    Pistachio guacamole

Came here with my aunt last Thursday and it was great! We came around 7pm and it wasn't super busy which was nice. Noticed they had an outdoor bar area that wasn't quite open yet but will definitely check out in the summer! The pistachio guacamole was absolutely amazing, I've never had anything like it. I honestly would go back JUST for that. I only got margaritas to drink and they also were amazing. Only stopped in for some drinks and snacks but will definitely come back!

A nice date spot for some good food & drinks. We tried the Pescado Zarandeado which comes with torillas and a fresh salad. You can make some tacos with that. The Tampiqueña also amazing. Overall food was very good and refreshing. The Waiter was very friendly and serviceful. They have nice decor and outdoor seating. Make reservations if you plan to go late as it fills up quickly and happy hour at the bar 4-6pm Wed-Fri.

My favorite Mexican restaurant used to be down the block from here, but if Ajay Devgn is having an affair with Tabu, then I let myself cheat on For All Things Good with Tabú. The prices are high, the automatic gratuity gives off a certain impression, and the Tulum-esque ambiance serves to remind me of perhaps my least favorite geography of Mexico. But the cocktails are nonetheless well-executed, and the guacamole with a bit of charred queso fresco was excellent. It may not be my vibe, but Tabú could be your vibe the next time you need a solid patio for a bout of daydrinking in South Willy B.

Tulum vibes run strong at this visually stunning Brooklyn restaurant , where lush greenery, moody lighting, and a thoughtfully curated aesthetic transport diners far from the borough's bustle. A promising start--courteous front-of-house staff were accommodating despite a fully booked Resy schedule, and worked to seat us promptly and in a desirable spot. Drinks set the tone, with the Embrujo and Tulum Breeze impressing both visually and on the palate; the tamarind in the Breeze was particularly well-balanced, and the Embrujo offered a sweet, fig-forward profile with a satisfying kick. The beet salad appetizer shone--vibrant, well-prepared, and generously portioned--while the guacamole, though fresh and accompanied by perfectly crisp chips, fell flat flavor-wise, lacking the expected punch of herbs, citrus, and seasoning. Unfortunately, the evening took a nosedive when, over 90 minutes after placing our order, we were informed that the kitchen had run out of food--yes, entirely out. No alternative entrées were offered, and the meal ended with complimentary drinks and only one appetizer on the bill. While the gesture was appreciated, the experience left much to be desired, especially considering we had ordered entrées alongside our starters. A beautiful space with potential and a strong cocktail menu, but kitchen operations and communication need refinement. A return visit might be in the cards for me because I really want the full experience --but I would hope the back-of-house gets in sync with the front.

Ambience is elegant and classy. Service was speedy and attentive. Food was delicious. Esquites was so tasty & hanger steak was juicy even though I order it well done. Drinks were strong! I tried the Embrujo & Flor; both delicious but a little strong for my personal taste. Highly recommend.

Great experience.. the establishment is so pretty and lush. They have a great outdoor spot but obvious it was too cold.. I had a great night with my cousin who brought me here. Elevated mexican food, cool drinks and lovely host. We had the tartar to start, which was fresh and so tasty. The glaze on bottom was different and elevated the dish. The guac was cool, 6/10. The maduro with cream and crumbled cojita cheese was 12/12. It's the epitome of comfort food. THE FISH TACOS!! Stop and listen... they were 12/10 the best ever WOW.. a must !! The enchiladas were good too but they were cold when it got to table. I am giving them a pass on this because everything else was so good. Need to go back and try some other staples.

Good food!! I enjoyed everything that we ate, from the guacamole, fish tacos and tuna tostadas for appetizer to the Branzino for entree. The tostadas were a hit at the table and a must try. The sangria was a nice fruity, not too sweet balance of wine and fruits. My only disappointment was that we went on a Saturday night, hoping to see/hear from live entertainment, as advertised online and on their website. But for some reason, Carlos, our server, said they did not schedule any entertainment for the night, but did not elaborate why. It would've been nice to know as we chose Tabu with that in mind. Overall it was a good dinner night and will return to enjoy the full Tulum experience.

Vibey interiors, tasty food (pork tacos were the standout, skirt steak was pretty tasty, tres leche cake was so-so), strong cocktails. Wasn't packed on a Saturday night. Music was so loud it was hard to have a conversation. Final bill was quite expensive. A nice night out but I don't think we'll be back.

This was my first time at Tabu. I was looking forward to seeing the elaborate outdoor dining space and the Tulum dancers Saturday night. Sadly due to rain, I was unable to experience them. Fortunately the food saved the day! It was delicious and appealingly plated. The short rib mini sopes, the pulpo tacos, branzino and carne asada were worth the trip to Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The cocktails were fun and quite good! For dessert we had tequila tres leches and flan. The top of the tres leches was flambéed into a yummy caramelized sugar crisp goodness! Service was very busy but the waitstaff and hospitality were still top notch. The packed indoor dining space was warm and cozy - very inviting - considering the cold rainy weather outside!

But actually speechless... truly the most beautiful restaurant in Williamsburg! I came here for my birthday dinner and it was the best decision ever. First of all, you are immediately transported to Tulum when you walk into this majestic restaurant. My boyfriend kept telling me that he felt that we were at a resort. I won't lie, I was a bit skeptical with the food because usually restaurants with the most stunning decor do lack a bit with their cuisines. Tabu truly has it all. The guacamole was fresh and honestly the best I've ever had in NY. That says a lot. The tacos were fresh and had so much flavor. We shared the lamb tacos and they were amazing! Honestly, the portions look pretty small in pictures but they're the perfect size. You must order the duck carnitas!! It was so flavorful and delicious. The service here is outstanding. Truly such kind and hardworking people. They have a live band on Thursdays and will make your birthday feel so special. Highly highly recommend coming here for a date night, girls night out, gathering, everything! Thank you Carlo and team for an incredible and delicious night! I can't wait to come back.

Took my friend here for brunch to celebrate his birthday. The menu is not vast but you can find a few things to get. Strangely there was no chicken, we even asked. The items are pricey. the unlimited drink option is $40 pp. We got guac and chips as a starter, two entrees and the unlimited drinks and shared a dessert. The bill was about $200. The staff was nice and we had a good time. But, it would not be a place I would come to regularly.

Located in Williamsburg, my friend and I came to this beautiful spot, the vibes are amazing great music, amazing service David was my server and he was lovely. The Manager Carlos was checking on every table which I loved and respected. We tried the ceviche, fish tacos and chilaquiles and they were all amazing we tried a variety of drink but I think my favorite was the Flor presentation wise + taste it's on the sweeter side. This spot is great for groups and highly recommend. If you're coming for brunch 12 and after is a great time it's lively conversations just flowing I loved it. Will be back!!

Their amazing coconut flan, to die for!!

Admittedly I've found the music both times to be too experimental for me. Confessing that makes me feel like an old person shaking my fist or at least shaking my head, misunderstanding what makes the youth tick. But I had no trouble twirling around the dance floor to this weird experimental music after throwing back a few tequila sodas upstairs. A few times while here my friends have split up into the group that wants to go downstairs to dance and the group that wants to stay upstairs and chill. It's relatively easy to navigate between both vibes, which I enjoy about this spot very much.

But if you go with an expense account or trust fund baby, definitely get the scallops and the yellowtail pastrami because those two items will blow your mind.
