great prices for pretty delicious empanadas The fillings could use more seasonings but the crust or outside part of the empanada was really good bread If you get their delicious lemonade- make sure you ask for very little ice or you will quickly run out of delicious drink read more

I really love this place. When my mom was in town, she ate here a couple times because the food is so spot on. Their delivery has been hit or miss in the past but it looks like they've worked out the kinks. I'm a big fan of the arepas. Crispy outside and soft inside, just perfect. That and a cup of caffe con leche on the weekends and I'm happy. read more

Had to lower down to 4 stars since you don't deliver to my place all of a sudden..I order from you guys a lot, why would you cut me off from your food **12/9 I order from this place A LOT, but they just lost my business. I put in an order, and after waiting an hour and a half, Grubhub tries to call them but no answer. I call and they pick up, the girl tells me that she can't get a hold of the driver and the food should be there soon. I wait ANOTHER 30 mins and call Grubhub and the rep tells me the order was marked as delivered! I live less than two miles away, and they COMPLETELY disregarded my order and now they won't pickup the phone!! If this is how you treat your customers who order from you, then you don't deserve to be in business. Shame on you and your staff!!! read more

This is probably the worst empanada I ever ate, the corn dough of the empanada is raw on the inside, their green hot sauce is bland and watered down. I don't recommend this place to anybody .... Food sucks for overpriced empanadas !! Only gets one star because there's no zero. read more

Empanada Loca - Horrible..raw - Empanadas Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

Awesome, can't wait to order again! I ordered 6 empanadas and although it took a while to show up, they were delicious! $25 was high but I'd do it again! Love the green sauce! read more

The Cuban sandwich was really good lots of flavor. A lot of different options for empanadas. We loved the pulled chicken my wife and I. The Colombian corn empanada is a nice addition as well. read more

Don't do it. They will not deliver, they will not make your order, they will put you on hold and put you on hold again. Just don't do it. Absolutely infuriating and completely abysmal customer service. Garbage and lies. read more

Wanted to love them. Night about 6 empanadas corn and wheat. Very very greasy. Saturated so that the flavours of the fillings didn't shine. Wanted to love this place. read more

They changed their menu they used to have more choices for arepas. I was really craving a pork belly arepa with cheese. And i was so sad to find out their menu changed. Tried some empanadas too and as someone else mentioned, the taste wasnt the same read more

Stopped by Empanada Loca on a Sunday afternoon to satisfy my craving for some delicious empanadas and was not disappointed. All together my friends and I ordered arrepas (one with mozzarella and one with Oaxaca cheese and pork), Empanadas (CC Melt, El Nino, Hawaiian, Medellin and Mama Mia), Yuca Frita, and a Cuban sandwich. Thoughts: Arrepa with Moazzarella - Perfectly crispy but a little bland/dry Arrepa with Oaxaca cheese & pork - delicious!!!! The pork was perfectly cooked, juicy and flavorful. Each bite married well with the oaxaca and I couldn't get enough! CC Melt - sooooo good! the sofrito brought the chicken to life with a nice punch of flavor and paired well with the gooey cheese El Nino - seafood was perfectly cooked and packed with flavor! finger licking good! Hawaiian - sweet and savory, well balanced and tasty Medellin - another hit, pork was juicy and mixed well with the cheese Mama Mia - meh. not bad but nothing to write home about Yuca Frita - nicely cubed and fried but lacking salt and overall flavor Cuban Sandwich - strangely no pork (only ham) and an overpowering, unexpected garlic flavor. bread wasn't crispy. overall a not so great attempt at a Cubano Service was friendly and fast, with a couple of nice recommendations and lots of smiles. The interior does not have much character but it is clean, doesn't reek of oil (after all, it is an empanada restaurant) and has a decent amount of seating. Overall the food and service were good - I'll be back for more delicious empanadas! read more

Came here on a cold Thursday night during the "polar vortex." Was greeted by friendly and warm staff. Had a few empanadas, lentil soup, maduros, and smoothie. Everything was delicious and affordable. A good spot for a quick bite. read more

I really wanted to fall in love with this place, but I was left wanting for flavor! My empanadas were oily which means the oil temperature was not regulated correctly. If you ever get the chance to eat empanadas in Queens try Emapandas del Parque you'll never taste an oily empananda. read more

I have never written a yelp review in my life and i always want to comment on when people do a good job but I am so upset. I ordered something and called twice only to be put on hold for one call and told on the second it was 15 minutes late. The food never arrived. I am very upset and like i said i dont want to write bad things about people read more

The most Loca thing about this place is that they regularly do not have several items on their menu. Do not go in there expecting to get most of the baked items they claim to have, or their specialty items. They are also understaffed so I waited 10 min to order take out while the single waitress handled the eat-in customers and some other guy stood there drinking his beverage. The food is average. read more

Empanada Loca delivered lunch today for my coworkers and I. I had the Medellin, Big Boy and La Nina empanadas and all were flavorful, cheap (at $3 each) and still hot on delivery. Very filling lunch at a good price. I can't comment on the place itself, but the food that I had was good (although I've never had empanadas until today, so I can't compare it to much else). Recommended! read more

My favorite go-to place. Super quick delivery and delicious food every time. The empanadas are some of the best in the neighborhood too!

I ordered the El Nino, Pernil and Andes. Delicous, savory, I would definetely order again! YUM!

I always wondered about this place when I saw it on Facebook. Well today I was driving and decided to stop in to try their famous Empanadas. I was not disappointed. When I walked into the restaurant, I received a warm greetings from Anthony. He not only had a great smile but was able to recommend some wonderful choices. I end up buying the corn, beef and potatoe and the whole wheat full of pork Empanadas. Thanks Anthony and Empanadas Loca, you know have a life long friend and customer, see you soon.n read more

Empanada Loca - Nice neighbourhood place to eat in or take out! - Empanadas Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

This is such a great place for something quick but savory. I've tried their empanadas, quesadillas, fried yuca and omg their milkshakes!! I can't have dairy but I don't mind the pain when it comes to their cheesy goodness and milkshakes. Their prices are also reasonable. Such a great little place. They are just a block away and idk if that's a good thing or not. read more

The empanadas are like crack I did not want them to end and I found myself picking up every last little crumb left on the plate. The milkshake was insanely good too. Friendly chill staff. read more

Omgg!!! The seafood empanada was amazing. The chicken one is great too. Will definitely order again soon.

For the longest time I was looking for a breakfast burrito on par with those I used to have while in school in Arizona, and Emapanada Loca was not as good as Arizona... it was 5 effing times better. IF YOU LIKE BREAKFAST BURRITOS, DO YOURSELF A SOLID... GET OVER TO EMAPANADA LOCA AND ORDER THE BACON BREAKFAST BURRITO (BACON IS EXTRA). What follows is a Hulk-sized forearm of a burrito full of egg, some of the tastiest rice & beans in Kings County, bacon, and delicious crema. Oh, it comes with tasty roasted potatoes that go excellent with the the sauces which all tasted better than the next. Combine all of that with lovely service, and I think I have a new spot that needs to be in my weekend brunch rotation. Plus, I loved their sweetened iced tea, and the wife's Tacu Tacu Caletendo is their most popular item and may be thought to be better than the burrito by lesser people, but I'll concede that it tasted out of this word #TreatYoSelf read more

Absolutely loved my take out order from Empanada Loca! Delivery came earlier than anticipated despite snow and every single dish was pure perfection (French toast, empanada, and arepa). The ingredients were so fresh, authentic, and delicious. Some of the best food I've had since moving to Brooklyn!! Highly recommend. Thank you, Empanada Loca! read more

I was really excited to try this place for a while but was slightly dissapointed. The breakfast quesadilla was very good and I enjoyed the El Nino empanada. However, the service was not very good. My boyfriend ordered a grilled cheese and whoever made it somehow forgot the cheese. The onion rings were slightly burnt and the "spicy" guac was not at all spicy. We ordered the jalapeño poppers which they ran out of so we didn't even get to try those. The wings were fine but nothing special. Overall, the place did not live up to my expectations. read more

Empanadas are good, but their delivery sucks. You should only order if you plan on waiting or not eating for a minimum of two hours because that's how long it takes for delivery. I just ordered through their app and after calling back twice because the food was taking long I was told my delivery was on the way. When I called a third time (over two hours after I placed my order) they finally told me that my order was never put in. Sucks because I do enjoy their empanadas, but I definitely won't be ordering from them again. read more

Recently had take out here for the first time and it was delicious! Only had empanadas and they were all amazing. I had the Andes empanada, chicken corn empanada and the banaza. I'm excited to come back to try more items on the menu and happy I stopped in for a quick bite. read more

WOW. Left a review about a week ago. the manager reached out to me offering two "free" empanadas if I stopped by in person. leaving bad reviews for free grub isn't my thing, 0so I paid (THE $15 MINIMUM) to give them another shot since I liked them in the past. Man, do I regret it? YES!!! HORRIBLE, BURNED, DISGISTING. I wish Empnada City was open later since they actually serve quality food. DO NOT ORDER, DO NOT ORDER, DO NOT ORDER!!!!!!! Do not reach out to me asking and pleading that my reviews mean anything when they dont. I left a review a week ago saying the oil was dirty and it's even WORSE! HORRIBLE. (I order food 3-5 times a week for the past 5 years and I have only left 5 bad reviews (when they are repulsive enough). Literally, never again read more

We were walking around looking for a breakfast all day joint, when we happened upon this place. Since I am gluten-free I was apprehensive that they'd have anything on the menu that I could eat, but it turns out they have some empanadas made with corn flour on the menu, in addition to the regular wheat ones. Awesome! So now I know what an empanada is like and it's delicious! I ordered one Arepa style with cucumber, mushrooms, green pepper, spinach, and shredded chicken, with chorizo and home fries on the side, and it was great! It came with three sauces on the side which were really flavorful. The lady server / proprietor was nice and helpful and also attentive to the customers. Oh yeah, and I also got a blackberry shake with soy milk which kicked ass. I really like this place and will make a point to come back next time I'm in town . read more

The food was absolutely horrendously disgusting. I got the grilled chicken with rice & beans & salad, a smoothie, and an empanada. The salad was put in the same tin as the chicken and rice & beans, which made the salad wilt and everything tasted like the extremely bitter dressing from the salad. I tried to mix everything to hide the taste and it made it worse. I couldn't eat it at all. The empanada filling was really sour and tasted like it was rotten. I had to spit it out and throw that away too. The smoothie was ok. But unfortunately this was close to $30 wasted. I literally would never order from here again. read more

Guacamole was delicious, nachos were good too, the Empanadas were "okay" but she messed up our order on them and we ordered rice and she forgot the rice . The Tommy came out two different ways, different color reds, the mole sauce was super strong in both. The El Niño was great ! Wish they had the filling as an actual soup ! The Billy and Medellion were good . It was decent priced, good lunch but wouldn't crave it again to need to go back. read more
