This is a pretty good breakfast spot! I've had Sunny's delicious cinnamon rolls and finally made it in for breakfast. Decided to try the kitchen sink omelet with bacon, sausage, ham, spinach, mushrooms, peppers and cheese. It comes with hashbrowns and I went for their house made cinnamon toast. The omelet is huge and stuffed full with the fixings. I really enjoyed it, thought the hashbrowns could be a little bit crisper. My favorite part of the meal was the cinnamon toast with jam on it. Overall I enjoyed the meal. Their menu has a variety of options, including some lunch choices of sandwiches and burgers. Their cinnamon rolls are super good and they sell them in a pack to take home. Me and my family came to visit here and have a fun brunch. 4 adults 3 kids. Service was great but the kitchen forgot our ticket and we waited 1.5 for food. Server apologized and asked how we can make it better. We requested a discount for the wait and the manager Johnathan sent her back to tell us no. And offered us a gross looking banana bread pudding or to just leave. I thought this was inappropriate and not acceptable. My husband was searching for my review of Sunny's, but he couldn't find it. I thought, I didn't write a review the first time. (I wanted to know what we ordered, so we could try others from the menu). 2nd time here: I ordered the Mushroom & Swiss BUMP. This time, I noticed, the mushrooms were fresh. I seldom eat fresh mushrooms on my hamburger, so I only ate 1/4ths of mine, and had exchanged with hubby's Reuben Sandwich 1/4ths and onion rings. This time, I enjoyed their French Fries. First time in Oregon and the breakfast was amazing here! They make their own homemade toast and griddle-items which were absolutely delicious! The portions are huge and very shareable. The service was cordial and the food came out in a relatively good time. Walked into an almost empty restaurant at 2pm on a Sunday, and we were quickly greeted and sat at our table. Our server was friendly, and made sure we had waters right away. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite measure up to the service. I ordered a patty melt with fries, medium-well on the burger doneness. I will say that there is a lot of food for the money, but I really wish the quality was there. The burger was very thick and juicy, and when combined with two very thick slices of marble rye, it was almost impossible to eat. The rye bread itself seemed very dry, and there was just too much of it. The burger patty also had a meatloaf type consistency, which wasn't the most enjoyable. The dish came with a pile of fries, of which I could only eat half. They were pretty crispy on the outside, with a bit of "chip spice" mixed in here and there, but the interior of the fries were more pasty than fluffy. I don't want to give three stars and I don't want to give two stars so maybe somewhere in between those is fair. We went on Sunday around 10:30 AM and it was pretty busy which we kind of figured would happen. I would say, just like most restaurants post Covid staffing shortages seem to be an issue still. Ordered the biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs. The scrambled eggs were definitely overdone and very rubbery. The biscuits were super fluffy and cooked very well. They had a great flavor. The gravy was white with big chunks of sausage. I did add lots of salt and some hot sauce just to give it all some flavor. I probably would not get that item again if I went back. The French toast at the next table looked pretty solid. The person I was with got country fried steak, which came with scrambled eggs and hashbrowns. She said the steak was very good as well as the gravy. Hashbrowns could've probably been more crispy and the eggs were over done as well. After living in OR 8 years, I recently returned to visit family and I picked Sunny's for breakfast simply because it was the one place in the area I hadn't been to for breakfast. I now know I wasted 8 years and many breakfasts NOT going to Sunny's.
