Wasn't super impressed. First, it's basically a food truck with a bar attached. Don't expect fancy dining here. Oh and they have utensil dispensers if you need them. They do have an amazingly wide selection of dogs to choose from, and you can customize as well. Sides are extra. The fries were decent and the chili is pretty good. My wife's bun was very hard to being almost inedible, and mine was dry and tasted a little stale. The dogs themselves were OK, but nothing exceptional. Just not super impressed. Found this great spot at the bottom level of a new apartment complex near campus. Kid friendly areas inside with fun lego walls and free video games. The menu is surprisingly huge with a wide variety of specialty hot dogs & brats with every topping and sauce you can think of. Sides of mac-n-cheese, fries, chili, cole slaw, potato salad, they have it all! Plenty of options for everyone and kid menu, too. Spacious indoor and covered outdoor seating with fireplace and heat lamps. The food truck outside is the kitchen, order at the table, then pickup your order when buzzed. I feel like it's been too few places in the Olympia/Lacey area that I've really enjoyed much when it comes to a spot to have the fam, a good beer, and some good food. Pints ticks all the boxes. The restaurant is small, including bar seating, tables, and patio seating. LEGO walls, TVs, and some video games make it a great spot to bring the kids. They have an extensive selection of mostly hot dogs, from Seattle style to Chicago style to ones topped with macaroni and cheese and Doritos and even chicken tenders. You order the food at your table but do need to go outside to retrieve it when it's ready from the mobile kitchen outside. The staff has been genuinely helpful and friendly, and honestly seem happy to be there, which is a rarity in food service these days and much appreciated. I have one, and only one criticism of Pints, and it is this: the dogs have no snap. Great flavor, great buns, great toppings, but no snap. Same texture inside and out, which feels more like a hot dog I microwaved at home than one from a restaurant. Personally, I want a casing that makes a sound when I bite into it, a little resistance surrounding what is otherwise essentially a tube of pate. Save the soft dogs for the kids, or make it optional, but would love something more robust! That said, I love this place so much I bought one of their hats on my first visit, so obviously wiener texture isn't a deal breaker! read more

Over heard the cook complaining to the waiter that the grill wasn't working right and he was frustrated that he still needed to serve people bad food. The waiter said he already talked to the owner and the owner said he should just "deep fry" the hotdogs until they can shut down hours later. When we received our food it was cold and overcooked. The waiter was really rude about it and didn't even try to offer an apology. We come in pretty often and have never had an issue so it really sucks to hear how the owner really didn't seem to care about his establishment or his workers. read more

I got the Mac dog with a side of fries. The gentleman behind the bar I remember from my days at pints and quarts and I apologize for not remembering your name! He was so nice and attentive. I like Pints because their patio is great, dog friendly, they have a large menu of hot dogs, and they have that nuclear green relish that they serve in Chicago so this place is trying harder than other places. Some of the tables outside have firepits built in and they have plastic sheets that roll down so that they can keep the patio warm in the winter. The hot dogs are a little pricey (especially if you're used to getting a Costco dog and a Coke for $150), but just think of the high price as paying rent to hang out with your friends in a cool place. read more

Almost each one complains that the menu font is really too small to be accessible (readable by most), including me. I started with the Finn, the Chicago style. After a few visits, I realized I needed to start keeping track of each of th 22 dogs on the list that I tried. I am not like most Americans, sticking with just one thing. I need to try them all and keep enjoying them all. I started over going down the list alphabetically. I have favorites and other that I wonder why they are even on the list.
