Lunchtime in Olympia while visiting the Capital can not be complete without a visit to place of Well Made Beer. The secret is simply in the water... goes without saying. The service by Charlene, was excellent and the decor is perfect. The Tator Tots as an appetizer came with four sauces. The rest are worth pictures but words of taste satisfying goodness are hard to describe.

The fried chicken was unfortunately very dry, and the breading wasn't adhered to the chicken. Im not sure if the wet ingredients in their batter lacked, but it was disappointing to see the chicken and the breading fall apart from each other. The waffles were made with touches of pearl sugar, which was a unique touch, but the waffle overall ended up being overly sweet. I did like how they use real maple syrup though. The Smashville chicken sandwich was slightly better in flavor in terms of a dish, though the chicken and their sandwich bread combination wasn't particularly memorable and the chicken wasn't crispy. The L.A. street-style tater tots had decent flavor from the sauces (like the gochujang) and pulled pork, but the dish felt heavy overall and could've benefited from more spice or acidity to brighten it up. My boyfriend have tried four different beers here and felt they were just okay -- none really stood out. On a positive note, our waitress was very nice and checked in on us throughout the meal.

Found this place on Yelp as since my kid moved to downtown Olympia there is so much to try when I visit and well, I like beer. We came here for lunch, found parking easily enough. Greeted quickly and sat quickly although it was not very busy. Began to look at the menu and our server was already there asking what we wanted to drink. Hadn't had a chance to scan the QR code for beer yet so....she came back a couple minutes later and we ordered our beers. Hadn't figured out our food yet though. I think this might have annoyed her. Am I the only one who needs just a few minutes of time to look over a menu at a place I've never been to? Do other people sometimes chat while seated before just diving right into things? We both ordered the black and blue burger and it was ok. We ordered the dill tots but there wasn't much dill to it. My beer was ok, my daughter said her cider was not her favorite. Then the check came and it was one of those pay while I watch you put in my tip deals. I personally feel panicked and pressured doing that and I end up feeling guilty that I tipped too little or too much. Then we sat there for a while to finish our beers and not be acknowledged anymore. I'm learning in Olympia that #1 I'm old. #2 everyone else is not old. #3 patience is definitely a virtue. Case of it's not you, it's me? I might be back at some point but it's not at the top of my list.

Must try there creamsicle drink sooo goood! We love the variety of seating! We want to try the Thursday frugal event sometime soon and Wednesday BINGO! I love their tomato soup, best Ive ever had! Brussel sprouts were drenched in sauce, a bit much but cooked well. A great spot!

Their happy hour goes into late and they were able to take in our large party when we couldnt find a place that night. The brussel sprouts are really good and so is their brewhouse salad! Our waitress, Rin (?), was extremely kind and made things so easy with splitting things between 9 people.

Every time I visit Olympia we come here. We are big fans of the appetizers specifically the Brussel sprouts. I've been 3 times once in 2022 and twice this year and they're always delicious. Sometimes they're extra crispy and I love them. Yesterday not as crispy but flavorful. Friday the soup of the day is the salmon chowder and it's fantastic with hot sauce and the garlic crostini and a Caesar salad. It's a big portion. We always have the same server and even though he has almost every table in the restaurant he still provides service with a smile and is funny!

I have visited many times and sat at the table near the fireplace during the winter. Others sat there with no issues. Now the first person to sit there gets the whole table! Even during the Mariners game with a large crowd. The same applies to the long bar tables with one or two people. I would understand if they were reserved but what snobbery! I will have to consider returning.

Came here for dinner on a Monday. They were busy but no wait. Sat on the couches. Got the seared ahi sandwich which had good flavor. Sides cost extra. Server was nice and ambiance was good. Friends had drinks, but they didn't have beer...Outdoor seating available. Street parking.

Always solid and the beer is always great. Happy hour is the reason we come and the big brewhouse salad never disappoints! The drive-in burger is the perfect size and this place's tots are the crispiest in the land. Super chill little brewhouse, we love the vibe and the fireside sofas to chill and have a drink. The service...however.:.it's a little slow: but hey, we're in the PNW - Patience Never Wanes

Impossible burger with caramelized onions. Tots. Red ale. Yum!!

The McMenamins down the street was packed but this place had plenty of seating and the food, beer, and vibe was just as good. The only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars is that they charge extra for the tots. Usually tots or fries come with a burger automatically. Plant based burger was delicious. Tots were hot and crispy. Nice variety of beers to choose from. Food came fast and service was great!

We were walking around downtown Olympia, brewery hopping and happened upon this place. We were greeted by the hostess and even after we told her we were going to the bar she still followed us and gave us menus (great hospitality!). The bartender was great and greeted us then gave us time to decide on what we wanted to drink. After a few minutes she came back and we ordered a flight of beer and some chili lime popcorn (popcorn is 80 cents!). The beers were good, popcorn was a great salty pairing for the beer and the service was fantastic.

Food was good, place was busy so it always took a while to get served but our server was polite!

Is there still a happy hour?

Yes 3-5. You can see their happy hour menu on their website.

Do you have outdoor seating and are dogs allowed?

They do have outdoor seating and I have seen dogs in the outdoor area.

    Are kids allowed?

Every time I've been there, there were kids. It's definitely a family friendly place. Pretty sure they just can't eat in the bar area.

How much is a typical sampler of 4 beers?

    Kombucha on tap?

Hi Karey, Not on tap, but we do have a few varieties in the bottle. Thanks for asking. Cheers!

Walking in we were greeted with friendliness and seated in an area that we liked. The hostess steered us to a talk that wasn't cold - since that was the one thing I mentioned. I hate being cold. :) I was lucky enough to order their cheeseburger from the happy hour menu. I think it is the same as the one on the regular menu. I had expected just a burger and was pleased to see it came with fries. Our server was prompt, helpful, and nice... the whole team was. The burger was a smash tyupe burger and I found the texture of the meat pleasing and tasty, just a bit of crust as some many people love on a smash burger. The condiments we fresh enough and had good flavor. When I say fresh enough I mean that the lettuce and onions didn't have a crunch to them, but they weren't mushy. Overall one of the better burgers so far. This venue would be good for anything from a family meal to some afterwork laughs or even a romantic dinner. The only reason it didn't get the fifth star is because of the condiments not being nice and crunchy. Solid place to eat and I would recommend.

On our way back north, we stopped by Mount Olympus Brewery. It was quite quiet, especially since it was a Sunday and not many people were there. We were just me and two other friends, so we decided to sit at the bar and have a few drinks. The place was fairly quiet, and they had a TV in the bar area, which was pretty cool. We ended up watching the NBA Finals game seven. The servers were amazing--down-to-earth, very personable, and they made us feel very welcome. Maybe because it wasn't that many people there, but anyway, I don't think that was an issue. There were great people there. They had plenty of options on draft and bottled/ canned , but I sampled two stouts on draft. The one that I liked the most was the Blood of Hades, which is a Barrel Aged Imperial Stout that aged for 12 months. I really enjoy the flavors of bourbon, char, and chocolate, hence the vanilla, and combined with bursting flavors of cinnamon, spice, and dark chocolate. It's by far earned its place in my top 5% of styles that I've drunk in multiple regions. I should definitely return here in the near future and indulge some more because this place seems pretty cool. It's very quiet and peaceful. I recommend coming to Mount Olympus Brewery if ever in Aberdeen.

The apps and drinks were well received aside from one of the mixed drinks that came down to preference and not execution. Unfortunately things took a turn after the apps. The specials were just "OK" with everyone at the table mostly finishing their meals but saying they wouldn't order again. I got the beef dip sandwich and it was pretty bad. The jus was more like a burned cornstarch slurry (it was thick AND broken). I sent it back and tried the sandwich on its own, only to find the beef dry and crumbly and the seasoning non existent. I ended up sending the whole thing back after 2 bites and based on everyone else's meal I decided to just skip and eat something at home. My meal was supposed to come with Cajun tots but they gave me regular. Whatever, that wasn't a big deal. The server was gracious enough to remove the item from our meal (which was around $240 before tip for 7 people). We asked about desserts (it's mother's day) but their special "mystery" dessert was 86'd, despite it being a holiday at 6:30. We said we would need a minute but the server must have had a break because we sat there for 10-15 minutes waiting to put in a dessert order and get our bill. The hostess area was devoid of staff and there was only one other server running another section. Finally a new server came up and we ordered a dessert to go and asked for our bill. I'll probably not come back, at least not the main floor area. I'm left kinda scratching my head about what this place has to offer that's worth the price beyond a "Millennial Quirky" atmosphere.
