two plates of tacos on a table

Surprised this spot doesn't have more good reviews, I'd recommend coming by this taco spot after grabbing drinks and listening to the live music at Terraza 7 down the street. You can stand at the counter and eat if there's space or get it to go. I got the al pastor, lengua tacos, and a horchata. Ricisima

I happened to pass by and without knowing anything about it, I decided to give it a try. This neighborhood has no shortage of Mexican food places but this counter was happening. Standing there transports you to Mexico or LA; one gets a feel of a different place. The ladies behind the counter warmly greet you in Spanish. After listening to me order in broken Spanish, one lady kindly replied to me in English and confirmed my order. The food comes served with a bottle of green salsa straight from the fridge. Everything is clean and orderly. I enjoyed the avocado sauce hidden under the foil, which was also cold from the ice it is on. I enjoyed the food and ambiance. This place is an overlooked gem!

Carnitas burrito was saved by their delicious green hot sauce. My vegan girlfriend got a avacado salad, rice and beans. She picked out the cheese. We were nourished. The music is so loud, you can't hear the T except between songs. I'm not a big fan of having the radio and the TV on. Walking along Broadway, we saw 2 more versions of this restaurant.

All their locations have pretty good ratings so I can't really go wrong. Came around 11am on a weekend and it was busy but there were tables available. The tables are arranged pretty strategically to fit as many as possible, which isn't the best for comfort. The service is nice here. The menu is in Spanish but they do have an English menu if you scan a QR code. I ordered the craken taco, costra taco, verde aguachile mixtos, a half dozen grilled shrimps, a la exotica, and guac with fried octopus. Everything was delicious! This place did not disappoint. Although, next time I'd probably skip the Craken taco and verde aguachile even though these two are a top recommendation. My favorite dish was probably the grilled shrimp. The way they grill it really brings out the sweetness and flavor of the shrimp. I personally enjoyed the la exotica more than the aguachile. The guac was also really good and the fried octopus was a good addition. I will definitely go to their other locations. This is a must try for seafood lovers.

Position are a bit small for a whole in the wall like this and prices are high especially on the tacos but that's because the quality seems really good and fresh and effort put into it. I will definitely try to come back And come early no reservations have to wait in lines cold or warm you will have to. Maybe they should open another spot or expand but that's their business .

Soft, flavorful masa and generous filling. I also tried tacos and a quesadilla, and everything tasted homemade and well seasoned. You can tell they know what they're doing here. Having never tried tamales before, I was pretty eager (thanks to her positive comments). We sampled both the adobo ($2) and birria ($2.5) tamales, and they were absolutely amazing. Personally, I found the adobo tamale to be slightly better in terms of flavor but both were equally well made with its rich, flavorful seasoning. My sister, who has tried tamales before, mentioned that these were even better than the ones she got from the random tamale table (near Woodside), thanks to the diverse flavor options available and how fresh they came out. The customer service here was exceptional. A friendly lady approached us, handed us menus, and took our order with a warm smile. Even though tipping isn't required, their service went above and beyond, making us feel genuinely welcome. We also couldn't resist trying the birria taco ($4), which arrived piping HOT. It was generously stuffed with birria, making it a hearty and satisfying choice. While it was a tad salty for my taste, my sisters thoroughly enjoyed it and had no complaints. Our total order came out to a little less than $10 for three people, which was perfect for a light snack before heading home for our protein dinner (get that protein intake in! EEEEEEEEEE)

Located underneath the subway lines and is just a grill on the sidewalk, they have a little table/seating area and has a unique menu. I ordered the Tlayuda, which is like an Oaxacan pizza(?). Set on top of a large and crispy tortilla, it's coated with beans, cheese, tomatoes, avocado and an assortment of different meats like grilled steak, ground pork, and grilled pork. It was really tasty and I loved the crisp tortilla underneath. Definitely a dish to share because it's huuuuuge. Cash only!

Food: Tacos 4/5…read moreTacos were outstanding. The meat was tender with juicy flavors. The tortilla tasted fresh w the cilantro and onions. The so called "guacamole" they had on top was very watery didn't have flavor and shouldn't have been placed on top of the tacos. The tacos taste good without it. Additionally, the radish wasn't cut well. Tostada 3/5 The chicken wasn't seasoned well, it was moist and not dry. There was too much lettuce on it, and it contributed to it being unseasoned. Guacamole and chips 0/5 Watery guacamole, it looked more like a salsa than guacamole. One can't even taste the supposedly "guacamole." It's not even seasoned well, it was watery green mush. The chips were too deep fried , so it was difficult to chew and hurt my teeth. AVOID getting this Horchata 5/5: Tasted fresh and homemade. It was not sweet at all, and happy there was less ice because the drink was cold without the ice. Service 3/5 The lady was rude about explaining the different options for the regular guacamole versus the premium, which wasn't specific on the menu. One girl working the floor so had to wave to her twice or more to get her undivided attention. Ambiance 3/5 Restaurant isn't fantasy, no decor. It's simple. They had a soccer game on, and it was nice that other people were also rooting for the same team. Side note: -it's authentic Mexican tacos for a really amazing price

First of all, the staff barely knows English and that created a language barrier. I ordered a beet juice and a Plain Quesadilla. The beet juice was room temperature and bitter, so I asked them to exchange it for a Fruit Punch Jarritos instead. When I received my Plain Quesadilla it had beans on top, the tortilla was hard, and the lettuce and tomato on the side. Inside, the cheese was not melted and there was zero flavor. My friend ordered orange juice and it was also room temperature and tasted like banana. She also ordered 3 Chicken tacos that lacked flavor as well. The only thing that made my quesadilla kinda edible was the green spicy sauce.

Menu online is outdated but they adjusted the prices in house with a pen.
