We took our son to Luluano's for dinner for his 25th Birthday we got there 30 minutes before our reservation, we were greeted and seated immediately. The staff is courteous and work well together, I placed an empty dish to the side and a waiter came out of nowhere and took the plate immediately. We didn't get dessert, we were full from the delicious meal, but they did bring out a complementary tartufo & put candles in it. I ordered the chicken cutlet parm w/ vodka sauce and a Luliano's Vodka pie(small) through delivery. I found the chicken cutlet on both the pasta and pie to be really dry and kind of bland. The vodka sauce with penne was the only highlight probably because of the much needed moisture. This was one of the worst experiences ever. We went there (bunch of friends) for an afternoon lunch and drinks. My sister and I both ordered a shot of Absolut vodka and a beer chaser. When the drinks arrived, we did the shot and it definitely was NOT Absolut!!! As soon as I drank it I asked the waitress what that was bc is tasted like rubbing alcohol!!! 2 hours later, my head was spinning and I was so nauseous, I spent the rest of the night barfing my brains out, I was sicker than a dog!!! Tried this quaint family restaurant. Very nice warm atmosphere. Only Street parking in the area so beware. I would give it 5 stars because everything was wonderful. The focaccia was served fresh and warm with olive oil and balsamic. For dipping. The fried Calamari was perfect. Great portion fried crisp and light. Sauce accompaniment with fresh lemon was an excellent match. We ordered the Gnocchi with Bolognese sauce. The gnocchi was homemade and delicious served with melted cheese and generous sauce. The Spaghetti with clams in white sauce was delicious as well. A little more clams would have made it 5 stars.. But otherwise, it was delicious. We tried the red sangria which was complimentary with two entrees. Surprisingly, it was the best I've had and that even topped Spain's! Hooray on that. The service was excellent. The food took longer than expected to arrive, but at least it was not cold. I ordered the chicken parm in vodka sauce, they were nice enough to accommodate my request to swap penne for linguine. They could have been more generous on the cheese. It tasted good but I felt like it could have used more garlic or anything else to add more flavor. I tried my man's chicken scarpariello with added sausage (+$5). I've ordered this numerous times in CT and it's heavier on the sauce. I was surprised there were absolutely no peppers and it was not even mild with spice, it had no spice at all. We are spicy fans, so I was disappointed. I tried the piece of garlic bread that came with the order and immediately spat it out. It was hard. Reminded me of frozen pizza dough from school lunch. I almost forgot we had the burrata. It was too creamy for me. Not sure if thats how it supposed to be. I thought it would be more on the fresh mozz side. Can you remember when you were a kid, and you had pizza from a spot in the neighborhood that was so consistently phenomenal, that THEIR presentation of pizza... their sauce, their crust, how they cook it *just* right... THAT was what stamped the idea of what Pizza was, in your head...? That is EXACTLY what you'll be served from Luliano's. I ordered a Large Pie, well done, and some Mozzarella Sticks, extra sauce. Delivery time was prompt; 30 minutes, tops. We open the pizza box. ... Beams of light shot out of the box while soft bells chimed and angels sang. Mozzarella sticks alone were typical mozzarella sticks. However, dipped in the little cup of sauce that Luliano's blessed us with... Mozzarella Sticks turned to Heaven Sticks. The sauce is delicious. You can taste the TIME that merlot-colored cup of sauce spent simmering on the stove. After consuming the mozzarella sticks (dipped in the blessed deep-red dressing) I drank the remaining sauce from the cup. I have no shame. None. Then, it was time for pizza. I reopened the box; the bells, the angels... It was beautiful. I had a hard time choosing a starter-slice, because I'd be ruining the perfection that I was feasting my eyes on. I grabbed a slice; It didn't 'flop'. The slice held firm; straight as an arrow. Impressive. Very impressive. I took my first bite. I took another bite. One more. Why wasn't I "blown away"?!? ... Because I've had THIS before... It tasted *exactly* like the pizza I used to have in my old neighborhood, when I was a kid. Enjoying a slice of Luliano's Pizza allowed me to relive one of the most enjoyable memories of my childhood. Taking a bite of the crust tasted like a bite of Peasant bread; It was so delicious. The sauce was only mildly acidic; Not overpowering but just enough flavor to do it's duty. The cheese was perfect; not one trace of excessive oil floating on top of the cheese. Overall: A perfect balance of fresh, wood-fired bread, extensively simmered sauce and a perfect helping of mozzarella. (Hence why I ordered three small, to split and have variety ) My go to is the white prosciutto! I've been to many brick oven Pizzeria's in my time and I know what it should taste like. The dough on the pizza was sub par. The Tomato sauce had little flavor, and the toppings weren't good at all. Just returned from brunching here and after 2 hours my belly is still nicely full and happy. We have always enjoyed their regular dine in menu items and have occasionally ordered their fried calamari or whole pizzas for delivery. Its always delicious and never a bad meal but I was blown away by their prix fixe brunch menu. It came with a gratis glass of alcohol or non-alcohol beverage which is a rarity now in Bay Ridge, a truly generous size entree (in my opinion a nice selection) and a decadent dessert (cannoli, tiramisu or a bowl of gelato) No minature size anything here that's for sure and coffee or tea. The food was exceptionally fresh, hot and very good. Cannoli took a walk with me home cause I was too full. We will be coming back again to try their other offerings soon. read more

Horrible customer service!!! Been ordering take out pizza since corona started. My kids love the margarita pizza. So we always order the two pie special that they run from Tuesday to Thursday for $29. Two margaritas usually run about $32-33 with the special. Anything other than the Classico or the margarita they charge you a few dollars extra. Today I tried to order for my kids ( a large margarita pie and a large sofia Lorenza pie) and someone new answers the phone has no clue about the special and charges me more than the pies charge if I order them off the menu. When I call back to ask why he gives me some story first that menu prices went up ( which the did not) then he said well that's the special I ordered was $38!!!! What I want to know is how can a special be MORE $ than the menu price??? read more
