The food was fine but took forever to arrive like other reviewers have mentioned. The kitchen and bar operations seemed like a consistent issue when we came here on a Friday night with multiple tables sitting around with empty drinks and no food. My biggest issue was with the noise level - it was incredibly hard to carry a conversation over 1) multiple birthday celebrations where the entire bar staff stands around the birthday table yelling, and 2) "background" music so loud you can't hear the person across from you unless they scream. I don't even know where to start with this review. The moment I walked through the front door I knew I felt right "at home". From the aesthetic aspect of matching my Bachelorette weekend theme of "til death do is party", to the friendly staff, we had a fantastic time. Very cool spot with lots of potential, but the service was beyond bad. Our table wasn't ready after half an hour because of "dangerous decorations" (???) outside, so we wound up being sat inside 40 minutes after our reservation, and only because we went to get the hostess to ask what was going on. The service inside was really, really bad. We waited 30 minutes for drinks and wound up having to just get up and go get water from the bar ourself. The server knew the service was a problem (she was clearly having to handle too many tables at once) and kept apologizing for it, which was nice, and they also gave us a free shot of tequila as an apology. But there's just no reason to come back to a restaurant where we can't get drinks within 30 minutes or water ever. read more

The staff asked that we review them wherever we could on social media, which makes sense since I only heard about this place via a foodie on Instagram. We sat outside to savor the perfect evening air and the atmosphere was both modest and colorful. The menu isn't posted online, which suggests they change it up frequently. We avoided entrees and stuck to sopes, tacos, quesadillas, tostadas and tostadas, but honestly the most memorable thing were the tortillas chips that came with the guacamole. It's not like they were warm out of a fryer or anything, but I felt like I was tasting the freshest corn in those chips. I also got a mezcal punch in a sort of tiki bar cup with roasted pineapple juice, and I could almost recommend this place for that alone. Bit pricy, but seek it out for an occasion. read more

We went in early Saturday evening for dinner. The service at the start was extremely slow. We had guacamole and tuna tartare for appetizers and various tacos for the main dishes with rice and beans on the side. The food quality was excellent but the tacos were too small for the price. The sides were also too small for the price. The service got better once we had food but still had to ask for more water and find someone to get the check. They have a LOT of work to do. The service was pretty bad. We had to ask 4 different servers for an extra chip for our guacamole. My steak was pretty unseasoned. My friend had to walk from our table to the bar to get her drink that had been sitting for almost 20 minutes. We were charged extra items on our bill. We asked the manager, or man walking intently with an iPad, for straws for our cocktails.... He walked 3 steps to the bar to grab them and never returned. Unpleasant experience and service. Overpriced food. We decided to make a reservation for my sister's birthday. Our reservation was at 9:15pm, but we weren't seated until 25 minutes later, despite arriving early. We received dirty menus with food stains. The server was quite friendly when he approached the table to take our orders. However, our order was served in complete disarray. We received the fish tacos and octopus tacos cold. We decided to wait for the appetizer (guacamole), and while we waited, we noticed the restaurant was understaffed, even though it was completely full. Two servers were running all over the floor trying to attend to all the tables. This somewhat explained the wait and the disorganized service. The priority of the night was the large tables, seated and served right away while the small tables, including ours, were momentarily forgotten. The atmosphere is pleasant, with live music and a live show with violin was beautiful, however this was totally overshadowed by the large rodents repeatedly running along the upper walls of the restaurant. The appetizer arrived 45 minutes later, along with the glasses of wine. Finally, we decided to ask for the bill, greatly disappointed by the experience. We are definitely not coming back read more

Not impressed. Saw this new restaurant with Tulum vibes in Williamsburg and decided to go for drinks on a Saturday evening. The decor was amazing and initial service. It was a rainy day and the outside was closed, my first thought was the inside was a bit small. A table was made for 3, and first issue was a chair was wet that I assume was bought in from outside. I swapped it for another one. We ordered a round of drinks, beef tostada and fish tacos. We got beef tostada and octopus tostada. This is after we received consistant interruptions from different staff or management asking if we ordered while someone else has taken our order. Also confirming if we ordered two tostadas and we mentioned no, a beef tostada and fish taco. Then they mentioned the octopus tostada is on the house and goes well with the beef. Then we ordered a second round of drinks, a frozen passionfruit margarita, a frozen mango margarita, and a spicy passionfruit margarita. We received a strawberry frozen margarita, a spicy mango frozen margarita and a regular passionfruit margarita. We called our waiter and the waiter was dumbfounded and said we did not order that and laughed at us as if we were crazy. He then said passionfruit does not come frozen, I would expect that would be communicated rather than bring whatever flavor they had. Then he said there was an ingredient he didn't know about in the frozen mango margarita that made it spicy and swapped it for a regular one. I never had an interaction where the waiter laughed at us as if we made a mistake. After closing the bill guess what I saw after requesting to see the actual bill before paying? The octopus tostada on the bill. As far as decor? Great Tulum vibes but small interior. Service - overattentive at first, staff might as well join us at the table if constantly interrupted, remembering orders and bringing out correct orders is key, and not laughing at guests as if we made the mistake is not hospitality (coming from a general manager in hospitality). read more
