So I called, thinking drains need snaking, they were very slow. He and one of his employees came out - took the septic tank caps off. John threw rocks into the septic and said that my tank needs pumping...after it took a long time to make a splash. Then they went on the roof to send a camera into the pipes - decided that probably the drain pipes were bad. I listened to all Brandon had to say. Then he asked for $1,200 made out to himself and not his company. Little did I know that reputable plumbing companies do not ask for money when they show up to find out what the problem is, nor ask that checks be made out to themself. My daughter scolded me for that. Everyone shocked that I was even charged. And now I feel like a stupid old woman, like I should have known. So I guess Brandon needs the money more than I do even though that amount is more than a month Social Security for me. Later after they left, I had to go out and put the septic tank caps back on. John un-wound a garden hose completely off the reel. Why he had to do that beats me. I haven't the strength to put it back on. John left a shovel here. He can come get it. Oh and they don't bother to close the yard gates. If you own dogs be sure to check that after they're gone.

When we called, Rich answered the phone right away and was incredibly helpful. He quickly scheduled an appointment for us, and a plumber arrived at 8:30 the next morning to replace the damaged water softener. We were very impressed with how efficient, friendly, and professional they were. The plumber was patient and took the time to explain why the pipe had burst and gave us very helpful recommendations to prevent similar problems in the future. Their follow-up service was also outstanding. A few days later, Sunday night, we were surprised to discover that we had no hot water. We texted Rich to ask what might have happened, and he responded very quickly. He explained that when the water softener pipe burst, the large amount of water spraying out may have extinguished the pilot light on the nearby water heater. He then patiently walked us through the steps to check it. Sure enough, the pilot light was out, exactly as he had explained. I just had Scott with AZ Hydro Jet out at my house to hydro jet and camera my main line. First of…read moreall I called several plumbing companies and was quoted $900-$1500 for this service! When I found AZ Hydrojet on google offering the service for $300 I was a little suspicious that it was too good to be true. Scott called me back right away and discussed the issues I was experiencing with my plumbing (main line blockage) and what he would do to inspect it. He has a truck mounted system so it's the real deal, not just some guy with a cheap pressure washer spraying my lines. I had a blockage about 6 months ago and that plumber just snaked the lines to clear it, it worked for a short time and the problem came back. That company wanted to camera my lines for $450. When Scott said he will camera it for FREE with the hydro jet service I was sold. Scott came out the next morning (today) and cleared the clog right away. He discovered a tree root growing into my main line near the sewer, not great news but at least I have an answer and know what I need to do to fix the problem. He never tried to up sell me or pressure me to spend more money on additional services. In fact he doesn't even do replacement or repairs like that, he just finds the problem and clears the line. He used a sensor to detect the problem area and marked in the yard where I'll have to replace the pipe. I feel like he was very straight forward and honest with what was going on. Now I know where all the pipes run in my yard and that the ones under my house are in decent enough shape so I won't have to worry about them for some time. The pipes in the yard are another story but at least I know how to proceed and can get accurate quotes from plumbers on exactly what the problem is and where the lines are that need replacing. I told Scott I couldn't find much info on his company or reviews online and he said he's not a big web guy, most of his business is referrals and plumbers contracting him to do this type of work on their jobs. I told him I was going to do a review anyway because I was really happy with the work he performed and the price he did it for. Later in the day, after the contractor had left, I…read morewas taking my recycle bin out to the street for pickup and saw where some water or other fluid was dumped in the gravel of the landscaping we just had done a few months ago. I don't know what chemicals etc. are in the water that was dumped but the fluid was dumped right next to fairly new plants and left an unsightly hole in the gravel. Further, I don't know what if any harm may be done to the new plants. I have ZERO tolerance for contractors who act disrespectfully towards the property where they're working. The place where the water was dumped was just a couple of feet from the driveway. If the water was dumped in the driveway, it would run down to the curb and follow the slope of the street as drainage and NOT risk any harm being done to our new plants. If we notice any adverse changes to our plants, there will be some follow-on activity with P&L. Just careless. I have to admit that I am skeptical of any company that provides "virtual quotes" without seeing the work site for themselves. But they requested a couple of pictures of old water heater installation to assess the job, provided a quote "sight unseen", and did the work with no extra cost added (always a concern with virtual quotes). They were the cheapest of the 3 bids that I got. No long-winded sales pitch that I should install a $5K tankless unit. The tech provided instructions on the annual flushing process. I'm satisfied. I'm hoping that at last I have a go-to plumber.
