One of our favorite restaurants; it's the best kind of neighborhood restaurant but also upscale and casual enough at the same time. Located in Timbergrove Heights area on T C Jester. We saw Chef Elliot there at dinner service tonight. The staff are top notch. The food is quality, cooked well, and are a good portion size for family style sharing. We got a few appetizers to share; mussels (4/5), Thai ribs (5/5), octopus (4.5/5), and cucumber salad (4/5). We split a very solid cheddar burger with fries (4/5). The highlights are the brussell sprouts for me, and the overall appetizer selection is hard to go wrong.

The food is fantastic the service was incredible everybody there was so nice and accommodating, the thai chili ribs had right amount of seasoning , the pork chop dish i absolutely devoured lmao it was very tender , the chimichurri steak could've been a little more seasoned and tender but giving it a 5 star because of service and attention to detail, and the ambiance was cozy with dim lighting.

Service was good, well the server didn't let us try our food before asking if it was good. Atmosphere was good. Issue was the food. My girlfriend got the beef stroganoff and it tasted like hamburger helper except even less flavorful? Also it was cold like it was microwaved? Ate a few bites of it and she threw it out. I got grits and shrimp, it was ok, idk why they don't remove the heads of the shrimp for you? Cheese grits didn't taste like grits at all but more like sweet potato. Not bad food just strange. Overall very expensive for bad food idk why its rated so high

Delicious rib and Brussels sprouts appetizer. They also offer a terrific wedge salad. Attentive services.

What a delicious little bistro! We did an early Galentine's dinner there last night and loved every minute of our experience. We started with wine, bread service and the crispy brussel sprouts, and then some of us split our mains because the portions are large. Those who didn't all went home with leftovers. My girlfriend and I split the wedge salad (was dressed perfectly) and the cod served a top a bed of crab and veggies (roasted okra, carrots, green beans). Loved this dish. Know that they charge $6 to split plates (they kindly told us in advance). And parking is tight, but there's some street parking, and we were also told we could park in front of the back building. 5 stars. Looking forward to another visit.

This place is so quaint yet upscale. The inside is very small, so I recommend calling for reservations, although we got in quickly when we arrived early. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The chef/owner was walking around greeting customers, I appreciate that. My son ordered a steak, he was very pleased. I tried a bite as well. I am not a steak fan so I cannot rate but it had a crisp outside and tender inside, flavor was good. I ordered the chili ribs from the shareable menu. I couldn't decide between that and the cucumber tomato salad so i ordered that to go. I'll rate tomorrow :-) The ribs were good, very smoky with a hint of spice and sweet. I don't usually eat mushrooms but i tried the ones served with the dish and they were fantastic The wine selection was great. They also have a select dessert menu. Turns out they were sold out so it must've been good. I saw the staff serve the last slice of pecan spice cake, it looked delicious. This place has several articles rated "best" in local magazines/papers. I would like to come back and try those dishes. They (articles) are listed on the website and framed on the walls of the establishment. I truly enjoyed my evening at Elliot's and look forward to returning.

The service was excellent! They attended me & my friend quickly even in a full restaurant. We were recommended delicious plates with so much flavor. The ambiance of the place is calm & cozy. Has low lighting & nicely decorated.

The appetizers, mussels and octopus, stole the show. The sauce of the mussels was so good- I could have the soup alone as a meal. The steak was a good value but not my favorite. My guess it was 12-16 oz but it had a lot of silver skin making jt hard to eat. I also thought it had WAY too much butter where I couldn't taste the meat. The cook on it was off, ordered medium rare and came out rare. Likely will come back for the appetizers!

My husband saw this place on instagram and decided we should try it. We pulled into the parking lot which was completely full so I called to see where to park and they said down the street by the warehouses. Didn't seem very safe parking our nice car so far from the restaurant. We had reservations and were seated right away. The interior is very small and they had the servers answering calls and seating people. The service was slow, but they were all very nice. We ordered the mussels as our appetizer. They were delicious with great flavors. We then ordered the duck and the seafood pasta. Both dishes were very disappointing. My husband and I had a few bites of each and just decided we couldn't eat it, the pasta tasted liked burn garlic and the taste was so overpowering that I just couldn't eat more than 2-3 bites. Definitely won't be coming back.

All the service here was impeccable. Friday night dinner on the patio was a treat. The restaurant definitely ramps up as the night progresses so i'm glad I was able to snag a table at 6:30. I thought the food was good but not as great as everyone's making it out to be? I'd come back to try other dishes.

Been meaning to try this cozy date spot for a while! It got pretty crowded during prime time but we were able to snag a table without wait when we arrived around 5-6pm. The servers were pleasant and warm, perfectly complementing the ambiance of the restaurant. The mussels are a MUST! The bucket comes with 4 pieces of savory toast and some of the fattest mussels I've ever seen, bathed in a delicious spicy seafood sauce. Our next favorite dish was the duck! The meat was perfectly cooked - slightly rare on the inside, crispy on the outside, and paired really well with the sweet potato spread it came with. We ordered the Gorgonzola Brussels spouts by recommendation but felt like the flavors were too strong with the sauce and blue cheese. Would probably pass on this dish next time, but I'm looking forward to coming back and trying some of their other main items!

Went here for me and my girlfriends anniversary. We got seated almost instantly in the nice outside area with no reservation and our waiter was super nice and offered a special meal we eventually got. Very good appetizers and steak, so glad we got to try this place. Will definitely be back again.

Is this place under construction ? Iv always wanted to try it but every time I drive by it has tarps hanging in the front.

They have an outdoor seating area that lies under the tarps or shade fabrics. No construction as far as I know.

    Are there happy hour specials?

I don't know, but good luck getting them to answer the phone to ask.

He ended up being one of the best aspects of our experience that evening. Our waitress wasn't nearly as good. We started by asking for ice in the water from the waitress since they just give you room temp water. After 10 mins of seeing her serve other tables and ignoring our request, we then figured the water boy would make it happen...and sure enough he did. We then ordered the grilled oysters, which are very lightly cooked, almost seemingly steamed more than anything, but they were very good regardless of the cooking method with the sauces and garnishes and pickle juice added. Next up was ordering the entrees. The menu here is a little strange with numerous vegan choices with strange titles and only a few items with protein. To top it off, there are not many choices period. The waitress explained that the left side is basically the apps, and the right side is basically the entrees. I knew I wanted to try the wagyu flat iron steak which is priced pretty high here, compared to other wagyu flat irons I've had at other restaurants across the US. We couldn't really decide on a 2nd main dish then the waitress mentioned the off the menu special which was a scallop pasta so we picked that thinking it sounded delicious. The entrees come out about 15 mins later, and we take our first bites and we both thought, oh no, if we share the other person across from me isn't going to like this dish because it's too salty. I tried the steak first and noticed the sauce being extra salty, then I tried the pasta and the pasta was way worse, but the scallops didn't seem to be affected. We immediately told the waitress the next time she stopped by....and she just said okay, and walked away. I figured she would go get the manager....but nope...she just kept on serving other tables. At this point we thought to ourselves only the oyster app was decent.....and no reason to look at the dessert menu since we had already spent over $100 on food we could hardly eat. Sure enough, the waitress stops by a 2nd time and asks if we'd like to see the dessert menu. I couldn't leave fast enough and told her we'll skip. Needless to say we both left hungry as the portions were not only not edible, but also fairly small. The water boy also stopped by and offered to turn on the heater if we get cold. Boy, I wish he was our waiter instead. For a supposedly Michelin-starred restaurant, I feel they really got this one wrong.

I was lucky to find a spot right by the door, but as soon as I got out of my car, the rain started to fall. Found a perfect spot right inside, and was given a menu by the nice bar staff. I had a few things in mind, but I decided on the lunch risotto. This arrived quickly, and I dug right in, especially enjoying the roasted carrots with the lemon parmesan risotto. There were other vegetables-some I couldn't even identify-but the ones I did try all blended together nicely. Being a lunch dish, the size was smaller which was perfect for me. Bar area became much busier since some parties from outside came in due to the downpour, so the establishment went from somewhat quiet to much louder, but everything still seemed to be running smoothly. Wow! I'm not sure what I expected when booking a resy for brunch on a Sunday at State of Grace, but…read moreit completely exceeded my expectations. Extremely kind service from the hosts through the entire team. The best balance of conversational and storytelling without being overbearing. We never felt rushed and they made the experience feel personal, and felt we truly got to know the restaurant and reasoning behind a few of the dishes just through their excitement. We ordered coffees along with the crab hush puppies, gumbo, avocado toast, and ended with their massive cinnamon roll. It was the perfect spread and everything was so flavorful! (My only critique was I wish the cinnamon roll was warmed up and served with a bit more icing). The interior was fabulous with an amazing aroma. I would highly recommend for anywhere from an intimate date to a group brunch! Beautiful bar as well, I cannot wait to come again another night for dinner. Upon exit, we were also departed with a complimentary cookie - super cute touch!

She provided excellent service along with her assistant, Jonathan. Enjoyed an espresso martini & tried some of the carajillo! Appetizers were the highlight of this meal (minus the hamachi crudo; sauce was super weird). Enjoyed the woodfried oysters (6pc) & gulf crab hushpuppies. Oysters from Texas & Alabama were delicious! Faves were Key Allegro, Mermaid Tears, & Matagorda Pearls. Capo Hugo was alright. Sides: pommes puree (whipped potato) & wood grilled asparagus - these were good Got a bite of the overpriced burger and that was the best entree out of the ones that were ordered. Fries were delicious and addicting too! Classic blackened redfish was ok; nothing special. Le Entrecôte (steak frites) was also ok; some steak pieces were hard to chew. Was NOT a fan of the lobster fettuccine. Surprisingly bland and barely any lobster meat for the cost of that dish. Ended the night with dessert. Basque cheesecake tasted great! Banana foster was pretty good. Grab a cookie on the way out of the restaurant! Don't see myself coming back here for dinner, but I'm open to trying their brunch menu.

It was a slow Sunday night and sometimes that can throw off a kitchen and or server. But with…read moreeveryone at the rodeo (so we figured) we had most of the place to ourselves. We had been here more than a year ago and it was so crowded. The prices are not sky high, but this is not an inexpensive restaurant. So we expect things to be very good or excellent. It was! The service was simply excellent, the food also excellent and it is such a beautiful place. I had the chicken and kept thinking that the dish might need salt. There was none on the table. But two bites in and I realized it was perfect and needed nothing. My wife ordered a Ramos Gin fizz. You cannot get those just anywhere, and like my Gin Martini it was perfect. It was our anniversary and they gave us some prosecco on the house and remembered it with happy anniversary wishes written on our dessert dish. Happily we will return.

Omelet with racketeering and crawfish etouffee was tasty Areas to improve 1. We booked patio because we wanted to be outside - they had a large baby shower that took over the large room and patio. It looks like it had been planned in advance so it would have been nice to know that the patio was not available . 2. Coffee service - the cup is really small and our server spilled the coffee out of the cup several times. That is just unprofessional to me when the cup is then soaking in the dish with coffee outside the cup. Plus it wasn't refilled as often. 3. Dishes are hit or miss - his shrimp and grits seemed to be a small portion and just bland and blah. 4. Restrooms are really dark 5. Patio outside looks unappealing there are dead plants and lanky wax leaf which gives terrible allergies. Also they have fake plants and also live ones inside the restaurant, but the inside orchids were dried up and dead looking so not fresh or appealing either. I know it's under new management so it might be hit or miss.

Portions are a great size and both items we order were delicious-chicken fried chicken and curry flight. Even though we ordered mild spice, it was a little spicy for me. My favorite was the lamb that was part of the curry flight. I will definitely go back to try some of the other items. Highly recommend!

The drinks and small plates are self-serve, so you get that yourself. As for the service, it was OK. They were very kind but only one person was working, so they kept forgetting a lot of stuff. For example, we didn't have napkins for a while and we got regular naan when we ordered mozzarella naan (which was meh). I recommend just getting their garlic naan. Tastes the best. We got the curry flight with butter chicken, vindaloo, and saag. They all tasted good but was missing that buttery "umph". I wish the vindaloo was less gamey tasting and spicier. The rice that came with it was a bit dry too. We also ordered masala fries which I did enjoy. I liked the beans on it! And it wasn't soggy. Would love to come back and try their other dishes.
