Pretty much your standard local tavern with a clear emphasis on pool tables and those who like them. Comfy in a threadbare sort of way, we enjoyed a couple of fairly average burgers with fries as well as two tasty pints of beer, served by a friendly bartender who was kept very busy by an active clientele, at least half of whom were clearly regulars. Overall, nothing special or outstanding but, if you're thirsty and happen to stop by, you'll likely appreciate hanging with the locals for an hour or two. And, in a world of corporate-owned bars, it's nice to support a place that's still independent and has been around for decades. read more

Don't let the outside fool you. Spotless on the inside! We were there at a weird time - 3pm ish. One server/bartender, but she was really good. Pretty good beer selection - the standard offerings, plus quite a few Micros. We had Irish Death and Manny's. We had an order or gizzards and split a Philly cheesesteak and tots. The gizzards were pretty good, but not great. She forgot to put the tots in, so we ended up with fries. The fries were pretty good, but they were not tots! She offered to replace them but we just settled for the fries. The cheesesteak was supposed to come on a French roll. It showed up on white bread. Hmmmm. Really? It's a CHEESESTEAK! It tasted okay, but really not what we were expecting. So, maybe we'll stop in for a beer sometime. Likely wouldn't return for the food. read more

Me and my colleague arrived and immediately following inquired on pool table gaming with existing active pool player. We were met with clear racism, "fuck this chink" without any provoked behavior. It was immediately addressed for clarification/confirmation directly with the initiator. The initiator denied the act/words despite having 2 witnesses including myself as the closest/people who heard those words. It was addressed with the short dirty blond bartender and she laughed at the issue of racism. My and my colleague departed to avoid further conflict however, the bartender mentioned failed to address it with the instigator and continued to serve that person. Racism is not condoned my any business/establishment regardless. This establishment violates the EO policy which applies to every business. Legal action will soon to follow. read more

At least the last 3 times my husband and I have been there. That's what we were told by whoever was tending bar. This place is really fun & happening on weekend nights and event nights!! They do have dancing, Bingo on Wednesdays, A live DJ, Live Music. I mean. One Fri I went it was a younger crowd and the next time I went it was a mixture. I stopped in to have a burger and their homemade fries only to find out the management has changed. The fries were frozen instead of fresh and I have never had a mushroom burger with so few mushrooms. Also, the price hike was also unexpected. It was almost double from last time and lousy. The outside was cool due to the fact their heaters were on low to save money on Propane. When we turned it up a bit, we were scolded and told we should dress warmer. This place has good food and beer. Definitely a home grown restaurant. The main reason I didn't rate it a fifth star was because some asshole was yelling across the bar to have a conversation with another patron. Yes, got it, it's a bar. But the restaurant/bar as a whole shouldn't have to be subject to a nuisance like that and the staff should make an effort to recognize when someone has had too much to drink or way to keep the environment enjoyable for everyone. The theme is awesome, cedar interior. There is a moldy mildew smell that I couldn't get past, another reason for not rating a fifth star. Staffs weren't bad when I was there at night for some beer however when my friend and I went there during the lunch time for some burgers, there were several seniors and starring at us it was totally creepy and a staff behind the bar, she didn't even take our order and just walking around and messing with her cellphone. We went to the Cedar Inn with some of our neighbors from 'Jubilee' and it was great. They said it was rather like a 'dive bar', but we've been in 'dive bars' and didn't feel the Cedar Inn qualified as one at all...It's clean, with cedar paneling [thus the name, I guess !]. On Thursday nights, [when we went] they have a cowboy type guy singing and playing his guitar..which is very fun !! What impressed us, is they make amazing drinks !!- I had the best Cosmo ever and it was $6.00 !! The burgers and fries were little overcooked, [especially the fries !!], but it was very busy, and everyone wanting burgers, so we gave some slack to the amazing woman who owns the place, was making drinks plus taking orders and serving everyone...[she is pretty amazing !!]... We will definitely be back..and I can't wait to order another 'Cosmo' !! read more

Interesting characters that come into this bar. Service takes a while. The wait is up to 10-15 mins for a drink. The bartenders aren't attentive at all. They see you but they don't say anything until 5 mins past while you've been sitting at the bar waiting to order. Price for drinks are decent. They do serve big shots. Theres a smoking deck in the back which is nice. However you would I come back... probably not. It was literally down the road so we stopped by. Oh and the parking lot is horrendous.
