Met family here for breakfast. There were 7 in our group, and they accommodated us fairly quickly. It wasn't too busy since we came in on a Thursday around 9am. Service was quick and friendly. No complaints with the food. I always get the german pancake combo breakfast and share it. It's plenty for two people. It's so yummy with the butter, powdered sugar, and lemon slices! The combo comes with 2 eggs and either bacon, sausage, or ham. The restaurant estaurant was clean. Would recommend.

I'm so happy this restaurant is still here. I hope they can stay for many more years. When I want good, fluffy, pancakes this is my go to place. The service is always fast, efficient, and friendly. I've never had an order completely wrong here. The food is always served hot, well seasoned, and tasty! Yes, the decor is a little outdated but I think it adds to the awesomeness of this place. I hope they keep the tables forever! This is our breakfast place so we haven't tried a whole lot of other items on the menu. It's now on my radar to do that so I will update when I try something other than breakfast. Go here. Order some delicious food. Leave full and happy.

I love Elmers in general. It has always been a solid place with great food and customer service. Today was a turning point. It was an early dinner about 4;30. When I entered only 2 tables occupied. The employees were all on the overflow side of the restaurant visiting. One gal got up and seated me with a menu. I ordered an ice tea, cobb salad and fries. My ice tea came quickly and was good. It took awhile but I received my salad and fries. First look at the salad it was covered with egg, extra extra tomatoes, bacon and avocado. The blue cheese crumbles and olives were missing. I couldn't see the lettuce. I took one bite and knew something was wrong. Once I removed the toppings I found 2 lettuce cores, specs of bread crumbs, specs of cantelope and rotten lettuce. It literally looked like it was pulled out of a garbage can or salad scraps off of a peoples plates. This salad usually has a nice fresh grilled sliced chicken breast on top and this one had some white translucent mystery fake meat on posing as chicken. I was blown away! Afraid of what I just ingested. This is BS! I showed the waitress but she didn't take it to the kitchen to show them she just put it in the bin and told me she would take it off my bill. This was a $16 salad! NOTE: This place needs to be inspected because I'm sure there are many secrets in the kitchen and with the people working here.

I give it a 4. During Covid times so staff were wearing masks. Party or 2 adults & 2 children. Food was decent. Price was average close to $40. Time to order from eating wasn't bad at all and they seemed busy during the lunch hour. Our server Ruth was so polite to us & the kiddos. She offered bibs for the littles & even chatted up with them. Overall good service, decent food. Would we return, yes. Thanks Elmers

    This looks DELICIOUS!

The customer service needs an overhaul, the water tasted moldy, but the food is amazing. Oh well, let's eat.

Would have preferred that the cook in kitchen did not wear his mask on down on his chin. Food was good though.

We've been for both breakfast (pictures attached & speak for themselves :D) and lunch- both times were delicious! Make sure you go early enough or there's a chance they will already be sold out of something on the specials board as happened to one of the guests in our party of four. The hubby says they make a great bloody Maria with their own spices and nice veggie accompaniments. Same thumbs up for their margaritas too. Not really a place to take large groups but given their hospitality, I'm sure they would try. Best to call in advance for that need. Super friendly staff, it almost feels like you've gone to their home and treated like family. You've likely seen the place if you've driven on McLoughlin/99E as they're right on the corner but only accessed from northbound side. A small parking lot but since it's the north end of town you're likely to find a spot on the street too. Support their restaurant ... would love to have them be around for a long time!

After waiting for about 20 seconds (he went to go check if a table was clear... and someone was just finishing cleaning a lovely table by the window), we were led to an another smiling person who seated us. The place was busy, but not too crowded. It was a Sunday around 11 AM. Parking in the lot was no problem, although I know this area gets much busier when the Milwaukie Farmer's Market is going, so you may want to keep that in mind for May through October. When the market is going on... I believe you can park in the Library parking lot just about a block away or street parking on Main, etc. Our waitress, a third person, was also very nice and quickly brought us water and asked if we wanted to order something to drink before we ordered food. We did. Two of us ordered regular coffee and I ordered a beautiful butterfly pea flower blue plant based latte made with almond milk (see photo). It was delicious! They have so many interesting drinks, I definitely want to come back and try several more. One person in our party was omnivore, another was vegetarian/pescatarian, and another was vegan. They had no problems, accommodating all of us. They also had several tasty looking specials on a chalkboard on the wall. I have included a photo of our various foods and the menus. The servings were generous and delicious. We only live about six minutes away from here and sadly this is the first time we have been able to visit. We had planned to several other times, but it never worked out (note: they are closed Mondays). We will absolutely be back and this is a place we will regularly bring friends/family when they visit, for sure! Everything was fresh. Service was wonderful. Everyone was absolutely kind and lovely.

I always love the view of the river, and we especially enjoy when we get to see our housekeeper, Missy. Missy truly goes above and beyond. She always greets us warmly, checks to see if there's anything we need, and makes us feel so welcome. On our most recent stay, we originally had a room with one bed, but we usually get two because we like having the extra bed for our bags. We ended up moving rooms to the other end of the hotel. That morning, my husband had to rush off to work because he was running late, and we were quickly trying to get everything moved. Missy kindly told us not to worry or rush on her account, and that she would take care of cleaning the old room. About an hour after I got settled into the new room, there was a knock at the door--it was Missy! She had brought me two hangers I had accidentally left behind in our old room, and one of them even had my bracelet wrapped around it. I hadn't even realized I had left it behind. That small gesture meant so much to me. Missy is absolutely amazing and such an asset to the Rivershore. It's wonderful to see someone who genuinely cares about guests and goes out of her way to make sure everything is taken care of. Thank you, Missy, for always making our stays that much better! On a couple of other notes, if you enjoy gin, they have a Gompers gin made in Bend, Oregon in small batches. I don't usually drink gin, but this one is very smooth and delicious--and hard to find. Whenever we come to Oregon, we always pick up a few bottles to take back to Arizona for friends. Also, if you eat in the dining room, the sourdough bread is incredible. It has a perfectly crunchy crust and is honestly so good I could eat the whole loaf myself.
