Delicious authentic Mexican food! I ordered the pancita and WOW I was blown away. It reminded me exactly of the one my mother used to make. My husband had the special of the day, Costillas en salsa verde. It was amazing! The meat was tender, just absolutely perfect. We also had the Quesabirria con Consomé and that was also delightful. Our toddlers were so happy with their sopes de frijol con queso and kept saying how tasty they were. The service was outstanding as well. The servers were friendly and attentive. I've found this place by mistake back in February 2025. I've been here probably close to a dozen times now. The place is pretty phenomenal to me. I never had anything bad from here. There are plenty of options on the menu. Also, not sure why but something always makes me feel good when I see a small business family oriented, it's obvious they are all family, with the kids always being around which is nice to see. I wouldn't say it's crazy expensive like most other places out of the area (bushwick & Williamsburg) but it also isn't the cheapest. But it is worth the money I promise. Personally my only gripe with the place would be, I wish they put the salsas in a bottle on the table to use. The little cups just aren't enough for me. I understand, that after Covid things changed but, if there was salsa in bottles this place would be unstoppable. 10/10 food, 10/10 service. They deserve the business. Came in for a late Thursday night meal, something simple and light, and Las Chilangas' food surpassed my expectation. I like the food here!!! Chips and salsa were complimentary. Tortilla chips are the same as the one that they use in the birria tacos, so they're on a thicker side. Crunchy, but slightly too hard. However, they work perfectly in the birria tacos that I had. Once you pick up the taco, beef doesn't fall out thanks to the mozz cheese. And the birria dipping sauce is just perfect with depth of flavors, savory and salty. Although I love to sip on soups, this is on a saltier side, best as dipping soup. I love that the tortillas are slightly chewy, crunchy even after dipping, and they hold the shape once fried. Great combination of flavors and texture. Birria Burrito was good, and I had a few bites. The rice inside has good flavor, and that's another great must-order if you want something more filling. I cannot wait to come back and try other regular tacos, definitely interested in their Taco Tuesdays! birria tacos are some of the best I've had in NYC. Great price. Great service. In an area that is full of awesome Mexican restaurants, this one really stands out. The food is incredible and Fernando, the manager, is awesome. We've spent a lot of time in Mexico and one of the best things about this restaurant is that they really know how to balance the different spices to create incredible flavors. The quality is really great. Fernando is also awesome. He is very knowledgeable about gluten free food and it's a great place to go if you have allergies. Also, we hadn't been for about 3 months between the first and second time we went, but without mentioning it again, he remembered from our previous visit that I had an allergy. They actually DO have pretty cute outdoor seating- so you can eat there even with the city restrictions. My boyfriend and I were not sure what to expect but the food really was great. The burrito was classic looking but done exactly right according to my guy. My nachos were beautiful and had a really great balance in ingredients, which in my experience is not always the case with nachos. The waiter was very helpful and offered us an absolutely delicious and creative desert at the end - on the house! Writing a review because it was an amazing deal for the amount of food, I got some al pastor and chorizo tacos and the plating was really nice but more than anything the service was so good! YAL... This place is A-MAZING!!! Like if I'm being honest, I meal prep nearly every week. Though, I come here like 3x a week. It never gets old!! It's so delicious and flavorful, and fresh. I feel like I should be their ambassador because every time I see someone looking at their menu on the window whether I'm passing by, carrying out, or dining in, I say GO IN! Fernando is part owner and is so wonderful. The Chefs are fantastic and I feel like it's my second home (or kitchen). My favorite is the Chicken De Masa (is a quesadilla). I've never had one like this (authentic, fresh bread, seasoned chicken) and I cannot get enough. I got my roommate hooked too. Her favorite (my second favorite) is the chicken sopas. This place gives you a hell of a portion size. Though, I don't often share. Today, I ordered the Sopa De Birria and after one bite I had to write a review. Guy at the front was super chill about my questions and gave us chips and delicious tomatillo salsa even tho my order was takeout , just so we'd have something to munch while the tacos were assembled. When the tacos arrived, they were perfection. Golden crispy truly lovely things covered in the perfect amount of topping (crema + lettuce + tomato) for only six bucks.
