PROS: the staff was friendly, food was good, atmosphere was pretty, and they had a parking lot. Menu variety was plentiful and prices were nice CONS: it's a bit small compared to the other agave. Only had one person bathrooms OVERALL: great place, and I highly recommend coming. Just be aware it isn't that big

This is a cute spot for my and some friends to meet up. Ordered the steak fajita and it was good. I also ordered a coconut mojito, which was good. My friend ordered chicken fajitas and fries and enjoyed her meal. Service was good despite the very consistent check ups. Overall, enjoyed ourselves

The piña colada taste like cream only. The regular lemonade I ordered cost $13:fancy for no reason & the house drink I would rate a 5.

Truly disappointed. Went there tonight for Taco Tuesday and it wasn't worth the wait nor the frustration. The orders took forever to come out and they even forgot my husband food. No one came to check on us. We asked the bartender to assist us since there was only 1 waitress. We finished few our tacos & no one noticed he never got his food. Then the waitress bring us a cold forgotten order from the kitchen and asks us if we want it wrapped up. No we don't! Taco Tuesday was a disaster. The drinks were a 6 out of 10. They are really short staff (1person in the kitchen is not ok) & management needs to do better. Sad to say I won't come back & I'm a local from Wallington : (

Came here for cinco de mayo and the place was pretty packed. They had a live DJ and the vibe was definitely festive. They gave a free app of salsa and chips on the table (pretty standard but good). We ordered the loaded nachos for the table and the serving size was good enough for 3-4 people. There was a ton of toppings and they did not cheap out on the meat. For my main dish, I ordered the steak tacos. A++ for serving size since it was 4 tacos with a lot of meat for $15. Only complaint is that I wish the tacos had more flavor. I had to put a LOT of green sauce to get it how I like but otherwise the food was pretty good. We also shared a tres leches dessert. Honestly, this tasted more like tiramisu than tres leches. The cake had a coffee flavor to it which was not my favorite and would not order again. Overall, I would come back again to try their other dishes. TIP: It's valet parking only so be ready to look for street parking.

Agave Cocina was an enjoyable meal. The restaurant is not large, but it's well decorated and clean. Our server, Katherine, was attentive and gave good recommendations. My Coconut Margarita was INCREDIBLE and strong. The presentation was stunning and the pink salt was nicely painted from rim to bottom. The coconut flakes, that adorned the surface, enhanced the entire drink. Highly recommended. The Chicken Bowl was served in a cool bowl and was large enough to take some home.  The two chicken, Taco Tuesday, selection was flavorful and both were well seasoned. I recommend Agave Cocina Mexicana and am certain that you'll enjoy your experience.

Hands down one of the best Mexican food spots I've ever tried! The vibe is super cute and totally Insta-worthy , the drinks are delicious , and the service is all-around amazing . And the cherry on top? Comedy night! Tacos + laughs = perfection . Can't wait to go back!

Came here on a Saturday afternoon for Brunch and I was pleasantly surprised. I've been here before a few years prior for dinner and it was meh experience and didn't feel a need to return. My friend invited me to brunch and obliged but "why not" and I had a GREAT time! The music for starters when you walked in set the tone and it was a pretty good playlist! The brunch menu had a decent variety of options and I've never had a Pancake Taco before so it was a no brainer for me! And because the music had me feeling good I said "why not" to a mimosa flight and they were full sized! I will say they were already preselected and no modifications. Nonetheless, go for brunch! It could be just a 1:1 or a group outing you'll have great time!

Brunch was an absolute vibe! The DJ was great had the music going with good tunes we all got up to start dancing. The food was amazing and fresh. Everything was very tasty and filling. The drinks were delicious we couldn't stop ordering. The service was amazing, the servers were very sweet and helpful with anything questions we had. Very attentive as well and always smiling. Definitely going back!

This place is great. Fun drinks, delicious food and specials on certain nights. The service is good & the place is decorated to theme. Only complaint is if you sit in the back where the DJ booth is, you will have a hard time hearing the people you came to dinner with.

We made a reservation for 20 people on a Saturday night. They were able to accommodate us for our friend's birthday dinner. We show up and pull into the lot, only for the valet to wave us away without speaking to us. We had to park 4 blocks away. Service was extremely slow and our table ordered drinks early, only to get a weird look, but the drinks took forever! I really don't like that there's no pricing for the alcohol on the menu. Some people in the party said their food was good. A lot of us found the food to be very bland. I had the salmon avocado salad. While it was well dressed, it was the same stringy lettuce they use for garnish. For $25, that is unacceptable. The bathrooms are disgusting. Women were complaining that the toilets were clogged and it took 3 flushes to go down. Their happy birthday song consists of horrific plastic whistle, sparklers and a sad clapping song. This is a new layer of hell. I felt like I needed to escape. This was a very frustrating and lackluster experience. I wouldn't make the trip back or recommend this place to a friend.

Our "go-to" mexican spot in NJ! Agave Cocina Mexicana has become our "go-to" mexican restaurant in NJ! We have already been here numerous times and I must say all have been an excellent experience! The food is truly delicious, I am a huge fan of fajitas and I have to admit, Agave has offered the best fajitas I have ever had anywhere! Onto what we have had and I highly recommend each one: Food: - Salmon Tacos: Grilled salmon w/chipotle dip topped with cabbage, avocado @pico de gallo - Chicken Fajitas: Sautéed peppers, zucchini, onion, & mushroom served with rice, beans, guac, pico de gallo, sour cream & flour tortilla - Salmon Avocado Salad: Tequila lime salmon with avocado, pico de gallo on lettuce Drinks: Frozen Mango / Classic Margaritas What is so great about the food, is that not only is very tasty, but you can tell that all ingredients are fresh! I will be visiting Agave for years to come! Thank you for your delicious food, clean establishment and superb service!

This place is fantastic!! Looks small, but inside is big. Has a front area, bar area and back area. They have parking, but that is tight and most nights it's valet. There is side street parking, which I would suggest. Good is phenomenal and the take out is just as good as dine in. I had ordered in and the service was great. Margaritas were great. Looking forward to trying a margarita flight in the near future. Had the steak burrito for dine in and loved it. Enjoyed it so much I ordered it for take out that other day. It was amazing. The take out burrito came with beans, rice and sauces. They even included napkins and cutlery which is a huge plus! My new go to Mexican food place! 10/10 recommend!

First off, we couldn't even find the place. When we finally did, the front was completely blacked out and the security guard had on a bulletproof vest... sketchy. But we went in anyway. The first floor had a weird smell, so we went upstairs. The vibe was better up there, and the host was really nice. The decor was totally on theme, very Cowboy Carter. The brunch menu looked decent, but weirdly we couldn't order any appetizers just the brunch entrees. Kinda annoying, but whatever. We got the shrimp and grits, and the chicken and waffles (served on a skewer). Oh and we had to pay right when we ordered. Like... why? That was definitely a red flag. But surprisingly, the food was actually so good. As for drinks, I got something with rum and it was solid. My partner ordered the $30 mimosa pitcher, and it was mostly juice way too sweet. Bavarian Pretzel: amazing. Very tasty. Came out nice and hot. That rarebit cheese sauce? Oh honey that can come home with me anytime. Absolutely delicious. And this is coming from someone who hates that fake cheese, cheese whiz type taste. Margherita Pizza: didn't come out hot which is probably why I wasn't a fan of it. It was pretty mediocre for such a basic pizza. And the food didn't come out all together, so not sure why that didn't come out hot. Wings and waffles: Tasty buffalo wings. The waffles actually taste like funnel cake which was a nice surprise. THEN. The burger came out and that is why this review dropped. It had a small hair on the side of the plate and a closer look at the rest of the plate, you'll see a long hair on the pickle. That was disappointing but happy to have tried the place nonetheless.

Like the brewpub, Silk City Distillery had been on my wish list, and it was not until I arrived at Ghost Hawk that I noticed that they were adjacent to each other, allowing me to check both off at once. The tasting room was adorned with barrels that were holding their vast selection of spirits, such as bourbon, whisky, rum, gin, vodka, and more. They also offered a handful of regular and high-top tables, which we were easy to obtain on that afternoon (given the outdoor options as well), but typically reservations were recommended. Though the seating was comfortable, the temperature was not. In fact, it was freezing in there, and we, along with a lot of other parties, switched tables multiple times to find the best fit. We approached the counter to order from their lengthy cocktail list, which included standard and more custom cocktails. I decided on their rendition of a Lime Rickey, asking for it to be made with their gin. The tart, sour, and sweet drink was light and refreshing. I enjoyed each sip so much that I wound up getting a second round. While many distilleries offer a few types of alcohol and a handful of cocktails, the Silk City Distillery went above and beyond with their vast array of options. Any connoisseur should enjoy the place!

Ownership really did a great job creating a very cool, city-style, modern atmosphere. Before writing this review, I had to really think about what UB&P really is and (duh!) the name says it all. This is more of a bar first and food ( provisions) secondary. As long as you visit with this in mind you should have a good experience. Well lit, well stocked bar with as pair of large TVS for watching a game. Not a craft beer bar but ok on the wine selection and it has an interesting craft cocktail list. However the drinks sounded better than they were made. My dining companion and I have had our fair share of Old Fashions and Lychee-style martinis. The versions here GOLDEN PEACH MARTINI & BROWN BUTTER WASHED OLD FASHIONED fell flat. At $16-18 per, they need to get better. As for food, a very small menu ( which I do like at times) but this one doesn't have anything that says "I have to try that!" Again I'm feeling that what with all the great restaurants in the next town it makes sense to push the alcohol here more than the food. We split he hummus platter which was very good; For our main course: the house burger ( with fries) and meatloaf ( with sauteed spinach and pureed potatoes). The burger was very good and cooked as ordered. The meatloaf was good\ok, but I have the opinion that most of us already have a version of our favorite meatloaf from somewhere else ( mom's, spouse's, our own). A side of cornbread was ordered too. I find most places make it too dry but this version was very good. Do NOT expect to have dessert here as it is almost non-existent. No menu and only a few generic choices like cheesecake, chocolate cake, creme brulee ( they had 1 left on a Wednesday night! really? ) Anyway, good place for catching the game with some drinks. Food here if needed to keep the night going. They just need to do a little work on those cocktails.

My friend and I went at a normal time, and the place wasn't even busy. We originally ordered tacos and chaufa, but they brought us the wrong food. Eventually someone finally came back and apologized, saying they were busy -- which would've been understandable, except the restaurant really wasn't crowded at all. At that point, we were tired of waiting and just ate the food they gave us. But paying $18 for 3 basic tacos is honestly ridiculous. Their solution was basically, "We can make the correct order, but it'll take even longer." Then they automatically added an 18% gratuity for just two people, even though the service was far from good. Overall, the food was very basic, the service was frustrating, and the whole experience just wasn't worth it. I wouldn't recommend this place.

We came to Ceviche 517 Restaurant & Lounge as a group of five, hoping to find good food, great…read moremusic, and some fun new cocktails--and this place absolutely delivered on most fronts! A quick heads-up: on Google Maps it's listed as Ceviche 517, but the sign on the building says Tavern 517, which initially threw us off. We were circling around until we decided to just trust the physical address--and we're so glad we did. As soon as we walked in, the name didn't even matter anymore. The decor is stunning--definitely has an upscale, Instagram-worthy vibe with a modern lounge feel. We might've come a little early because the place was quiet when we arrived, but that worked in our favor as we got to settle in comfortably and explore the menu. Drinks were a mixed experience. We tried the margarita flight, which included coconut, passion fruit, and strawberry. The coconut and passion fruit margaritas were absolutely delicious--fresh, balanced, and memorable. The strawberry, however, was a big miss--tasted like kid's medicine and no one at the table could finish it. We also ordered a drink called something like Chicola--it had ginger ale, lime juice, and some type of liquor, and unfortunately, it was another one we couldn't get through. The flavors just didn't mix well, and everyone at the table agreed it was a no for us. On the flip side, the Perfect Mule with a strawberry twist, the Henny Mojito, and a bold and fun drink called No Sheets were much better received. Menus are displayed on sleek tablets, and we were pleasantly surprised to see that the in-house menu offered way more options than what's listed online. And the food? Absolutely excellent. The Tallarín Saltado with vegetables was beyond delicious--we placed it in the center so everyone could dig in. The ceviche flight was fresh and flavorful, and the jalea (a fried seafood platter) didn't last long on the table either. One friend had the larger ceviche bowl paired with a mojito and already asked to come back just for that combo. Even the kid's arroz chaufa with chicken impressed us, with a big enough portion for leftovers. If there's one thing that fell flat, it was the atmosphere--at least early in the evening. When we arrived, the music playing sounded like retro video game tunes, but thankfully it transitioned into upbeat Spanish hits, including some great bachata that gave the space some energy. All in all, despite a few drink misses and a quiet start, this spot is a gem. The food alone is worth the trip, and we're definitely planning to return--next time a little later in the evening to hopefully catch a livelier vibe!

I loved this place and will be returning soon!…read more Made it in time for happy hour and tried their margarita and sangria. My fave was the passion fruit margarita. For food we shared calamari, tavern fries, and quesadillas. The calamari and quesadillas were winners! So good. Attentive service and nice decor inside for pics! Tip: ask the waiting staff to take your pic, they bring out a light and know what they are doing!
