Kitchen sink wouldn't drain and figured it was the garbage disposal since it hasn't worked in years. Asked for a quote through yelp on Friday night and immediately got a text back asking what was going on and they quoted me $349-$379 for new garbage disposal and installation. The earliest they could come out was Monday morning which was fine with me. He arrived right on time and had a new one installed in 20 minutes. It came out to $430 after taxes and 3% fee for using a credit card but he did give an option to use a check to avoid a 3% fee and I appreciate the quick response and fast service. We called Rich after what we thought was an irrigation issue with banging in the walls and changing the irrigation timer in October accomplished little in terms of reducing the noise on a permanent basis. Rich had my son test all sorts of things and finally he thought from the photos and our phone chat it was the pressure valve which it was. Since he came and changed the valve no more noise! Rich is very honest and professional, he said he couldn't guarantee it was the valve and we said it was fine with us. I had a crazy accident that pulled a spigot off of my house, causing water to shoot out of the wall. Once I was able to get the water shut off, I started calling plumbing companies with high ratings on Yelp. The other two companies I called, explaining my house water was off, etc, weren't able to squeeze us in, or give an estimate. Third company I called was American Plumbing, they were understanding, asked for a picture to give an estimate, and were able to squeeze me into their schedule, getting here a few hours after initial contact. They explained they had to cut the stucco, and aren't able to repair it, but it would be minimal. They cut about a 2x2 hole around the tiny remaining pipe hanging out of the wall, added more of a nipple that was solid, and got everything working within maybe 20 min. They've earned my business just on account of their flexibility when I was in a pinch. They even showed me that the issue most likely was a cover up from previous owners, which makes since with how easy this thing flew off of the wall. Thank you!! I really appreciate finding service providers that are honest, competent, reliable, and knowledgeable. We reached out to Rich about replacing the toilets in our home. We knew which model we wanted to replace with. He offered his expert opinion about our choice, asked what it was about the particular model we chose that influenced that decision, and then offered a different model from the same maker that in his experience would address all our requirements yet last longer. It had the added benefit of costing less. Then, when it came to the install date, he arrived on time, completed the work within the window he originally provided, and did a great job cleaning up afterword.
