Parking: Plenty of parking available. Service: There was about a 20 minute wait when we went at 6:30pm on a Saturday. My husband put our name in for a party of four and gave his phone number for the text notification but the hostess accidentally entered us as a party of two. Thankfully, the table that was ready was large enough for four but it could have caused an issue. As a note, she remembered and realized she mistyped it and apologized immediately. Our waiter was friendly, though the service had a few hiccups. My chicken quesadilla (which I ordered as my entrée) came out well before everyone else's meals. When boxing leftovers, he asked whether I wanted the sides, sour cream, and salsa included. I said no, but when I opened the container the next day, everything had been packed together anyway. Food: The chicken quesadilla was delicious and generously filled with shredded chicken. Drinks: The frozen strawberry margarita was excellent. It was filled to the brim and stronger than what you typically get at a restaurant. Overall, I'm chalking the service issues up to it being a busy Saturday night. Went there for a late lunch as it has been three years since our last visit and truthfully will be our last. When we say the table even though was wiped down was sticky and damp. The food is the reason I'm writing this review. Ordered the Cajun popcorn shrimp for appetizer and it was beyond salty. The sauce helped but the salt was the extent of the taste. My wife had the fish fajitas and I had the pulled chicken tacos for lunch with fries. The fries were over fried like chips but the pulled chicken tacos was downright not right there was a chicken pot outlets chicken with a taste to the chicken. I had one bite put it down and pushed the plate away. I was done. My wife ate some of her fajita with her comment being that it's was really spicy. I asked for the check. The waiter asked us for boxes. Seeing that we didn't eat the food we said we weren't taking anything. I told him to have someone check the chicken as it's not right and he said he would let them know. He came back with the check I paid the full check and again mentioned to the waiter that someone should really look into the chicken as someone will get sick and we left. My wife was upset as she was upset I paid the sill receipt but my point is the following. Reputable locations who take their businesses serious pay attention and monitor their patrons. Ultimately without them they don't have a business. Your representative taking care of us saw we barely touched the food if at all. This is not normal at an eating establishment and your only concern was that we didn't want to take the food home. Following my warning on the food there was no concern just collect your check and rip. Enjoy the hundred bucks we will never be back. Left a star as I couldn't post with none. read more

I cant say enough about Jaime our waiter and the manager Melissa. They were both professional, accommodating and extremely polite. I asked for my steak Fajitas to be cooked less and he spoke to the cook. They both went out of their way to make my meal the best I ever had. My friend ordered a burger NO CHEESE. It was sent back, Melissa took care if this for us. If my rating was only for the service I would give it a 5. The Jumbalya tastes old, stick fries tasted like they came out of a can of chips. Came here for Cinco de Mayo and had a great experience. Solid Mexican food with really good margaritas. It was my first time at this location, but it's identical to the Woodbridge spot -- same atmosphere, quality, and flavors. A group of 4 met here on Monday before 6pm. . We were seated quickly, it was empty but was pretty packed by the time we left. The hostess was friendly, the server was ok. Drinks were ok. I had the margarita. Was big but not strong. Waters are served in what could only be described as a Big Gulp cup. I ordered the chicken enchiladas. Not the best but ok. First time here and the hostess was friendly! It's a cool family spot not so much of a happy hour location if that's the vibe you're going for. I got the spicy marg which was okay not mind blowing. Wasnt exactly ideal but it was fine. Chips and salsa are always welcome in my book. They were fresh and tasty. Once we put our order in it all went downhill. One order was wrong and the other was completely forgotten about. It was fine and the staff were apologetic, it was just a weird thing especially for a quiet time for the restaurant. Went in on October 1st to watch the Yankee game and grab some drinks and food. The regular margaritas are pretty bad because they use roses fake lime juice. So I got the more expensive patron with real lime juice and that one was good. The food was just ok. New thing was the Jambalaya side. Anyway things were fine until we saw a huge cockroach on the wall behind the bar. I was immediately put off by this and couldn't finish my food. Then about five minutes later we saw another roach on the bar crawl onto a napkin of a man sitting next to us. Food and drinks were both fairly priced but a bargain doesn't outweigh cleanliness. We always love coming here, it's the spot we know will gives us solid food at a cheap price. The place is spacious but can and will get packed after 4pm, they will always fit you in though with a max 20 minute wait. The tortilla chips were served warm with a really good salsa. I ordered the steak fajitas, which were done perfectly, had a nice amount of spice, and the tortillas were grilled. The black beans were excellent. The rice was just OK. I found the atmosphere to be perfectly fine with lots of sports options on the TV. There were other families enjoying their meals and I witnessed many of the staff members practicing good customer service. Other than a little wait sometimes you get right in & are treated wonderfully by the staff. Took my friend here for a birthday lunch. We enjoyed the food. Prices were great and the chicken in my salad was so darned tasty. My friend really enjoyed her dish as well. I do wish my salad wasn't iceberg lettuce but the ranch dressing I got with it was so superb I can forgive it. The ranch dressing tasted homemade and had a lot of fresh dill in it. The tortilla chips came out hot. They were crisp, thin and nicely salted. The service was attentive and speedy. They really aim at getting you out during lunch hour. Margaritas are a must when you go (or Cerveza if that's more you). At our most recent visit I had the Mesquite Chicken Salad, which was great - but I unfortunately chose this to fill the gaping hole which is now the disappeared "Tostada Grande" of Jose Tejas past. It was legendary, and very well priced. I have noticed the price points for most if not all items have increased. Going to have to try my hand at recreating the Tostada Grande from home if y'all don't bring it back! I know I'm not the only one who misses it. The guacamole was under salted big time (nothing a couple shakes couldn't fix). This time, went with the beef tacos, and they were SALTY. I threw some guac on there, and boom, it was delicious. Jose Tejas was a very enjoyable experience. The restaurant has plenty of parking, very nice outdoor seating, and a large indoor section. Our cocktails were well crafted and the perfect strength. The complimentary chips and salsa, plus the guac appetizer were nice starters. Each of our entrees were delicious and well seasoned.
