I love a good bar and grill that opens early in the morning. M to F, from 8 AM to 10 AM is the Early Bird Special or regular menu. Homemade biscuits and gravy always gets me... I've had their flap Jack's and they're good too. If the bartender is busy get your own coffee. Mugs are next to the coffee pot. Sit down and look at the menu, Early Bird orders must be to the cook by exactly 10 AM. Friendly bar regulars whom don't mind a back talking server. It's quite the place. Pool table, back patio, , take credit cards, I know at least Visa and MC. I hate to share cuz then you're gonna take my front parking spot. First time I've ever stopped into this place and I met a friend there so we sat and had a couple drinks and we ordered food. My steak bites were tender and juicy and just perfect. I am new in the area and wanted a place that has Karaoke. Karaoke starts at 9pm, so I definitely waited for the time before I went over. The staff were great and very professional! The food was delicious and the alcoholic drinks were strong and I definitely enjoyed it. I'm sure the Karaoke DJ worked hard to get everyone's song in, but I felt that it took too long in between Karaoke singers. I watched a bunch of people turn in their requests but there was always about a 3 minute intermission between singers. If Karaoke is the main event after 9pm, it should be one singer after the other in order to get as many people singing and enjoying themselves. Went in for a pint and gave my card to start a tab. Apparently most people who come here know each other because someone clearly didn't recognize me, and told the bartender that I was buying their drinks, so one beer landed me a $21 tab. To the manager's credit, they immediately reversed the two other beers. But between the original bartender not even checking with me and the general Wrong Turn atmosphere, this is a hard pass. Loved this bar until a friend of mine was banned because she had a fall out with guy who works security there. It had nothing to do with the bar nor did anything happen anywhere near the bar. Out of spite he talked owner into banning her over his personal issue outside of work. A large group of my friends find that to be unfair and messed up so we all will no longer be going there. I have been to The Viking Lounge only 4 times and let me tell you that the service is fantastic. Rainy, a bartender/server is especially sweet. I met another gal today that also works there, I believe her name is Becky? I'll feel horrible if I got her name wrong because she was so great to me! We chatted it up between customers and it was just all around a chill, good time. During my first 2 visits, Rainy even gave me $5 once so I could play some music on the jukebox since I had no cash. Totally sweet of her! It came out of her tip jar! Now that says something! I'll end by just saying this place is great, it's got that small town feel where there are regulars and newbies like me. I have been coming to this bar for about 5 years and it is always been a great experience. The bartenders are amazing they are friendly and they listen to you. The cool thing about it is the drinks are awesome price and extremely strong. I enjoy watching the karaoke and the dancing at the end of the night. I think that's one of my favorite things about the viking is all the line dancing that happens at midnight. Yes a place is a little dark but the atmosphere is fun. So if you're looking for a little fun bar where you can hear some karaoke get some bomb a** and some great food then come to the viking. read more

This place is my go to bar in Lacey. I love the karaoke every night. The drinks are cheap and taste great. I've never had food there so I can't speak on it. It can get a little busy after 9 on the weekend nights but service is still decent. I love the bartenders. Those ladies do a darn good job at taking care of you! I spotted the sign out front mentioning their chili dog, and I needed lunch. Easily the best chilli dog I've had in a long long time. Hand made by the owner, it's got a great kick of heat without being overwhelming. Well worth stopping in for!! Definitely a two star bar. Really dark and gross feeling. The only thing I liked about it was a smoking area outside you can bring your drinks to, so you can get some fresh air. I felt very unclean inside, drinks/beer were decently priced and I didn't trust the place enough to order food. I will probably come back again just for the drinks and watching people karaoke. However the food isn't something I'll like try. Customers seemed to all be regulars and already in their own cliques. Ordered a drink, it was sub par. Ordered food, it was good. Did karaoke and i don't know the system used to determine who does karaoke but it isn't in order of submission. The venue is just too large for it. So if you only want to come here for food, it is a pretty noisy place but is otherwise okay. I don't recommend drinks or karaoke which is the primary reason I went. The floors were pretty beat up and not well maintained, gum all over the ripped carpet, things like that. There is an outdoor section that i was none too interested in but it is there. Probably wont go back and friends agree. read more
