Cool spot. Idk how I have missed this place all these years, but finally stopped in. Saw some food trucks on the corner and decided to stop and try one for lunch. Decided that we could just eat our lunch over at Beerwerks. When we walked in there was not a soul insight. Started browsing and someone came upstairs from their storage area. Asked her if they did tastes (as other reviews have specified that they dont), and she said yes. We tried a few and decided on our pours. It was a bit cold and gloomy out and was told there was a fire pit out back. We did some walking around and saw that there are many little seating areas to hang out with your friends in. We decided on a covered seating area with a fire table. Couldnt get the first one to light, like the starter didnt work. Couldnt get the second one to work, may have been out of propane. We went inside and told her about not being able to get the fire going. She was like oh one needs a lighter and provided us with one. She also said they have blankets if we are cold. We were then able to go back out and start our fire and chill out a little while we ate our food. The food was not very good (from the smokehouse bbq truck)...but the beer was good and the fire was a nice touch. Lady behind the counter did not seem very engaging, or friendly. Maybe she was having a blah day. We plan on coming back--hopefully the weather will be nicer and we can pick a better food truck.

The outdoor seating definitely sold me. I like their endless options of wine and beer. I love that it is pet friendly and you can tell that the locals really appreciate this place.

Front counter of pure beer joy.

Best place to have a beer without all the noise from TVs. Clean and full of amazing beers and great customer service. Pet friendly with outdoor sitting and food cart's next door

30+ taps including delicious stouts and ciders, and dog friendly. Relaxed and friendly vibe.

Awesome ambiance and very dog friendly! The beer and cider selection were great, as were the outdoor fire pits. Our two dachshund puppies also enjoyed their visit

Want great Craft Beer? Head to Northwest Beerwerks in Olympia. It's located on Steele Street in between Pacific Ave & Martin Way, near the Martin Way Diner. What I Love: 1) Huge selection of craft beers on tap, 32 taps to be exact. 2) Great place to meet up with friends. 3) Friendly bartender that wants to find the right beer for you.

This place is pretty dope. Olympia/Lacey area could use a place like this for sure. Oly tap isnt too far away but competition is always good and more options is never a bad thing. They have a lot of seating and cool little areas to drink. They have excellent tap selection and my god some of their older barrel aged stuff is ridiculous. I saw a 2018 rusty nail. Almost bought it on the spot. I look forward to making more trips after upcoming Ultimate games. Also as an added note very dog friendly.

Just stopped by for a quick few beers tonight. I had the pineapple lime cider. It was great. I'm not much of regular beer drinker to let you know a lot of details. Front, inside and outback was clean and a friendly bubbly bartender. Just sitting at the bar we seen several regulars. No food but able to bring your food in. Normally a food truck is open outside but it was closed went we got there. Area located inside with 2 tables and games. Umbrella outside and it was a nice evening.

Nice stop in Olympia. They have a nice selection of local beers from around the state. It is located in a renovated house which is a cool idea, one I haven't seen before. Overall, it was a good stop I would stop by here again.

I've always driven by this place and wanted to stop. I finally went with a friend and now I've dubbed this as my favorite place to relax and chill. It is apparently there are "regulars" but people are friendly and chatty in this open seating concept. There are opportunities to share a table and get to know someone or grab an lawn chair and sit back and people watch. No food is served here, just wine and beer. The tap list is always different. There is a good truck next door but it's not always open. People bring theirs dogs, games and settle in for a relaxing time. Extra perk: state workers get a discount!

One of the sitting areas. Plenty of seating available.

Ask the Community - Northwest Beerwerks

Is this brewery family/kid friendly or 21+?

Good evening Ashley, we are not a brewery, but we are a craft taproom and therefore licensed as a tavern, so we are not allowed to have minors on site. Thanks for asking.

It was cold the day went but, if you get warm weather, try for their outdoor patio. I ordered the lemon rosemary hummus (delish) with gluten free crackers and it came out with lots of sliced veggies, olives and pickled carrots and onions. A great value! My main course was king salmon and it was perfect. I ordered a lemonade and was disappointed that the tall skinny glass it was served in was full to the top with ice, so there was very little left to drink. My husband enjoyed the Cesar salad he ordered, tasted like a traditional Cesar. He tried the special beef cheeks and found them to be very fatty and gelatinous. He wouldn't recommend them. They did have a N/A beer option he was happy about. Service was attentive and friendly.

Prices are high but the staff is so friendly and answered all of our questions and we stayed for hours and we were not kicked out. We had brunch which is different from their dinner menu. Ordered wine flights, biscuits and gravy, croissant sandwich, and drinks. For 3 of us we spent about $200. Parking is interesting i guess Sunday mornings it is free at all other times it is metered and you walk up a 2 story ramp. There is a Parking lot that does not belong to the bar. The waiter said you could park there (Sunday morning) but I didnt trust it.

Our waitress was nice and helpful recommending dishes (we couldn't make up our minds!) We ordered the pesto gnocchi to share. It was heavenly! Their bread was fresh out of the oven and the rosemary hummus was so good. Chicken piccata was very rich in flavor and the portion size was big. Strozzapreti alla Norcina was so good! Creamy and rich in flavor. Noodles were made in house. The cannoli was loaded. The amarena cherries were delightful Note to add: we showed up at almost 8 pm (closing time is 9) people were showing up around 8:45 and our host was ready to seat them. It was nice that they didn't have a dining cutoff like other restaurants. I noticed a lot of DoorDash orders, which again emphasized on the good food. Overall a great experience, great staff and entertainment. Great food. We will definitely be coming back to try the other dishes that peaked our interest.

While we made reservations in advance, it was not that busy. There was a lot of seating, and they can accommodate larger parties. Our waitress was friendly, and we did not wait long for our food. The food was good. I ordered a side of pasta and salad to go with the chicken parmesan because it felt like the dish was lacking without anything else. Today, I went in for the vegan eggnog and asked for the chef's choice vegan plate. I was served bland pasta noodles with mushrooms and a little spinach. How does vegan translate to no spicing? My mother is first generation Italian and I adapt half of her recipes to vegan. Oregano, rosemary, thyme... there are so many options. Vegan butter and cream are available but I understand an additional expense (not compared to what I paid for plain noodles with mushrooms). It seems clear to me the chef lacks imagination is cursed with writer's block when asked to cook for a vegan. I poured tapatio and black pepper over it for taste. I could have saved money and prepared a better authentic Italian dish myself. Vegan does not mean bland. My husband loved his brie mushroom omelet. Strongly recommend if you aren't vegan.

The "Seattle freeze" is definitely just a Seattle thing haha. I ordered the turkey pesto waffle sandwich with a side of loaded baked potato hash browns. The sandwich was not bad. I thought it was a bit on the drier side and could've use more pesto, but still good flavor. The waffle is gluten free but I really couldn't tell. A few people I went with got salads and those looked excellent and fresh too. The downsides were that it was pricey lunch in that there wasn't really a meal under $24 on the menu. Some of the sweet waffles that I would personally consider more of a snack were a little less though. And nothing came with a side I would expect, like hash browns with a breakfast dish for example. Also there were no inherently vegan options other than sides (you could order a salad without the cheese and bacon though). It was fun to try with a group but probably not somewhere I'd go again unless others really wanted to, but I could see it being a more frequent spot if you love waffles and are gluten free.
