be adjusted for the soup fiasco. The bill came back and of the soup and sandwich item ($14), $1.40 was removed. We questioned that small discount when 1/2 of the dish had significant timely delivery problems. The server asked if we would like to talk to someone else and we did. Our original server, who we had not seen since he took the food order, argued with us on what we had experienced and his lack of ability to make any adjustments. As a result no tip and we will never return for the poor, cold food and atrocious customer service. You can be sure we will be sharing our experience with all our friends. As we left, one of the servers said "see you," and I replied that "no, you will never see us in here again." read more

The bar itself is very spacious and clean. There's plenty of room for larger groups and several couches to make yourself comfortable on. We tried an assortment of dishes, and overall they were very good, with the exception of a few duds. We thought it was pretty cool they don't serve alcohol from non-LGBTQ-friendly companies.
