All of my empanadas were delicious, crispy and still warm despite arriving so late via Ubereats. I didn't want anything heavy so I opted for a few empanadas for dinner last night. My favorite was the chicken fajita empanada. It was bursting with flavors and the taste of the peppers with chicken and cheese were just so delicious as were the cheesesteak and Greek empanadas. It wasn't oily, it was nicely warm and crisp. Highly recommend if you have late night munchies or just want something to snack on and not a heavy meal. read more

It's basically a mama's empanadas with a different name. I forgot where I ordered from for a second when I clawed my way into the bag of food. Everything tasted pretty good because I was craving these empanadas. Of course they are not going to be as good as your location Spanish deli empanadas. The pink sauce is in little cups. They sent me 4 cups of sauce with four empanadas. I love the corn cheese, corn broccoli & cheese, wheat Greek and wheat pizza. Those are my go too foods. Cute little spot in my neighborhood. I tried a chicken one a couple of years ago wasn't really a fan. This time my husband wanted to try it. He ordered the Cuban one and the cheesesteak he raved about it. I again ordered the chicken and it wasn't great. It's bland. And growing up in a Hispanic household it's like you forgot to add sazon /adobo lol. Unfortunately, we didn't get pics as we were eating in the car. Customer service is great. I enjoy getting the empanadas from this chain. But this visit was underwhelming in the taste of the empanadas. The service was great the employee there was able to take the orders quickly and they cane out pretty fast too. There were a few people inside waiting for their orders. The empanadas i got are: Beef 5/5 was still delicious and they dont skimp on the fullness Pork/pernil 3.5/5 they taste for this was a bit different than what it normally tastes kike Bacon mac and cheese 4/5 gooey but the bacon didnt sit right. Ill get the regular mac and cheese next time. Chicharrón 4/5 this one is a new menu item. I was surprised at the taste it includes chicharrón rice and beans. I didnt like the taste of the beans much but the chicharron was good it had different cuts from the meats to the fats of the chicharrón which made it fun to eat. Guava and cheese 5/5 always love the guanva and cheese. Have to eat this right when it comes iut (or heat it up if its been some time) to get the cheese and the guava to melt into each other. If you can add a sprinkle of sugar on top of this empanada for more flavor. I got one of each for a total of $17 which is a little pricier compared to their queens location in which it would be $12-13 instead. Their proces here are about .50 cents more. Maybe it's me but rice and eggs are a comfort meal and it was really good here. I also got the chicken wheat empanada which was dry, don't recommend. Tostones are large and decent value for $6. Only complaint, sauce containers are very small and filled halfway, you need at least 2 or 3. Be prepared for wait at least 10 min, food seems made to order. Was hungry and looking for pizza on Easter Sunday but most pizzerias were closed. So gave The Empanada Spot a shot. They did not disappoint! Got the bandeja paisa and 3 empanadas for my wife and I for $30. It was plenty of food for us so I set aside some for lunch the next day. Pleasantly surprised at the fried pork rind, juicy and with enough meat on the skin. Steak was good too, not tough and chewy. I do t like fried eggs but my wife liked the sunny-side up egg. And the rice and beans was just like your Hispanic mama's home cooking. Fair deal for ~$20. The three empanadas were great too and came with spicy green sauce and mayo/ketchup. We tried the beef & chili and mozzarella ones. Cheese empanada was great, cheese was nice and doughy, with a slight acidic kick. Beef and chili wasn't too spicy but the sauce makes up for it. Left the beef empanada for tomorrow's lunch but I'm sure it'll be good. Overall, the place is an excellent, no-frills local eatery. Really good new spot! Got empanadas for the family the other day and we really enjoyed them! Even my 2.5 year old enjoyed the Philly cheesesteak flavor! So yum! The sweet plantains were really good. I thought I was being too harsh the first time I tried it so I gave it a second try, and genuinely nothing tasted good. The cheese tasted like glue and the tomato sauce was bland. I was browsing my Uber eats and ran across The Empanada Spot. I once had cheeseburger empanadas from Elite and I loved it. So, I decided to try it from here. I was really disappointed to find that within the empanada was just bland ground beef loaded with American cheese. No flavor no zest no essence of a cheese burger. I also ordered the philly cheese steak empanada and within that was a few strips of steak and once again LOADED with American cheese. No peppers or onions just strips of chewy steak and loads of cheese. Which honestly left a funny after taste. Maybe they have better tasting empanadas? Rounding up from a 3.5 because two of the three empanadas I tried were pretty good. I got the spicy chicken empanada, cheesesteak empanada and shrimp and crab empanada. Shrimp and crab was my least favorite, had a weird sweet taste and texture wasn't ideal. The cheesesteak was good but the quality of the meat could have been better. The spicy chicken was great, flavorful and well-balanced. It wasn't actually spicy, but it was delicious. The empanadas themselves were crispy and fried perfectly. A good spot to try if you're in the area and in the mood for some fried goodness, but stick with the more popular items. They're popular for a reason. read more

They were a 5 star rating until I went in today to purchase 2 empanadas in wheat flour for my daughter in law who is expecting and wanted them so bad, one chicken in corn flour, and 2 guava and cheese in wheat. When I got home what was supposed to be guava and cheese was only one and the other was pizza. When my daughter in law went to eat her empanadas one of them had a hair in it. I figured I would call and speak to them about what occurred since I have been going there regularly, upon speaking to Sonia and expressing the wrong order for the guava and cheese and the empanadas with the hair in it. She told me that was impossible and to bring the empanada back tomorrow when I come in for a replacement. She also mentioned if I don't bring it, it won't be replaced. So I proceeded to explain to her that I wasn't interested in a replace since I will no longer be visiting that location to purchase from them. Not only because of the error because that can happen in any business but more because of Sonia's response in disbelief that there was a hair in it, questioning my credibility. She goes on to ask what do I want her to do as if I expect her to deliver them.
