I want to express my disappointment in work that was performed at my home April 23rd and my entire experience with Elite Plumbing. Elite plumbing was contacted, through Yelp. Carlos arrived Saturday around noon or 1:00. Around 3:00 and the faucet worked. $1,500.00 was the price to do the job. Carlos said he would be back Monday to hook up the shower head, which he was going to charge another $299.00. When my son came by he asked where all the parts were. I thought Carlos had left them on the counter, but he didn't leave them all. The proof that told the story of what needed replacement was missing. The faucet and nob were there but nothing to indicate if the cartridge or valve needed replacement. My son's belief, and a different plumber's belief, is that only the cartridge may have needed replacement, not the valve. Then my son pointed out that the trim kit Carlos had chosen didn't match anything in the bathroom in style or finish. On Monday Carlos came to finish the work. Will came as well. Will seemed outraged that I ask for compensation for the improper trim pieces. On looking back on at what transpired next, the idea of finishing the work was to intimidate me into thinking my bathroom was filled with mold and rotting framework and the entire bathroom needed to be torn down and rebuilt. Not only did yet another employee from Elite show up but they called in Preferred Choice to corroborate the story and start an insurance claim. They emphasized how I could get a whole new bathroom at the expense of my deductible. The logic being, only a portion of the wall was damaged but they would not be able to match the tile that is there. So, the insurance company would be on the hook for a whole new bathroom. I put a hold on the claim to think this through. There was, is, no water damage to any of the 2x4's now exposed. There is no apparent water damage on the opposite side of the damaged wall. It seems to me that sheetrock would show some indication if water was present. There could possibly have been moisture present when Preferred Choice came because Elite had water running briefly and no shower head was attached. That could have caused the readings they were seeing. I contacted a plumber I have used a few times and have been happy with their work. They were not available to help with the initial problem. Though this plumber didn't say what he would have charged to do the work already done, he did say, Elite took advantage of the situation. When I told him what was supposed to have been completed on Monday was going to cost $299.00, he showed me exactly what needed to be done to complete that task. All that was needed was 2 screws to attach the shower pipe to the 2x4. Wow, interesting how they treat their customers. Though the 2nd plumber did not have the tool Preferred Choice had, he did not see any damage in either the wood exposed or the sheetrock on the opposite wall. He also mentioned that when the insurance adjuster evaluated the claim they may have rejected it and I would be on the hook for the remodel. read more

We had a broken seal on toilet drain causing a water leak. Being a renter never sure how this could go or how we would be treated. Louis Rascon was our plumber and did an excellent job taking the point on this repair. He called the restoration company in order to protect the landlord and kept us informed as to what is going everyday. Took the week and ended on Saturday. Louis came out early to set the toilet after the cement had dried so we could have the routine back of using that bathroom again which is very important to my elderly mother. If Louis is the representative of all of Elite than truly they are a fantastic company to have fixing plumbing issues. Side note about Louis. Very detailed. Clean. Attention to detail. Dust from Jack hammer was minimal and used the air scrubber to cut down on dust in the house. Had to pour cement and the prep area had a drop cloth used to keep the area clean of any spillage. His assistant was attentive as well. Clean language, nothing off color in any way. A true credit to Elite Rooter. The job that was done was through an insurance company and so payment I am told was at the end of the full job. I am the tenant not the owner. Keith with Elite started to call me for payment. Not my place. I forwarded my landlord his request. I did not give out the landlord's info because they should have it. They accepted the job. This past week I get a notice of Lien on the house using my name as the owner. I am the renter. Keith has not responded to my voice mails. The lien company has been told to cease and desist immediately. Would not use this company ever again. Like Louis though, good man, Keith not so much. read more

WARNING - be cautious if you call Elite Rooter, they called out "Copper State Home Builders" without my permission (remodeling company) and attempted to get me to agree to send large bills to my insurance company Responsiveness: 5/5 (this company is super responsive/friendly) Day 1: Two guys came out right away when I called about a kitchen sink clog. Said they were unable to clear and had to come in morning to put camera in. Day 2: Three guys, yes THREE came out to put a camera in, immediately went into a long speech about bringing in insurance company to replace pipes and offering to pay deductible/part of it. I did not want to bring insurance in and communicated this. They insisted that their remodel company come out, Copper State Home Builders to make a report while everything was wet so they would have an insurance claim. Told me not to tell insurance company anything and refer insurance to call them direct. After me saying I really don't want to do that they told me they could jet the pipes for a quick band aid for ~$1,200 but told me the problem would come back. I relented and agreed to have remodeler come after a lot of persuasion only if they agreed to come out and take a look at no charge. They agreed to this immediately and insisted on staying on site until their buddies at remodeling company arrived. I agreed initially, then looked up google reviews of the remodeling company they called while the Elite Rooter plumbers waited outside as I was very concerned about them going through insurance when I did not want to go that route. Found multiple concerning reviews of people who appeared to have similar experience to me. (plumber called them without my permission, etc...) At this point I went outside and told them I wanted to pay them for their time so far and cancel everything. They DID NOT like this. Their card reader was having problems, insisted they wait for remodel company while they tried to fix card reader and could put time today on the bill to insurance. Two out of three of them left and one person sat in their car outside for a good hour. Remodel person came, left, card reader still broken so I paid with check to get rid of them as I did not trust them even 1%. Called a different company, they fixed pipes right away. We recently needed the services of Elite Rooter to determine why water was backing up in the shower. After a methodical assessment they determined where the blockage was located.. They were thoroughly professional in every aspect of assessing the issue, and the necessary steps needed to rectify the problem. We want to share that Julio and his partner worked very hard removing the 5 foot deep by 5 foot wide hole needed to access the affected pipe. They found a 10 foot long tree root inside the pipe. We called Elite Rooter out to our condo complex at around 5 on a Saturday and Brian arrived within an hour. Another plumber had already been called by another owner in the complex and they couldn't fix the problem. In fact, they wanted $900 to remove the toilet to snake! The problem was on HOA property, so we called Elite Rooter for a second opinion. They should have been the first call. Not only were they quick to arrive, Brian was very nice and he really knew what he was doing. He fixed the problem very quickly using the sewer cleanout. The cost was outrageously reasonable. This was the only rooter company in town that had a $99 sewer scope fee. This is extremely common in Denver. We even have a company named $99 rooter. The scope of the work is truly only worth $99. We have this service done with nearly every property inspection. I own a real estate company in Denver. When I was purchasing a home in Phoenix all of the companies were ready to charge over $200! This is to take less than 30 minutes to find a clean out or pull a toilet, run some water, run the scope camera (which looks like a hose) down the sewer line to where it drops into the city line, and then turn off the water and pull the camera back slowly checking out the line and recording. It is a pretty simple job. The first time I attempted to use this company they called on the day of and were going to be over an hour late missing their appointment and the lady at the office was not answering. I was in from out of town and my appointment time was important to me. The second scope appointment went well and the tech they sent out was very knowledgeable. read more
