My friends and I ended up eating here last minute. A really cute spot right on the corner with tables inside as well as outside, which is where we sat to enjoy the sunset. They were playing the World Cups on the TVs inside, but thankfully had the audio on the outdoor speakers, and we could watch through the glass windows. Service took a bit to come out and give us waters, menus and drinks. My friend ordered a Strawberry Lemonade which she found too artificial tasting, but the Modelos my boyfriend ordered hit the spot. You get a small basket of chips and what tasted like jarred Tostitos salsa to start. While I wasn't a fan of this at all, the Super Nacho Macho was fantastic! A healthy mix of all toppings, plus we added delicious carne asada meat on top. Sharing would have been perfect with this, but we weren't given small plates so my friends kept dropping food on the table, and sometimes on their pants since the outside tables were slats of wood. I still think this was a great starter. For our mains, I ordered a chorizo taco, my partner had his very first torta (Chicken à la Milanesa), and my friends ordered an Al Pastor enchilada, a chicken tostada, and a fish taco. We also ordered a plate of plain fries that were soo good. The kind that are somewhat thin and all crispy and perfectly salted mmmm. My taco was proper and perfect. They didn't skimp on any ingredients. We were also really impressed with the torta, especially how tasty and fresh the bread tasted. While the service wasn't the best, it seemed like there was only one guy running front of house, and the food made up for it. The ambiance itself was really cute too! As I always say, hole in the wall Mexican spots are the best. I've been here twice, and have gotten the same dish both times. The quesadilla is everything you want in the staple Mexican appetizer--cheesy, greasy, and oozing out of a flour tortilla. First time I ordered it with carnitas, second time with guacamole. My taste buds were on fire! You get started with a complimentary basket of chips and salsa. Don't skip on the dipping sauces; I got the Chipotle mayo for my quesadilla and it hit the spot! My friend kept asking me for translations to all the Spanish words on the wall, some of which are totally made up by the restaurant for aesthetic purposes. Also, Chavo del Ocho and Chesperito play on the TV from time to time--a blast from the past from my childhood eating homemade Mexican food made by my grandma. I came across Nacho Macho Taco & yelp'd it real quick & the burritos looked HUGE so I went for it and ordered a chicken burrito. Service was quick, kind, and accommodating. Started off with Chips and salsa, with hints of chipotle and a punch of cilantro. Perfect consistency, not watery whatsoever. Would buy a gallon of it if I could. Pink lemonade: tangy, sweet, fresh Loaded fries w/ chicken: perfectly balanced. My wife and I ordered delivery after seeing all the great reviews. Delivery was fast but overall, the food didn't hit the mark for us. We tried the grilled chicken, steak, chicken tinga, shrimp, and fish tacos. The portions were filling, but most of the tacos just lacked flavor. The tinga taco, in particular, we didn't finish--we didn't enjoy the taste and felt like it would lead to heartburn. It's surprising how much we didn't enjoy the meal considering how well-reviewed this place is. They were cold, lacked cheese and had bits of Spanish rice in them. It made feel like the chips were reused or if the nachos had been sitting out. I've ordered from the location in parkslope and received better quality food. For $25 nachos this location should take their time assembling the nachos and ensure they're fresh. Well after passing this place several times and reading several reviews I decided to give this place a try and I am glad that I did. My friend and I were in the mood for Mexican food and with the over abundance of spots in Bushwick and the surrounding area it's hard to make a choice. We ordered the carne asada quesadilla and the grilled chicken burrito and both were delicious. The portions were great and we even loved the salsa that came with the chips. I've ate at this location for over a year and every time I seem to make an order the workers are rude and condescending. After trying to give them grace and support local restaurants I have finally decided I WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN!!! Simply asked to modify my order and not only did the worker argue you me down about asking for something on the side I came in to pick up my order and the worker proceeded to argue with me about simply putting my chips on the side and told me he would do it next time. Ordered a carne asada quesadilla and some chips and guac for delivery. The quesadilla was huge! I could barely get through half of it and was really impressed with the generous portion. The carne asada was full of flavor and very tender. I loved how small the pieces were cut up and mixed in with sautéed onions and jalapeños. The tortilla had nice grill marks on the edges which gave it the perfect chew! The guacamole was a perfect blend of smooth and chunky - with cilantro and tomato blended in. Normally I would rate a restaurant on their food or service but in this instance I ordered through Uber eats my food came sealed and stapled shut when I opened my food I didn't need to taste the food to rate it. Upon opening my carnitas tacos I saw something oddly colored and upon further inspection a FINGER TIP OF A RUBBER GLOVE was in my taco! During these times of COVID-19 this is absolutely and utterly disgusting to see in food. That showed me a lack of care or preparation for a customers food. I'm a first responder if I was to Contract COVID-19 I wouldn't think it would be from delivery tacos. Not what you would expect as the pineapple was integrated within the taco, vs sliced on top. They also add salsa verde and give you salsa roja in a commercial package on the side, instead of letting you pick and also instead of one made fresh/ in-house. I usually do my work lunch orders with their prospect heights location and everything always comes right, fresh and under 40mins. Note: the guacamole at prospect heights has never came spicy; that's usually something you request. I ordered a chicken burrito, large guacamole and chips ($10) and large pico and sour cream. The guacamole was inedible as it was so spicy i couldn't eat it! it also had the largest chopped onions ever, like i've never had it made with onions that big. it was trash and more onions than avocado. i kept it in case they wanted to come back and get it to remake it; which didn't happen. Also, UBEREATS IS TRASH!! They basically told me they can't do anything about the food being inedible and they hold all the power, the restaurant won't do anything without UBEREATS approving it. I called and tried. I'm pissed, because the burrito was my roommates and my dinner was the guacamole and pico. Also, the pico was made bad, it was just a thing of large diced tomatoes, i guess they put all the onions in the guacamole. no cilantro or lemon juice. Stopped by here for a late quick bite after going to an escape room nearby. It's a small narrow place but surprisingly fits a group of up to 6 in a table (as long as there's seats). I got a bowl and ngl it was pretty good or maybe I was hungry but I enjoyed the food. I got the three taco combo and they def don't skimp on the taco fillings...to the point the tacos can rip so careful! It was veryyy filling even though it was only 3. They also have goooood nachos so check that out when u go too. Only negative thing I remember is the water. They give free water but it def tastes like straight up tap water with lemon. They're always early / fast with delivery, however I live nearby so perhaps that influences transit time. The nachos are the best bang for your buck. I've only ordered from here once (and it was great) so there is potential to change this to 5 stars. My girlfriend and I ordered from here to satisfy our cravings. The food was delivered within 30-40 minutes. We opened up the package and the food looked amazing (sorry we were too hungry for me to even take pictures - I'll add them whenever we order out from Nacho Macho again)! The tortillas were corn, not flour. The carne asada was delicious and packed with flavor. I had the burrito and it was STUFFED! Buffalo chicken, pico de gallo, lettuce, beans, rice....in other words: happiness. I couldn't finish it so my girlfriend had the rest - safe to say she also enjoyed it (I would recommend it, especially if you like buffalo chicken). Lastly, the sweet platains. MY FAVORITE PART. They were cooked perfectly as they melted in our mouths. It was paired with this sweet cheese and cinammon sauce that tasted like a churro-cinnamon-bun hybrid. I've been to or ordered take out from Nacho Macho a hand full of times. I've enjoyed the food more times than I've disliked it. This Bushwick location is pretty cool so I decided to dine in on a Tuesday night. Seemed like I was the first customer of the night but others rolled in not too long after. I ordered 2 grilled fish tacos with guacamole and a side of plantains. Last time I had the fish tacos I disliked them... this time they were actually yummy. I also enjoyed the plantain but didn't expect the powdered sugar or creamy sauce that came with them as it wasn't listed. Overall the food was good but their service could've been much better. I had three different servers and they each seemed as if they were just rushing to serve me. So idk if I'll dine in again but might order take out again for tacos. read more
