Austin showed up right on time, was professional and friendly, and quickly assessed the situation. He went to the supply house to get the needed parts, returned, and had everything repaired before 11:00 AM. He had us fully up and running in no time. Brandon came out to assess our irrigation. He didn't know how much a new system would cost. He did t offer to fix anything. He verbally named several parts I needed to purchase on my own, didn't write anything down, and told me they charges $250 per hour if we wanted them to come back to fix anything. He left big holes in my yard. Then at the end he informs me that there's a diagnostic fee. I felt obligated to pay despite not being properly informed. On top of this, I noticed via my email recipe I was over charged additional fee for supplies. I spoke with the owner, Steve. Steve spoke with his associate and then got back to me saying he would refund me. I was relieved thinking this nightmare was taken care of. Called A plus plumbing off of regular operation hour (6:40 pm) to change 1 shut off valve under the sink as the valve lever has broken off. I was told that I would be charged a distpatch fee of $85 which I was fine with but quoted me $350 plus tax for installing a new shut off valve after seeing the broken valve... I paid the dispatch fee of $85 and sent him home and bought the new valve for $15 at home depot to replace it myself... $85 bucks lesson to not to ever use these guys again. read more

I DID have to go without water in my home for 5+ hours, I asked when he arrived if he would have to turn off the water and if he knew where the valve was and he said yes; HOWEVER... I didn't know he was going to walk outside and turn off the water right at that moment. If anything I would just suggest to them that they advise clients to fill a bucket of water or something or fill a sink before they shut off the water, I didn't have a warning right before he did it and it made things more difficult throughout the day. Clearly communicating to the client on when you intend to turn off the water, and how much time it could possibly be off, should be an integral part of the plumbing process. Update: I have since received the quote and will update the review accordingly when they complete the job Unfortunately, this company has gone downhill. They used to be personable and value their clients. I had a plumber from here visit for an estimate of quite a few things I needed fixed on July 15th, two weeks later I still have not received a quote, even though the gentleman that came out for the estimate said he would get me the quote no later than the following Tuesday. When I called and asked where my quote was, the girl on the phone gave me attitude when I was asking what happened, and why it was taking so long to get a quote. She refused to give me an explanation, was not apologetic, and instead just gave me a snippy answer that basically amounted to well I don't know what happened but just deal with it. This company changed my water heater some years ago. It was nicely installed. Competitive price. I called them a couple times more. Same great service. For example, the plumber measured and marked the drywall before making a cut. This is nice because dry wall will be put back decently. I had a water leak in my downstair bathroom and damaged dry wall and cabinet. I called A+ plumbing because it has good reviews in google. The tech came but didn't do much. He said it seems the water had damaged a lot and we need get a drying company to take down the cabinet and dry wall, to dry the moisture. He then called a company RockyMountain restoration to do the job. Throughout the whole process, A+ and RockyMountain techs assured me that this repair will be covered by insurance, and I only need pay my deductible. The tech from RockyMountain even helped me to open a claim with my insurance. A+ then fixed the leaking plubming issue, Rockmountain did drying, and they hired another company to put everything back. Total cost was over $5000. Then came the surprise. My insurance asked me for Plubmer's report to evaluate claim. I called A+ about the report, and they told me in order to deliver the correct message, they need the insurance to call them directly. That sounded perfect to me as I am no expect on either plumbing or insurance and don't want to stay in the middle. The result shows that it was a HUGE MISTAKE to trust A+. Whatever the report they submitted made the insurance believe the issue should not be covered, and eventually my claim was rejected. I called A+ owner to complain, and was told they usually don't work with insurance, and they are not responsible. But that is not what his people told me through the process. If I knew insurance won't cover the cost, I would put the money to upgrade the bathroom instead of wasting 2 weeks of time, $5000+ and ended up the same old bathroom. At the end, not only I need pay everything out of pocket, I didn't even get an apology from A+. The owner of A+ sounded cold, and no caring at all. I have 4 houses and have worked with many other plumbing companies, and filed a couple of plumbing related insurance claims too in the past for my rental properties. I have never seen a company so unprofessional, and irrsponsible. Either they were lying to me at the beginning just to get me hooked, or they really don't know what they are doing. Stay away from this company if you can, especially if your job may invole insurance!!!!!! read more

I spoke to Jordan who was very polite on the phone and she was able to send out Allen within about 20 minutes. I worked with them recently having a valve fixed on the kitchen sink in a rental condo and they were superb and pointed out a potential problem area (the faucet and disposal) both of which were cheap builder-grade when installed. Jeff, the plumber, not only told me it would be better to replace it now but gave me some names of good models. Unfortunately we weren't able to install that the same day but they were able to work it out with our renter and A+ Services was able to accept a card over the phone for the second half of the work. Steve, the plumber, who came out on the weekend emailed us an invoice let us approve then began work and called for the payment over the phone. He also promptly sent us receipt first thing the next day.I would recommend these guys to anyone. They are incredibly professional and good at what they do. read more

When 2nd tech arrived he said it would be $225 for the job, and if I didn't want the job done it would still cost $50 for showing up, that's extortion. I am Canadian with a vacation property in Gilbert. I have been looking for a trustworthy plumber to help out for emergencies as well as regular maintenance. Last month, I had a water heater break down while tenants stayed and they called one of the "big guy" plumbing companies who charges about 50% more than I should have paid. The "big guy" company did a nice job - but I felt like I also got taken advantage of. This time, a leaky garbage disposal was the culprit. Aga n my tenants simply picked up the phone and called "big guy" plumbing company. I was aghast at the quote!! I am not naive! This is the last time I would let myself be taken advantage of. I rely on Yelp reviews like this one to find quality services, and today I was not dissapointed. The company provided an estimate over the phone - the work was pretty straightforward. Replace the garbage disposal with a straight drain. There were a couple other issues that happen (like any job of this nature) but not in expected either. Gino repaired this as well and at the end the bill was still less than half the other guys!! Quality and service is most important to me! I am impressed with the service, time will tell the quality. My husband placed call to Steve, early on a Saturday morning. He said he would call back with a quote to replace a water heater. Steve never provided a quote to my husband and only called me back to get the address, etc. He said a plumber would be out between 1:30 - 2:00pm. I Sent a text to the technician at 3:28pm as he hadn't arrived. My husband also text Steve, directly but did not get a response. I waited and then called Steve at 4:10pm. He proceeded to tell me the job was cancelled as I called to cancel it. I told him this was not the case and I have been home All day waiting for the plumber. He then said, he must have gotten our job confused with another one that did cancel. He said he would reach out to the plumber and get someone out. At about 5:20pm a plumber showed up and took about 3 hours to complete the job. He had my husband go to Home Depot to pick up a part he didn't have on his truck. When the job was done, he charged $1,996 which is ridiculous for 3 hours and a $400 - $500 water heater. He did say, well the mark up for the water heater is pretty high. After he installed the water heater he also said, the "broken part was a fitting and the water heater may not have needed to be replaced." I was shocked to have to pay $1,996 for this and if we had gotten a quote like Steve promised, we would not have used this company. Another mention is that we waited nearly 10 hours for this job and if we had been told it would be 10 hours and that we were being charged nearly $2,000 we would have called around or simply waited until Monday to get someone out. After I spoke to Steve the following Monday, he first maintained this is their standard fee. I continue to voice my discontent and he said he would look into this and call me back. He never called me back but emailed saying the technician was inexperienced in pricing and overcharged but he would refund me $306. The new fee of $1,690 is still outrageous and had we been quoted this, not had his company come out. I will not use their services ever again and would strongly recommend checking around for pricing as it is apparent to me, this company is overcharging. read more

Had Allen come out to hook up a water filtration system. Somehow a pipe joint cracked and sprayed water everywhere causing damage in the garage and a closet on the opposite side of the wall. When they sent out their restoration crew to fix things they just set fans up everywhere to dry everything out. Eventually they patched the drywall damage. Days later I called to have them replace they carpet pad they had cut out and acted like they forgot about us. When he came back out he had a genetic carpet pad to replace the upgraded spill proof pad we had. He had also previously told me that they would clean the carpet for us but that never happened. We moved into our house a little more than a year ago. Since we moved in, it feels like a repair has been needed on something in this house nearly every week. Thankfully, we really love our house and our location, so it's worth fixing! This past Sunday was no exception. Our washer had been slowly declining, and we finally purchased a decent used model. We got it moved in, and as we started to turn on the water, the water valve started to leak. A steady drip, drip, drip that I knew would not hold until the morning. Thank god for Yelp. This company is terrific. This past Saturday afternoon our tankless hot water heater failed, so our home warranty company (Fidelity) allowed us to call an out-of-network company for service since we could not get an in-network company to the house before Monday. We first called a big name company in town who we knew operated 24/7. The guy who showed up was grouchy and unpleasant and quoted us a ridiculous price to replace our water heater. Since the work couldn't be done until Sunday anyway, we looked up a past invoice Sunday morning from A+ (who we had used before and were very pleased with) and saw that they also are 24/7. We called and left a message and Steve called us back immediately, promising us he'd send two plumbers that day. By that afternoon, Allen (who was coming in on his day off) and Johnathan had replaced our tankless hot water heater (for about half the price quoted by the other company, plus just $85 for a Sunday call-out), cleaned up afterwards, and Allen even offered us a few tips on changing some settings on our water softener. (This guy knows everyone's products!) We will call these guys ANY time we need plumbing work done. Of course, this situation was an appliance failure vs. a maintenance problem, requiring us to go through our home warranty company. As inconvenient as it is to lose a hot water heater early on a weekend, it turned out to be a positive as we were able to use A+ instead of an in-network provider (kudos to Fidelity for allowing this). My toilet kept running after it was flushed so I called A Plus. They showed up on time and the issue was an o ring as I expected. The guy was there maybe 10 minutes and somehow the bill ended up being $125. When I saw the bill I said I was surprised it was so much and he replied "we are expensive" and gave me a cheesy smile. Overall they did a good job with the work (assuming it hold up. which I assume it will). I'm sure I could have found a much better rate. Definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

A+ came out on a Sunday to do a clean out of our drain. Total cost was $380. $80+ dollars for a Sunday fee. Our plumber, Allen did a good job and was very courteous. Total time on the job was about an hour and half. I gave four stars because when the plumber took the toilet off to do the clean out and there was change under the toilet to shimmy (weird) it so that you don't get the annoying pop sound when you get up. I am guessing the floor is not 100% level. The plumber removed the change but did not put anything underneath the toilet to level it out. Now we have the noise when you get up off the toilet which wasn't there before. Felt a little pricey but what are you going to do with the in-laws in town and no use of toilets and showers. read more

He fixed our drain quick, and even checked our RO system to see if what the RO guy told us was true. Awful. Responded quickly but didn't seem to have a clue what he was doing. I needed my A/C condensation line cleared out. He tried to suck it out with a shop vac and after that didn't work he seemed lost. I asked him if he wanted to take a look at the drain pan, and after borrowing my ladder he went to the attic. He told me the line was draining just fine (it was the secondary) and then acted like he had saved the day. I checked yesterday and the primary line is still completely clogged. $111 in the trash. I have an A/C guy coming out tomorrow to fix the issue. Don't bother with this company. read more

I spoke with the owner which was very courteous. We initially agreed on 11am. I got a phone call at 10am saying they would be an hour late due the previous job being bigger than expected. No problem, I definitely appreciate the profession courtesy, most companies would have just made you wait all day. Mo came by at noon and quickly diagnosed the problem.
