VEGANS BEWARE: I ordered from here via uber eats and was super excited to see what was advertised as an extensive vegan menu. I ordered what was labeled as the "VEGAN Chorizo Quesadilla" and in the notes I specified that it should be vegan and also added vegan sour cream. When I received my order, I began to eat it and felt like something was off. I asked my non vegan friend to try it and get her opinion, and her words were "this is either really good vegan cheese or really bad real cheese." It ended up being the former. I was pretty upset as I have been vegan for 5 years now and experience some notable consequences if I ingest dairy. I called and the woman who answered the phone was very nice and understanding and agreed with me in that the way it is listed suggests that the cheese too would be vegan. She mentioned that she had to speak with her manager and would call me back. Once she called back, her tune completely changed. I was not upset at her as I know she was just doing her job and parroting her manager; however, she (her manager) was now saying that because there is an option on uber eats to sub vegan cheese, I should have known and selected that option, and b/c of that, there was nothing they could re: WOULD do to compensate me. It's worth nothing that while I did see the "vegan cheese add on," it was listed there for an ADDITIONAL up charge. This "VEGAN chorizo quesadilla" was already more expensive than all the others; therefore, I also assumed it was already prepared with vegan cheese and that this was more of a format issue from uber eats. All of that to say, be careful when ordering online, and it may be worth their while to reconsider the way they list this specific item because the current listing is misleading. I personally will never order from them again, mostly bc the manager refused to provide any recourse and also made their employee do the dirty work of communicating that. read more

I really wanted to love this place because I see that they have so much potential but so much went wrong in one order. First, my delivery was late. It was due to arrive between 8:15pm-8:25pm. My order arrived at 9:00pm. Okay, no biggie. I don't mind waiting for an hour or so. The delivery driver calls me and tell me he's at another location not nearby. I proceed to tell him I'm not walking all the way out there to get my order. I explain to him where to go and he drives around for a while and calls me back to meet me midway up the street. That's also fine with me. I'm an understanding person so I wasn't aggravated at all. I forgot to tip him and I felt so bad, but the run around with phone calls threw me off and he refused to come back for the tip. Moving along the food was not what I expected. I asked for no poblano peppers in my corn and I got a ton of poblano peppers. The corn had some sort of spicy cheese sauce on top and it was a huge turn off and super expensive for a very small order. The Carnita taco was good but the pork is not braised it's more like chunks which is also a turn off for me. The burrito bowl was very good. The rice inside of the burrito bowl had long grain rice which was weird to me because I associate long grain rice with Halal food. Overall the experience and the food was not to my expectations. I recently ordered food from the BK Taco Factory for delivery. Food prep took some time, and that's not a complaint but the delivery was fast. I expect to fresh food to take longer in its preparation, and what I received was almost inhaled. Yes, I was hungry, but am a slow eater and I gobbled down the first half of my shrimp torta. Once I calmed down, I savored the second half, in order to decide if I really liked it lol. Not my little one though. Tutti didn't like the sogginess of her cheese quesadilla, but loved the churros and devoured them without breathing. She has very discerning taste buds for a teenage picky eater, but after she swallowed the last bite of her churros, she exclaimed, "These are great!" I ordered here via Grubhub and I was happy with the service. Now in terms of the food. The pros: Food was neatly packed. No spillage and it's an abundance. I ordered 4 tacos thinking I was gonna get a rinky dink taco with just a little filling. Absolutely NOT!!! They filled that tortilla and after eating just 1 1/2, I was full. (I left my other tacos for lunch the next day) The chorizo burrito my husband ate was wrapped beautifully and had a nice sear to it. The cons. It really lacked flavor. (I'm still trying to wrap my head around that one) If they would have been a little bit bolder with the spices and added just a touch of salt they would have knocked it out of the park. As a Fellow Latina, you know flavor is what makes it authentic. Which is why I took off two stars. Sabor is everything!! Other than that I'm willing to try this place again. Great spot. Love the ambiance. Delicious vegan options. My only problem was the shortage of staff. Had 1 guy in front taking walk-in, phone and Uber Eats orders, bringing food out/back.. I commend him for keeping his composure and positive energy under pressure. But it took a lot of time away from enjoying my meal with having to wait 2-5 minutes for every little thing I needed. BK Taco factory is a relatively new spot that only opened up like a year ago. Kudos to them for being able to survive during the pandemic, especially in a neighborhood with so many great taco places. Is this the most authentic taco place in Bushwick? No. But do they still have excellent food? Yes. The service is fast and friendly, and the prices are pretty reasonable as well. I was surprised at how many gluten free options they had. My go-to is the shrimp tacos that come with this great chipotle drizzle. You can order from them on the delivery apps, so it's very convenient. Would definitely recommend! read more
