Its cheap and delivery is fast - I'll give it that much. We ordered the Chicken Fajita salads served in a tostada bowl and while it was okay, nothing about this is 'healthy'. The quality of ingredients is below average and we should've known better. The iceberg lettuce, cheese, and tomatoes was not fresh but the chicken was the redeeming part.

Supposedly extra cheese nachos. Tortilla on bottom is dry

Smh. -Fried baby shrimp & tostones- the oil tasted old and they had no condiments to use. I expected this place to st least have chinese store bottled condiments (bbq sauce, ketchup, hot sauce, etc). In my order I requested bbq sauce all over. They didn't call to say they don't have any, they just sent the food dry. Inedible because of old oil flavor. -Cheese nachos- I paid for extra cheese and got a regular amount if cheese, jalapenos and tomatoes tasted a bit weird, but all in all edible. I should've eaten it while it was hot. -Jack cheese & steak quesadilla- a hot ass mess. Came half in foil wrap and half in plastic lid (weird, right?!). Barely any cheese and oil drenched in the center. I have no clue where that much oil is from. Inedible. Delivery- early, but rude. My bell never gets rung and I never get a call, but there's a loud knock at the door. I yell hold on please as I scramble to put on pants. He knocks more loudly five more times and presses the doorbell each time I say give me a sec please....all in 60 seconds. Once I open he just stares and says "you ordered?" then shoves me my food. Never again. Worse tex-mex I've had. Ordered on: delivery.com My expertise: born and raised in Brooklyn

    Tasty cheese fries.

I've been ordering from Happy Fresh Taco for years now and I haven't been disappointed. They are cheap, tasty and delivery speed is usually like lightning, with the exception for tonight but it is late on a Saturday so it's to be expected. This is Americanized Mexican food. So, kind of like junk food Mexican. Ain't nothing wrong with that, though! I really like that they have tons of vegetarian options. Their fries are always tasty. Salted well. Especially tasty when you get them with cheese! The cheese that they use on the fries and nachos seems to be a mix of cheddar and mozzarella or maybe colby and jack. Whatever the heck the combo is, it's soooo delish. The vegetable enchiladas are my favorite. Served with "Mexican rice" and tons of the above mentioned cheese. Most of the vegetable filled items are loaded with broccoli, carrot, onions and Chinese cabbage. Their pasta with broccoli is oddly satisfyingly good. I also want to know where they get their mozzarella sticks from because they are awesome! It stinks that they charge a $2.00 delivery fee. Don't know what's up with that! Delivery minimum is at a low $7.00 which is great. Huge portions for the price. Their tortilla chips are really good as well. They are always throwing in lots of utensils, napkins and condiments in the bag and they throw in some cans of soda if you go over a certain limit. Thank you for never letting me down, Happy Fresh Taco!

    Happy!

Very inconsistent. Sometimes the food is good and fresh other times tastes old and literally gives me a stomachache. Questionable place

Convenient, cheap and quick! Highly recommend the $1 burrito. It's more like a giant taco, but you definitely get bang for your buck!

Even though I don't usually like salmon, theirs is prepared so well that I actually enjoy it. Some of my personal favorites are the birria tacos, tortilla soup, and the wet burrito. The drinks are just as impressive, with a secret sangria recipe that's always a hit. My go to is the frozen watermelon margarita, refreshing and delicious every time. Starting with the Soft Scramble Egg Tostada, scrumptious is the right word! The eggs were perfectly soft and creamy and paired with that chili sauce it had just the right amount of heat to wake everything up. The Shrimp Ceviche was clean, bright and fresh, served with thick crispy tostadas to scoop it all up. The Chamoy Watermelon though? order it, full stop! Juicy watermelon cubes coated in chamoy, chili flakes and mint. Sweet, spicy, tangy and refreshing all at once. It's one of those dishes that sounds simple but completely delivers. The Chicken Milanesa was a solid protein forward dish. Beautifully golden and crispy with a light coleslaw on top that kept it from feeling too heavy. And the Chilaquiles were loaded and satisfying, topped with crema, cotija and scallions. The Vampiro cocktail has spicy tequila, house sangrita, hibiscus and grapefruit. It had everything I look for in a drink. Bold, a little spicy and so well balanced. Couldn't have chosen better!

The staff were very friendly and welcoming, helping explain the menu & giving us great suggestions. Started off with pineapple margaritas that were REALLY good & not too strong. The fried oaxacan cheese, three cheese empanada & shrimp ceviche was extremely delicious. Shrimp ceviche tastes fresh and the small jalapeños offered just the right kick of spice. The chicken milanesa & dry-aged pork chop were absolutely delicious. Pork chop was a buttery savory delight & the chicken was cooked to perfection, was moist not over cooked & had a wonderful crunch. The green rice was surprisingly good (I'm not the biggest fan of rice). The space was a lot smaller than I had anticipated but very well thought out, didn't feel like we were sitting on top of an each. I love an open kitchen concept to see what it takes to pump out delicious meal after meal. If this is on your list or you're in the area, run, jog, speed walk to this neighborhood gem it will not disappoint.

There is a patio outside for additional seating. It is family owned and if there is one downside is that they are a little slow. But it's so worth it. Go if you're not in hurry. We got so much food: different tacos, quesadilla, elote, horchata, salsa, chips, and guacamole. It was all good. The elote was sweet, salty, and smokey. The chips were warm, the guacamole was creamy with a hint of spice. There was three distinct salsa, one green, two red. One red was super spicy. The horchata was frothy, nicely spiced, and just a little sweet. The tacos were really good. I had the fish, birria, and the surf n turf (shrimp and steak). The fish tasted fresh. The shrimp was bouncy and the steak was flavorful. The birria taco was one of the best birria taco I've had outside of San Diego. My daughter had the chicken quesadilla. She said it was very cheesy. For dessert we had their churros. It was freshly made. The filling tasted slightly like coffee and was molten hot. The caramel dip which was very pudding-like really added to the flavor of the churros. We found our new favorite taqueria.

The enchiladas came with a savory salsa verde sauce and side of rice and beans! Everything was cooked to perfection. The owner was also my server! Finding a spot can be tough, so give yourself a few extra minutes for parking. Once inside, we were greeted immediately and seated right away. Since it was quiet on a Monday, we had our pick of tables. The atmosphere is warm and inviting--dim lighting paired with low Spanish music playing in the background. We sampled three different drinks throughout the meal, and all were excellent: White Sangria (First Place): Exceptionally refreshing and smooth--the standout drink of the night. Frozen Margarita (Second Place): Perfectly blended with a delicious, smooth, slushy consistency. Red Sangria (Third Place): Very enjoyable, though slightly outshined by the other two. It's worth noting that Klan Destino offers two distinct menus--one Mexican and one Argentinian. We ordered entirely from the Argentinian side, and the kitchen delivered on all fronts. For appetizers we ordered Burrata Klandestina which is a unique spin compared to traditional Italian burrata. It was well-executed, served alongside a fresh salad and flavorful prosciutto. Our main course was Asado Klandestino Pura Vaca - For Two. The highlight of the meal which was packed with an outstanding selection of meats. The portion was huge and we couldn't finish it all. It made for fantastic leftovers at home. For dessert, we had the Tiramisu. It was perfectly balanced. Neither the espresso nor the chocolate overwhelmed the dish, making for a light, delicious end to the meal. Klan Destino delivers great ambiance, excellent service, and great quality food. But anyway, there I was sitting on the patio next to these fake-looking potted plants, staring at my drink and looking at Metropolitan traffic. My Red Sangria came in this tall glass with a slice of orange stuck on top, looking all fancy, and it had a bunch of chopped-up fruit floating around at the bottom that you couldn't actually reach without making a total mess, but to be fair, it wasn't half bad. It was cold and fruity and kept me from having to talk to anybody for a few minutes. Then came the "Tacos Entraña." That's skirt steak, if you're not trying to sound like you're from somewhere, somewhere, where its like common and stuff. They serve three of them on this wooden board because apparently regular plates aren't stable enough for many Mexican restaurants anymore. They were absolutely smothered in this white crema stuff, cilantro, and chopped onions. I'll admit, though, the meat actually tasted pretty damn good. It was thick, properly charred. I go into these new pop-ups expecting the whole food fusion thing to be a total fraud, and then the food actually turns out to be quite excellent and not too expensive. I had a great waiter who made the whole lunching experience feel effortless. I lefy feeling taken care of, without ever feeling like I was part of someone else's performance.
