I had the beef and chicken ones - both were delicious!! The chicken was my favorite. Our server was really good. She kept checking on us to make sure we were okay. If you're not Latino, and don't speak Spanish, I'd recommend going elsewhere because I definitely noticed a different level of attention given by the bartenders. I have to say with as much as you go through with this restaurant I was expecting a five-star experience. To book a reservation you have to leave a credit card - not sure why but ok (they even ran it for $1.00 to ensure it worked). Even though they do brunch they don't open until 1:00pm. I received a text a day or two before confirming my reservation. The day of I received another text saying my reservation is in 30 minutes. I arrived early and was told I had to wait outside (I guess sitting at the bar wasn't an option). So at 1:00 my party was escorted in. The restaurant is cute but all the tables were high tops so if you're sitting in the aisle side you're going to sit on a bar stool with no back. They have an unlimited drink brunch for $47 and you get 90 minutes of your choice of mimosas, or red or rose sangria. The menu indicated that your entire party had to participate which was ok with us. I had the red sangria but it was SWEET very sweet. I switched to the rose and it was sweet as well. The surprising thing is that I didn't get any "kick' from the sangria (other than sweetness). We started with an empanada appetizer - one beef, one chicken and they were both good. For my entree I had the Tiger Shrimp which is like a shrimp fried rice. Now at this point the restaurant is empty - we were the only ones there. So imagine my disappointment when I got my rice and it was lukewarm and dry. I've mentioned here all the time that I don't send my food back so I ate it that way but I don't understand why it wasn't hot because it's not like they had to rush orders. The first time I came here was with some co-workers after a staff party. I had the hot wings and some fries. Wings were crispy as requested. However the wings don't come with a sauce. They charged me $1 for the initial blue cheese and then $.75 for each additional one. They also charged $1 for the aioli with the fries. The tamarind margarita was delicious. The service I received was much better than then second time I went. The only difference was there was Latino people in my party when I went the first time and it was on a Saturday. The next time I went was on a Sunday with my boyfriend. They played nothing but Latin music and they had a live Latin band. The place is pretty small and it was jam packed. I came in for a table and the busser was very rude when I tried to ask him how does the seating work. Finally I was able to flag down a waitress who was nicer and was able to get me seated. It was extremely loud and full of hookah smoke. They even had sections and bottle service. Way too small for that in my opinion. My boyfriend got the fried red snapper with tostones. It was delicious and worth the $30. I got a shrimp Caesar salad. It was okay. The Caesar dressing could have been better. We got a picture of margaritas that was like $40. Came for dinner on a Saturday and stayed until it changed into more of a club. For dinner you can have the table for two hours if it's busy. Servers were nice during dinner. It was harder to get their attention when it became a dance bar. I got the Carneval Chicken which was tasty. The three of us shared a passion fruit margarita pitcher which was very strong. People can smoke hookah there. When it becomes clubbier, they replace dinner tables and chairs with bar tables and stools. The Latin music was a lot of fun and people were dancing, but the music was very loud where I couldn't hear my friends next to me and when we left, our ears were ringing. Bartender was extremely rude and disgusting I had taken off my shoes and set them on the counter for a second and was told by her to get my shoes off HER bar very rudely, obviously I was at fault but the way she went about it was aggressive and just nasty. Upon walking in the restaurant is a lot bigger than I anticipated. I didn't get the see the back space but seemed like a vibe. If you don't like loud music this is not the spot for you. The music was on 100 and I was okay with that. The vibes from the drinks and the hookah (yes they have hookah) were the perfect combo. So yes the drinks were good! I've been here a few times and last night I could not believe the bill. Almost $400 for something we have normally paid about $200. I really could not understand the amount. This was insane. I'm not sure if we were taken advantage of or what but this is definitely our last time here. Between gratuity and tax was almost $100. I have had this place bookmarked for a while now and decided to come here for happy hour with my best friend on Monday. While I waited for her, I sat at the bar and ordered the La Vega and the empanadas. The bartender was so nice. She helped me decide on what to order while I waited. She also let me know that the hookah was FREE since I ordered off of the happy hour menu, and since my friend was taking a while to arrive, she didn't want me to miss out. Our waitress was friendly, but it did not come off as genuine. She was nice in her delivery but wasn't helpful at all! I ordered the La romana and hated it. I should have googled what cambur was because I would have known that I wouldn't like the drink. When I asked our waitress if I could swap it, she let me know with the biggest smile on her face that she is unable to make any changes. It seemed like anything we asked for, she was unwilling to help us, and in a condescending manner, which really turned me off from the establishment as a whole. My best friend ordered the sweet chili wings and they were soooo bomb and bursting with flavor. I ordered the three musketeers, which was okay. I really liked the shrimp one. Had this spot on my to-go-to list for a couple of months now so I was thrilled to come here last Saturday night on a date. We were seated right away and was approached by the waitress minutes later. Although my date already had a Long Island Iced Tea, we ordered two Blue Hawaiians. Unbeknownst to me, the frozen drinks came in a plastic bottle (kind of like a Nutcracker), I prefer my drinks in a glass. On top of that, you can barely taste the liquor in the Blue Hawaiian. Their happy hour is Monday-Friday from 4-7pm. You can get the beef sliders and the mac & cheese for $7 each. So cheap! The beef sliders are covered in cheese and 100% delicious! If we were kindly made aware that they weren't able to split both of my friend and I's cards, it would've been a solid four stars. The cheese were definitely cheesing (lol), they didn't skimp out on the fillings either! Nice flaky yet crusty hot dough on the outside... BTW: Please update the advertised empanada picture on your site since it presents three empanadas -we were served two. We ordered two orders for this reason. Yeah we get it, INFLATION. Sangria was very sweet yet refreshing as the ice dilutes it a little. Def creeps up on you, so SIP IT! Their pitchers are $35 for a carafe, you get a nice 2.5 servings for two people. Entrees: My friend ordered the Toston Burger (the "toston buns" were rather too thick to bite the burger through, so she just ate the burger with a knife and fork, with one of the buns from the bottom. I ordered their Exotic Mofongo with Shrimp. Difference is the sauce was a Bechamel instead of the traditional tomato-based sauce. Presentation was very nice! It was very yummy and hearty, couldn't finish it all so I took half of it home to enjoy later. Service was okay. We weren't very happy where we were seated as it was in the front near the door with flies fluttering around.... We wanted to sit in the back but according to the hostess they were reserved. Idk what's the point in reserving on Resy then. The restaurant doesn't pick up the calls as I attempted to specify where we wanted to be seated. Waitress wasn't very attentive. We asked for the sangria pitcher prior to the empanadas to enjoy our drinks but we got the empanadas first. I asked her for Tabasco sauce before the food arrived and it took her near 20 mins after I received my entree before she realized that another waiter got the Tabasco for me... Finally when the bill came, friend and I went Dutch to find out that my friend's card was charged instead of mine (no issues with my card on my end whatsoever) but the waitress mentioned that apparently their merchant account couldn't process both cards which I found to be BS. -They didn't want the extra fees incurred when processing the cards. We were kind of annoyed that she didn't let us know prior to charging one card. Thankfully there's Zelle so I just sent my friend my part of the bill, but it doesn't justify we weren't given a heads up to charge without having the courtesy to ask first. I ordered the Guac & Chips (3.5/5) for a snack. It was tasty enough but the plantain chips were stuck inside the guac when it came out so it made the chips become soggy very quickly. I don't remember which drinks my friend and I ordered but they were all pretty good for $9 but nothing too special to write home about. read more

I REALLY wanted to love this place! My friends and I visited on a Saturday night for a friends birthday. There was a line to get in and the place was PACKED! It didn't take us long to get in but I immediately recognized that the crowd was pretty rough. Many of the guys were pretty aggressive and were way bolder than they should have been. I'm glad I was with husband because I think I would have felt uncomfortable otherwise. (May have just been the particular crowd that night, not exactly sure since it was first time.) I did love the super cute decor of the place and although I didn't buy any drinks all the ones I saw being served were beautiful. My friends all said they were very tasty! The food though was SO good! I had the chimi. It tasted super fresh and had a nice kick to it. My mouth is watering now just thinking of it!
