One technician came out, looked at the issue and resolved it. They didn't send a creepy sales guy out to my home that's going to try to upsell me on a water system I don't need. I had a mixed experience. The first time Bo came out to give a quote to install a gas pipe in the kitchen it was a good experience and the quote was reasonable. When he came back, it was a different experience. The wrong type of tape and pipe connector was used for a gas pipe that he installed in our kitchen. He used a type tape and a connector for water not gas. The wrong pipe connector type was not noticed until maintenance was being done. Bo discussed personal and political issues which isn't professional. He was there to do a job. He left the work area a mess and didn't attempt to clean up. Bo didn't appear to want to work. When he first arrived, he said he was unable to shut the main gas line off. We had to do it. He didn't have any WD-40 or other type of lubricant to complete the job, fortunately we had some available. read more

I was very disappointed with my experience with Fast Layne Plumbing. My water heater failed after only 2.5 years, and when I contacted the company, I was told they would only replace it if I paid $1,200. I explained that I felt this was unreasonable and was told by the technician, Nathaniel, that a supervisor named Daniel would come to my home the next day to inspect the situation and see what could be done. Unfortunately, that never happened. Instead, Daniel called the following morning and simply repeated that the replacement cost would be $1,200. When I asked if they could at least provide me with the replacement unit so I could find someone else to install it, he told me I could get it myself. I also asked about repair options and was informed that the technicians work on commission. That raised concerns for me because it creates little incentive to repair a unit when a replacement generates a larger sale. One final note for anyone relying heavily on online reviews: I know the company offers discounts in exchange for posting reviews, so keep that in mind when evaluating their ratings. Needed 9 shut off valves replaced (old ones wouldn't close). They came out for a quote when they said they would and I hired them on the spot as they were able to complete the work later that day for a price comparable to another quote a I received. They came back a few hours later and in about 1.5 hrs the 2 guys finished the job. They even attempted to put in a new faucet cartridge that I was going to replace myself. They weren't able to because the old one broke off inside the faucet well so they recommended I get a new faucet. I was able to get it all out and do it myself though. read more

I contacted Fast Layne Plumbing after returning home from a weekend trip and discovering a leak under my kitchen sink. Instead of focusing on the water leak, Adrian Sandersius told me he detected what he believed to be a natural gas leak. After inspecting my home, he described the situation as urgent and presented me with an estimate of approximately $41,000. For context, I had previously hired this company for a major plumbing project earlier this year that cost approximately $70,000. Hearing that another major repair was allegedly needed was overwhelming. I became emotional about the constant costs of my home, so the technician then called the company's founder, David Layne, to perform a second inspection. After completing his inspection, David Layne also concluded that the work was necessary but reduced the estimate to approximately $25,000. I was confused by the large difference between the two estimates. I repeatedly expressed that I wanted to obtain a second opinion before moving forward. I was told that gas work requires specialized expertise, that permits contributed significantly to the cost, and that other companies might not be willing to perform the work. Feeling that the situation was urgent, I signed the contract. About an hour later, I became uncomfortable with the situation and called to pause the job so I could seek additional opinions. I then had three independent plumbing companies inspect my home. All three told me they did not detect a natural gas leak. Instead, they concluded that the odor was related to the moisture and conditions created by the leak under my sink, and none recommended the extensive gas-related repairs I had been quoted. Based on my experience, I no longer have confidence in the recommendations I received from Fast Layne Plumbing. I felt pressured to make a costly decision before I had the opportunity to verify the diagnosis, and the findings from three independent plumbers were completely different from what I was initially told. For that reason, I cannot recommend this company and encourage anyone facing a major repair to obtain multiple independent opinions before signing a contract. They quoted me $3500 to replace my water heater which I've never paid more than 1000$. I ended up passing and got it done for 1000$. I can imagine how many old people and women who have no other options end up paying.. it's a sad world when you get these kind of greedy ass companies assuming they're that valuable. 1000$ is including water heater. Started off well, ended up being a wormhole of a problem. I'm not one to write bad reviews, in fact I don't think I ever have but alas I must here. 1. They have me the expectation that they'd come out same day of the call, that didn't happen and nobody called me back to tell me they weren't coming out after they said they were. 2. they came out, nice guy, put a camera down my pipes, said they needed to be flushed because they were trash, waited another day for them to flush them out. I was instructed by two individuals to then not use my sinks until somebody came back out to re camera them. 3. The big issues was that I waited over 2 DAYS for them to tell me just to use my sinks (so I was essentially charged $1200 for an incomplete service). 4. My biggest issue with the statement above was that I called 8 times over the span of two days with people telling me I was next on the the route and service requests had been put in. Only for me to be called off a random workers number saying I was good to just use my pipes again. My biggest problem was lack of communication and over promising/under delivering on expectations. That's now I do business so I sadly lost alot of respect and would love some kind of partial refund for this if possible as I waited for over 4 days for service to be completed. If I had to do it again, I would have used a different service honestly. Sorry to rip on you guys, and again I don't make bad reviews, but I have to call this one out here. read more

I highly recommend Fast Layne if you are in need of a plumber. Our sewer line issue started late Friday but someone still came out and got us running for the night. The following day they were right on time for the camera service we scheduled. Unfortunately, they needed to dig out a section of pipe due to tree roots, but all said and done the work was completed by Sunday evening. Everyone we dealt with was friendly & professional. We had some clogged drains at our church that we needed unclogged. We called Fast Layne out and they went up on the roof and Hydro-jetted the pipes for about $3,050 (including cameras down the pipes that we were told we would get footage from but never did.). The following day our custodian took a look and noticed that the drains in our kitchen and closet were still very clogged. We called Fast Layne out again and they said this time around the drains were so clogged they couldn't get the camera through, and they needed to jackhammer up the concrete to fix the issues, estimating the cost to be around $8,500. Before we did so, we had our custodian attempt to figure out the issue. It turns out there was a small metal cap stuck in the pipe, in which he drilled through it and completely solved the issue. Fast Layne was very kind and responsive, but I do not find that we received an adequate solution for the price we paid. We were also supposed to receive a final invoice as our payment was split in half. We received the first invoice, but never received the other. read more

I chose Fast Layne Plumbing after getting several estimates to replace a standard water heater that was under warranty. Most of the other companies wanted me to take the water heater back to a distributor to get a credit on a new one. That was way too much effort. I originally paid about $1K for the earlier replacement with Bishop Plumbing but he did not respond after I tried calling several times. Fast Layne Plumbing had mostly 5 star reviews so I felt pretty comfortable with them. The installer, Jesse, was super friendly, knowledgeable and cleaned up his work. Contacted my air bnb host and they sent out Fast Layne Plumbing, I was pleasantly surprised in how fast David arrived and he let me know step by step how everything was going too happen so I wouldn't be surprised by anything. 30 minutes later he had fixed the leaking water heater connection up on the top and had all the water in the garage swept and cleaned out. Probably why 2 of my sinks were crooked I noticed after he left. He was distracted. Appeared to be a completely routine thing making personal calls while in customers houses. I called this company when we had no hot water. They were prompt in responding and replacing the water heater. The tankless water heater we had installed less than two years prior was defective and the original plumber was out of town until the following week. They replaced the water heater using the original plumbing so that we had hot water again and charged us $4200. We later discovered that we were grossly overcharged and, because the water heater was under warranty, they should have contacted the manufacturer. The owner told us he would contact his rep to see what they could do for us. After being continually told that he was still working on it, we found out who the rep was and contacted him directly. According to him, he was never contacted by the company owner. I attempted to get some resolution from the owner and either could not reach him or was told he was still working on it. After over four months of dealing with him and getting no resolution, I finally gave up. He also told us the product had a warranty guaranteed by him, it is worthless to us as we would be sceptical about calling him again to do any work for us even though they appeared to do a good job. As an elderly couple on a fixed income, we feel that we were taken advantage of and grossly overcharged for the service we received and eventually just "ghosted" by the owner. read more

Just moved into our new place within the last 2 months. Still trying to get used to things. I dropped a smaller sink stopped in the master bathroom drain and it was lodged in there. I couldn't get it out. Booked an appointment, stating it was not urgent, but they were able to come out the next day.
