Be careful. I really enjoyed this place at first. They have crispy tortilla chips and flautas. I always get the pollo flautas and they're always tasty. Their service is quick via uber eats. However, the first time i ate here I ordered the bistek burrito and something tasted off with the meat like it was spoiled. I ended up getting sick from it but continued to eat here. I came back and got tacos, chips and guacamole, and the bistek burrito again. The steak tasted spoiked again and I woke up with food poisoning. I really enjoyed this place but it is too risky. I want to start off by saying I know they can do better than this. I was extremely disappointed and I can't believe the outcome of the food I received. My 2 stars are solely for the purpose of great and timely delivery via Ubereats only. The food was NOT good. My "Carnitas" were chunks of pork and taste rotten so I tossed my taco out. I hope I don't get sick from the big bite I took. I thoroughly smelled through the meat after consuming the big bite and it was not smelling right at all. My chicken Flautas were fried so hard it was inedible. I felt like my teeth were going to fall out when I took my bite. I had to trash majority of my food and that is so disappointing. I also ordered Pico De Gallo that was 99% jalapeño and onion only with NO tomatoes! Why would they pack someone an order of chopped jalapeño with onions and call it Pico de Gallo is beyond me? The side of sour cream was a tiny container for $1. Overall it was all just horrible. I really hate leaving negative reviews but I just couldn't find the good in this at all. I really did try. Food was amazing as always. Came out on time and was very tasty. Service was even better, as upon telling a staff member that someone had their dog on the table, the manager on duty took swift action to tell them to take their dog off the table and also told them that it was unsanitary. Looks like many of the bad reviews are due to take-out issues. We ate our tacos in the clean, pleasant dining room. Chicken and pork tacos were highest quality, fresh and tasty. The meat was wonderfully crispy, and the red and green sauces on the table were the perfect accompaniment. When you have nothing but lousy tacos in your 'hood like I do, then you really appreciate the good ones! The icing on the cake was the very pleasant service and great prices. Leo's has full flavored authentic food. I ordered a chicken quesadilla and I thought it would be chicken, cheddar cheese and a tortilla. Their quesadillas have fresh vegetables along with the chicken and they don't use cheddar cheese. It makes for a DELICIOUS quesadilla. I've only ordered quesadillas, they're good. Conflicted here. The beef tostada was amazing. Absolutely amazing. Had so much lettuce and tomato and cheese and tasty stuff on it even pineapple. The burrito was awful. Just dry rice, raw onions and chicken. Sooooo much raw onion!!! I kept getting big mouthfuls of dry rice and raw onion. I asked for mild salsa but I guess it doesn't exist. The salsa they gave me burned my mouth off. There was jalapeño in the burrito as well. But so dry and the salsa was too spicy for me to use. Bummer. I guess if I order again I have to stick to the tostadas but it's a bummer because I love burritos - def can't get a burrito from this place again. How I wish it had cheese sour cream pico de Gallo, anything to make it less dry and not just all onion! read more

If you are coming here to base your take out decision based on reviews, PLEASE HEED THIS WARNING. Take your business elsewhere. This is a crappy establishment with crappy food and even crappier customer service. Reviews on seamless were mixed, and choices have been slim lately, my go-to Mexican restaurants have all closed. I had Leos once when I first moved into this part of Brooklyn and never had it again. I should've stuck with that. I placed an order at 10:29PM. It was set to arrive 10:55-11:15PM. I mean they're literally less than 10 minutes from me. At 11:30 I called the restaurant. A nasty ass girl picked up the phone, I asked her if my order had left. She said it had. About 15 minutes later I get a call. I specifically stated on my delivery instructions not to call me, to just buzz my apt number and I'd meet them halfway. Still, he decided to call and say my order was downstairs. I did not opt for contact free delivery because they leave your stuff in the lobby and just walk away, there is no rule from seamless that says drivers aren't allowed inside the building. Yet, that's what he tried claiming. I politely told him that my order was very late, I left a tip for him and on top of that there was no rule that stated he couldn't come up. He told me to cancel my order and hung up on me. I called the restaurant back and told the same girl the situation. She ALSO tried claiming that the rules were set in place by the "company" I ordered from, and when I proved her wrong she put me on hold to speak with her boss I assume. I speak Spanish fluently, I heard her say to him that the driver was just refusing to come up. It had nothing to do with imaginary rules or even precaution. Then about five minutes later she just hung up on me. All the while mind you, I was literally watching the guy on camera sitting in his car on his phone. I had to leave my apartment and what I was doing to go all the way downstairs and the guy was a smug asshole. When I called the restaurant back and asked if hanging up on customers was protocol she laughed and pretended like she didn't know who I was. I can tell she's clearly miserable and so is the lazy POS who "delivered" my food. I don't have this problem with any other restaurant in the neighborhood, I order often, always tip and am considerate of the drivers. I never make them come all the way upstairs either, I ALWAYS meet them halfway. The way they handled this issue is clearly how they handle everything else because it shows in reviews. I'm sure they thought they got one over on me too, jokes on them because I got the tip redacted and a full refund, lol. I won't be ordering from here again, you want good Mexican with good service? The food here is good, but the cactus is breathtaking and the beans are on par with the beans back home in San Antonio. It is the first place I've found in NYC that makes Mexican food that I would eat in Texas. (Most is close enough because I don't have good places. This place is on par with the stuff down South.) The people here are also like what I'm used to down South: Incredibly pleasant, sweet people who make you feel at home. Words can't even explain how repulsed I am at this restaurant. I don't know why a human being would try to feed another human something I couldn't even feed to my dog. I got a lengua taco it was soooooo overcooked that it was literally hard. Hard like a rock. If I gave it to my dog she would choke. Next I got a fish taco. Was swimming in a tortilla because there was hardly any ingredients in it. The fish was completely unseasoned. I tried feeding it to my dog but the pieces were like crumbs it was hard picking it up without it just dropping it all over the floor. Lastly I got an al pastor burrito. The meat portion was very small, the rest was just rice jam packed in it. So really I got a rice burrito with a sprinkle of meat in it. I would of been ok with that since I was soooo hungry. Since I wasn't able to eat my first two items. But no, the rice was going BAD. I mean I can taste the bacteria, mold or what ever rice starts to do when it starts going bad from sitting in the fridge or table too long. I picked the meat off and just had a few bites of that but then I gave up because I was seriously afraid I'd get food poisoning. After a 12 hour shift, starving, this is the food I got. We happened in after hanging out next door at Three Diamond Door and ordered Al Pastor and Chicken tacos, beans and rice, and a tostada (chorizo?) all of it was delicious. Even the rice and beans were hard to put down and of course they freshly fry their own tortilla chips to top it off. Leo's restaurant is like the fuzzy sock I found under my kitchen table. It was such a comfortable, nice surprise. And I'm not sure how clean it was. I'm so happy I found this sock. I've been looking for this sock my entire life. The meat quality is superb, the drink selection is actually what I hoped for, and the staff is incredibly courteous and caring. They want you to do well. Plus, they have decent seating, an incredibly nice bathroom and a digital jukebox. Based off other yelp reviews, it seems like they have a serious delivery issue. I've only tried their taco&quesadilla and both were really good! I think their kitchen is pretty small so sometimes it takes a while but its really delicious and portion is quite big! One quesadilla makes me really full! And they open really late! Thats another good thing! read more
