Since it's now down the block from my new building, I figured I'd give it a try. It's a quaint little restaurant in the middle of bustling 3rd Avenue. The decor is not only super homey, the waiter was nothing but friendly and hospitable. My sister and I started off the meal with classic Thai iced teas- this one is perfectly sweet, smooth and milky. I've also basically only ever tried the pad see ew from here each time I've ordered, which has been nothing short of delicious, but this time, I wanted to get something different and try the pad kee mao. The flavors melded together perfectly and the spice level was just what I wanted. Per usual, I got it with tofu, because there's something about Thai noodles with tofu that has a permanent stain on my heart- I love it! This is another place that I have no question I'll be coming back to- especially since I live in the area now.

Back in the day when I…read morelived closer to this restaurant, it was my go to place for Thai: treated my mom to numerous lunches, early dinners and late night dining. I have eaten many delicious meals here, a few faves are Drunken noodle with shrimp, Thai salad with peanut dressing and Pad se ew with chicken. In the past few months I have ordered delivery from Come on Thai and realized I have not dined IRL for a very long time. I decided after completing some errands in this area I was craving Thai. I stepped in and a lot had changed; the decor, gone are the cozy booths that had pillows, the amount of tables has shrunk, the entryway is filled with crates of beverages and a plasma screen shows Thai cooking from somewhere, probably Thailand? I was greeted and seated quickly and the exchange was courteous. I ordered the Drunken noodle** with shrimp and asked for a Thai beer recommendation. I ordered mildly spicy for Drunken Noodle. The Thai beer served in a frosted iced glass , Singha, is delicious. It is rich, crisp, strong hops. The DN arrived and I was excited to dig in and then..the disappointment set in. It wasn't bad just good. What makes this dish a favorite is the ingredients, the spice and the sauce! The sauce needs to be thick for the noodles to absorb it and hang on it, just tasted so-so. The amount of shrimps were plentiful however, there was no wow. I'm unsure if I had asked for spicy would have changed it but the sauce was watery. I am still searching for a restaurant to replicate a now defunct Bay Ridge Thai eatery called Top Thai. That restaurant, so small, but the food packed a punch and was amazing. The Drunken Noodle was on point every time no matter level of spice. I am not trying to compare Top Thai to Come on Thai, different chefs. I might have ordered the wrong dish. Or, like the decor, the food preparation has changed way too much. Color me disappointed. **"There are also local stories regarding the origins of the Drunken Noodle dish. One story is that a wife was upset by her husband's post-drinking behavior and decided to teach him a lesson. She added as many spices as she could find to his favorite noodles. She believed that the heavy mixture of spices including chilies would fix her husband's behavior"

We also got a lobster roll $25, combo ($5 extra for French fries and can of soda). Both dishes taste good, but the grilled sea bass is definitely the winner! Service: we were greeted right away when we entered the store. They have seating inside but they also have some seating outside in the back. The guy at the register is super friendly, explained to us what they have as special and made recommendations. We ordered, paid and another server brought our food to the table when it was done. That server was also super friendly. We will definitely come back!

The place is small inside so we decided to sit outside because it was a beautiful day. We had to tell them it wasn't a good look to have large garbage cans and a motor bike where we have to eat. They removed the garbage cans. We had the grilled octopus and it was perfectly seasoned and tender. The grilled Bronzini was a nice size and it was really good but I had to ask if they would grill the other side. The fried snapper needed more seasoning for my taste but overall the food was good.

**Real Georgian food, right in Bay Ridge**…read more I am Georgian, so I know our food -- and Ubani is the real deal. We had the megruli khachapuri, amazing khinkali, and the best mixed shish kebab, plus more. Everything tasted like home: fresh, generous portions, full of flavor. The atmosphere is the warmest and friendliest -- cozy, welcoming, and the staff treats you like family. This is the kind of place that makes you proud of Georgian hospitality. The best Georgian restaurant in Bay Ridge, hands down. We will be back!

Beet salad was a hit served with big chunks of tender beets. I'm not sure if they boiled and chilled the beets or used another technique to soften them up, but it came out nicely. This time we opted for the khachapuri imeruli. It was delicious. I've yet to come across a khachapuri that I've disliked. Dough was crispy and flakey. Cheese was melty and gooey. Always such a cozy delight. We had the khinkali again - this time with cheese filling. It's a nice vegetarian friendly option, but I prefer the meat or vegetable blend fillings. Cheese in the khinkali was similar to the khachapuri, so it was redundant to order the two together. Would definitely recommend the khinkali but would pick a different filling if you're getting khachapuri. For the main course, we shared the shkmeruli - a roasted chicken in a creamy garlic sauce. I've seen this listed as chicken tabaka elsewhere. It was excellent! Less garlicky than the one I had a Saperavi earlier in the week. Chicken was juicy but the sauce was the star. We dipped the nipples of the khinkali in the sauce to maximize usage. Good list of Georgian wines. Full bar plus some beers including a Georgian one. Service brought out the dishes in a well paced manner. They were very patient as we lounged in their backyard. It was a very comfortable outdoor dining set up. There is one, spacious single occupancy restroom.
