I put that to the side and out came my taco salad in a stale fried tortilla shell. It wasn't freshly fried, I'm sure it's been sitting there. The beef wasn't seasoned well... idk it was just meh. It was like boiled not fried. Again, just couldn't enjoy it. The food was off. My friend had the flautas or taquitos appetizer. She didn't like hers either, It had a lot of guacamole on top of them and she said it had no flavor so she added salt, still didn't enjoy them. We should have listened when our friends told us it wasn't good and over priced at that. Lesson learned... What could improve is the menu. Maybe slim it down so you can make sure your dishes are quality. Get a chef that knows the difference between a soup = broth and over cooked stroganoff. And if Mexican food isn't your strong hold (cause this was definitely not authentic) then just don't bother trying. Don't pre fry your tortillas, they do pick up a stale flavor. Just don't make Mexican food, it's not your thing and that's ok.

Got the happy hour Caesar salad which is a good size for 1-2 people. Then we ordered the shrimp Diablo but they accidentally gave us the wrong one but said we could keep it. I didn't get the name of the dish but it was soooo good. It was shrimp and beef with the beef laying in a peppery creamy sauce on the bottom. Steak was cooked perfectly and so was the shrimp. Next we got the shrimp cocktail, amazing as well. Then we got the steak frites. It's a good size for 1-2 people for the happy hour menu. We ordered a medium rare, and we ordered another one medium. The sauce that comes with it was amazing. Overall, if you're looking for a good happy hour or a nice place for drinks, I highly recommend visiting. The parking lot was completely full, so after circling around and eventually finding street parking, we figured the place must be popular. Unfortunately, that turned out to be the high point of the experience. The main restaurant was fairly full, so we were seated in a large, dark bar area in the back. And then... nothing happened. For more than 30 minutes. Eventually, a waiter appeared and took our order. Then another 30+ minutes passed before the food arrived. Somehow, even our iced tea didn't make it to the table until the food did. All told, we spent roughly an hour sitting at an empty table without so much as a beverage, and about 90 minutes from the time we arrived until we actually had food in front of us. At that point, the whole experience was becoming almost comical. We ordered a cod burger with fries, a Caesar salad, onion rings and an iced tea. The cod burger was okay. Nothing memorable, but edible. The Caesar salad was actually good. The fries, however, arrived cold, soggy and thoroughly greasy -- quite an accomplishment considering how long we waited for them. The onion rings apparently embarked on a separate journey altogether, because they never arrived. By then, we'd lost the will to ask about them and just gave up. The grand total for one cod burger with cold fries, a small Caesar salad and an iced tea? $40.00! We mentioned the long wait, forgotten food and other problems to our waiter. He was sympathetic and explained that they were short staffed, which we understand can make things difficult. But being short staffed doesn't make a 90-minute lunch, no drinks for an hour, cold soggy fries and forgotten food any less disappointing -- especially at those prices. By the end, we weren't even angry. The whole thing had crossed over into comedy. Needless to say, on future drives between Oregon and Seattle, we'll be finding a different midway lunch stop.

Just a bit frustrating since I know Doordash charges more.. I also didn't want to place the order at the restaurant because I was so hungry and wanted to grab & go :( I was really craving pho and I liked their menu, so I took the chance and ordered both a regular-sized Meatball Pho (pho bo vien) and their Pho with Steak/Flank/Tendon/Fatty, which seems to be their "pho dac viet." On their menu, the price is listed as $15.99 for a Regular size and $17.99 for a Large. I paid $17.99 for each through Doordash for the regular-size, excluding the almost $4 of tax and bag fee.. Thankfully, I live nearby, so it was just a few minutes to drive over. It's in the same busy parking lot as Safeway and McDonald's but it's more on the opposite side, so I never realized it was in the same lot. Plenty of parking, at least. When I entered, the restaurant had plenty of seating but only a few tables occupied, which made me wonder why they didn't answer their phone.. I know I'm being petty over a few dollars but I just want to get bang for my buck. The inside looked nice and cozy, and I think would be a lovely place to enjoy a bowl of pho on an outcast/rainy day otherwise (if I didn't just want to go straight home lol). I was instantly greeted by a friendly employee that asked if I had a takeout order and escorted me over to a small table, where it was already neatly bagged and ready for me to retrieve. Now, the FOOD. I will say, it was absolutely delicious! Everything was organized and packaged well, so nothing spilled on the ride home. The pho was a good temperature: hot enough to cook the steak, but not overpowering enough to burn your mouth. The regular size still provides ample portions, so both my kiddo and I ate half for lunch, and our other half for dinner. I specifically asked for no beans sprouts with my order, so I do like that they provided enough for my son while still following my instructions. I am not too picky about my pho broth, but I can at least say, the broth here was not watered down. If anything, it might pack too much flavor and might deter some customers, but for me, it was savory and divine! I still had to add my obligatory hoisin and Sriracha sauces, so it might not be the healthiest, but i don't care, I slurped up everything! I usually post images of my food on social media [stories], and actually had a friend ask what the soup was because it looks really good. Some people have a finer palette for "good" Pho but for me, pho is pho as long as it is flavorful and there's a fair amount of MEAT! They offer moderate portions here so I can't complain, and everything was satisfying enough when eaten with the broth. 4 stars because they didn't answer the phone but my son and I devoured everything, so we can at least advocate that the pho is worth it! I'd recommend trying out this restaurant at least, especially if you consider yourself a pho connoisseur (or even a newbie to pho!).
