This place is a good hole in the wall place for a quick bite to eat. Their prices are very affordable and if you dine in, you won't feel rushed. My friend and I ordered two things. The quesadilla here is Mexican style so you should expect it to be open and less melty but still be a bit toasted. The combo 1 is a great price! The portions here are huge! The taco was quite filling. The torta is crunchy. The chicken is a little dry but still has a little flavor. Al pastor had seasoning though I feel like there could have been more flavor. Its not my first time ordering delivery food from this place, maybe 10th time or more. The food is very good. I always get tacos and they have pretty good choices. My favorite is the al pastor with avocado, the shrimp tacos is good too. Ask for their sauces! Recently I had been ordering their burritos and the steak with mushroom with ad on avocado is my favorite. Such a great restaurant to eat at. I ordered the nachos and they were absolutely the best experience of eating nachos I've had in a VERY long time. They were artes in a way where you get a bite of EVERYTHING whenever you got a chip. I am someone who doesn't eat like crazy so the portion was perfect for me, and I'm grateful cause I hate when places give you an enormous portion and it just end up going to waste. I also want to mention the making service. Im sure it's a family operated business and the girl that attended me was very kind and calm. I feel like my review really deserves 3 stars, but I hate to not give room for improvement. I think I'm confused by this place because it's called "homemade" taqueria, but the tacos don't feel very "homey" and overall they sort of fell flat. The tortillas are store bought and doughy, the chicken taco was literally only chicken mixed with some onion bits and cilantro, extremely dry and unexciting. The mushroom tacos were ok, also just some mushroom and tortilla. It would be great if there was a bit more love in the food! All three items were delicious. I loved how big each one was. I literally can barely breathe because I ate so much, but at-least I'm happy!! This is definitely something you can share with someone if you aren't starving, but I was! The guacamole was also tasty, but you cannot alter it to make it spicy if you like. It's just a standard, not spicy, guac. They do have a sauce bar (I added a picture of it) which is self serve and is awesome because you can add these to your meal at no extra cost! Prices are very reasonable. Good portions, good sauces. That they have lengua tacos gets a thumbs up from me. No frills, not the best tacos you'll ever have but still better-than-just-good tacos. One of the best tacos places I've been to in queens. It's more of a hidden gem in Maspeth. I never venture out to this area but was around for a concert. We decided to eat in and order tacos and empanadas. I had the steak taco and spicy pork with onions and pineapples. It was so good and came in huge portions. The meat was cooked perfectly and charred just enough. They have a separate table with a lot of different toppings. There was cilantro, limes, guacamole salsa, salsa verde, pico de gallo, and onions. You can put on as much or whatever you like, no extra charge. I loved the guacamole and will def get nachos next time. This place is awesome. First, I went on Yelp looking for something to deliver to my new place that would be quick and not pizza, and came across Homemade Taqueria. After further research, turns out theres a few of these places all over, wish I had known before I left LIC! Anyway, estimated delivery time was like 35-45 minutes and this was at my place in 25 minutes tops. Huge points for that. No delivery fee, and min delivery was $10, winning in all areas. I ordered the Nortena Torta and my god it was amazing. So much flavor and such a good portion for $7.25. I actually only ate half and saved the other half for dinner. The cheese and bacon was perfect, the spice was just right. I was thoroughly impressed with this sandwich. Also, since I am a fry fiend, I ordered french fries and wasn't expecting much from a Mexican joint, but I was wrong. They weren't soggy, they were perfectly crisp and exactly as I like them. Glad to have found this place because now that we are in Maspeth, we will be ordering from here all of the time.
