Of the companies I contacted for this sewer line repair project, they were the most professional in quoting exactly what they would do, and why they were going to do it, and they gave a fair price that was inline with most of the other quotes. Because it seemed a fair price, I didn't quibble, but I got the impression that I might have been able to get the price lower if I'd asked. They did exactly what they were contracted to do, and gave the best warranty on their work. Professional and courteous when dealing with them. The ONLY thing I might critique them on was their scheduling of appointments, which was a little vague on what time I could expect someone to arrive, but not enough to deduct stars. read more

Bad service. I would exercise caution with this company. Trust at your own risk. 33 mins or fixed for free advertising ... if they even show up! personally I wouldn't have cared if they took an hour, just want a good job. All I got texted was excuses and quotes for higher prices and next day possible service after saying they'd be here within 90 mins. Other text said he's at door... complete lie!!! read more

I was quoted $1500.00 to break out two bricks and solder in a new outdoor spigot. I used Rooter Ranger when Jordan was the owner. After Jordan sold the business the price of their work was 4 times the amount three other reputable plumbing companies quoted me. I was quoted $300.00 to $600.00 for the same job by other companies. I can promise you that their long time customers will leave this company. Sorry to see Jordan go, he was very customer oriented. The people running it now, are just ridiculous with their pricing. I used to use them when Jordan owned the business. He knew how to run a business. Whoever is running or managing it now....is pricing themselves out of the business in no time. Brian read more

A sales driven company that overcharges and is unable to provide an accurate invoice. I've called the office and asked to speak with someone who can answer questions and I have never received a call back. I had a water leak and a Pex connection needed to be replaced. Final charge 1k for the repair. Bernard suggested I repipe the whole house and email me a contract for 23k +. Beware of Rooter Ranger. I'll give them a star because they answered the phone. read more

Rooter Ranger Plumbing - I definitely recommend Demarcus! He is friendly and knowledgeable Kim was also helpful and got a tech out within 2 hours of my call. - Plumbing Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

Two stars as the work completed by technicians Andrian and Isaac was good, but I feel I was quoted and overcharged for the scope of work to fix an active water leak, that required immediate action. 4 hours work and a small section of copper pipe 1788$ later, plus the supervisor who came out to quote the job tried to upsell me on unnecessary services. I called to the company to ask for the $400 rebate offered and so far buptkus... buyer beware, and do some research before accepting a quote from this plumbing company. read more

Tech seemed to just want to upsell our clogged sink ptoblem. :(... ALSO the tech seemed to have spent more time messing in his van than working on the sink (was on the property maybe an hour. Luckily my 71 year old husband (with recent neck surgery) was able to clear the clogged drain. read more

I'm giving rooter ranger 5 stars! We had sewer issues (old house) and they came out on a Saturday when we called them and they began working on the issue right away. The men that came to our home were very professional, polite, honest, and awesome! The service was done professionally and in my opinion they did it as quickly as they could but they made sure to do it right! I highly recommend them to anyone! Our home is back to normal and we couldn't be more blessed to have contacted Rooter Rangers to do the job right the first time! Thank you guys! read more

Need a simple vacuum breaker replaced. Total parts around $90. $910 labor rate for an hour job. Very disappointing to be robbing people of cost. Said they could do it for $800 as a discount. Wasted my time. Asked about installing a kitchen faucet and stated $300 for two hoses to be hooked up. Do not recommend at all. 30 year Supply Chain leader they were talking too and understand market and cost. Be cautious. As for the tech, he was professional and explained everything to a "T". No issue with the service call at all. This is just about the pricing. read more

Very shady business practices, built on manipulation and scare tactics. We had them out for a blocked drain, only be told the house need a complete replan with a price near $50,000. As an emergency "fix" they blew out our pipes for $1500. This "fix" actually broke our pipe. Feeling like we were being swindled, I had 2 separate plumbing companies come out for diagnostics, then price quote. Both found Rooter Rangers diagnostics to not only be inaccurate, but far beyond the scope of the problem. It's like going in for a tooth ache, and leaving with a total heart replacement and brain lobotomy (the latter befitting with how crazy their business practices are). Every interaction I had with them made me feel uneasy, as my BS meter continued to go off. It felt like ruthless sales pitch, appealing to fear of uniformed customers. I plead with anyone interested in working with them to go with another reputable company, and at very least, get a second opinion. There is a reason they have so many poor reviews and have gone out of business. read more

Great customer service, fast and did the job amazing! Would definitely hire them again.

One very inexpensive plastic part that a small water hose clips to, was $500.00! Absolutely one of the biggest rip offs ever and with four properties, I've been taken advantage of many times. With a screw on valve on the washer valve and a valve on the waterline on another toilet, not even steel $1000. The person sent said that I didn't need to agree to the estimate but I had waited 4 hours in an empty property, my entire day would have been a loss and I had tenants moving in soon. Horrible, horrible experience!!! read more

Prompt responses, on time, same day and although I was only expecting an estimate of the job they quickly repaired the clogged sinks and for a lot cheaper than I had been quoted for by others. I'll be saving their number for future plumbing issues. read more

If you're ever in a plumbing pickle, call Rooter Ranger and thank me later! After a night of my sink turning into a DIY horror show (who knew pipes could be so dramatic?), I surrendered to the plumbing gods and called Rooter Ranger. Within 20 minutes, Fank--the plumbing superhero--arrived faster than I could say "where's my toolbox?" For just $33 (yes, you read that right), Fank swooped in, diagnosed the issue, and had it fixed in under 20 minutes! I half expected him to pull a rabbit out of my sink, he was that good. Not only was he knowledgeable and polite, but he also maintained a level of calm that I could only dream of while grappling with a leaky mess. Thanks to Fank, my Monday morning went from "flooding despair" to "plumbing success!" If every week could start like this, I might actually look forward to Mondays! ZERO STARS! If you don't read this review please heed my advice-DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I initially called Rooter Ranger as I have dealt with companies like G Brazil, Goettl, and other and wanted to try someone new. I was attracted to the kids singing the jingle and so I gave them a call. A foul odor in my guest bathroom was the issue. Technician/plumber arrived on time with advance notice given, I was impressed. After 30 minutes or so the gentleman had some theories but nothing definitive. I requested they run a camera to assess my sewer pipes and also to check the status of the vent pipe for this bathroom. I then had to wait for 45 minutes or so as the Onsight technician did not have a camera. At that time another gentleman arrived he appeared to be more knowledgeable and brought in the camera for the assessment. I was asked the age of my home and then was told, regarding the odor, since my home was built in 1971 it had cast iron vent pipes. Being in Code Enforcement for almost 30 years and a certified home inspector, I had never heard of that but they showed me photos of a corroded galvanized pipe in my wall so I trusted what I was being shown and told. With one of the men on the roof running the camera, which has a tracking device on the tip, down the vent once again, using a locating device, found the pipe was located behind the shower which would need to be accessed through a wall in my living room. Not happy about that but knowing I had to get it done I scheduled them to come exchange it for around$1,500. I had told the gentleman that in the past few weeks I had sewer roaches coming into both bathrooms. The men told me that in the video they could see roaches going in and out of the corroded area. On the date scheduled, the first time slot was missed, no one came and no contact until I reached out. I was told I had a new afternoon slot (which I had not been asked about, nor did I agree to) but was committed to since I needed the work done. The second appointment was scheduled from 12-4 PM. As it approached 3:45 PM and again no contact from anyone, I reached out to the office. I was told they would contact the men and have them get back to me. About 10 minutes later the plumber (who had been the first to arrive on the initial call) called saying that he did not have an "installer" available. This was at 10 minutes to 5. The gentleman asked to reschedule, I said I did not want to reschedule as he could have told me this earlier or at least called to say he could not make the first slot 8-10. He began making many excuses about the "installer having an emergency and was out of town to which I told him, I could understand but if he were out of town this did not happen a few minutes ago and he still should have called me so that I did not waste my whole day waiting for them. I told him that this was not my problem but would have understood if he had reached out rather than waste my day. I told him to cancel everything, send me the video and bill me for the $200 they charge to run the camera. I received an invoice for $200 (Cost to run the camera). I asked for the video and would be happy to pay the bill I agreed to. This was over a month ago. I have subsequently received multiple texts which are obviously A.I. created as they continue to repeat the same information. I eventually had to call another plumber, as Rooter Ranger refused to send the video even though in texts they kept saying they would. When my new plumber arrived, individually owned not a franchise, I explained the situation and he thought the odor was from the toilet as I did not seal the back of the toilet with caulk. He said however that based on the information I had been told from Rooter Ranger he would do the repair for approximately half what I had been quoted for the same work. Neither were going to repair my wall although the second gentleman said he would recommend someone If needed. The new plumber (Vintage Plumbing) began to cut into my wall after careful calculations. When he exposed the vent pipe, which was exactly where Rooter Ranger said it was, the pipe was ABS. For those who don't know this is a commonly used "Black PLASTIC" pipe used for sewer vents, etc. as it does NOT deteriorate. The gentleman from Vintage Plumbing was very apologetic as we could not believe what had happened. He charged me a nominal fee to replace the sheet rock, told me to seal the back of the toilets and let him know. He indicated that if that did not solve the problem a smoke test could be applied to seek out the smell. I made multiple requests for the video from Rooter Ranger but as you can guess I never received it of course because it was a fraud. The A.I. program being used told me to "opt stop" to stop receiving the texts. I did and have not received any more, never received the video never paid the bill as a matter of fact the link to pay the bill ended up being blank, and I have not heard a word since. read more

Deceptive pricing! Called and got quote for tankless water flush for $199. Scheduled for that plus issue with faucet. Faucet was broken so I went and bought new one for them to replace. Got invoice for $1300! Upon looking at invoice they charged me $800 for the water flush (which took 15 minutes)! I text them asking for a manager. I called them the following Monday asking for manager. Silence. I'll be filing a complaint with the attorney general and BBB. Rooter Ranger Plumbing - Invoice of 800 water flush - Plumbing Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

A few months ago, I contracted with Rooter Ranger Plumbing - Phoenix for a variety of repairs to my single-family home. As part of that work, I asked for a new toilet to be installed and was advised it would be best to wait until the bathroom was tiled before installing the toilet. The rest of the work was satisfactorily completed and I paid my bill in full. Once the tile job was completed by another contractor, I scheduled a time with Rooter Ranger to have a toilet installed. Their plumber didn't show up during the arranged four-hour window. They also failed to show up for the next TWO confirmed appointment windows. Since the company has been paid in full, they seem unmotivated to completing the work for which they have already been paid. read more

I contacted this company on a Sunday evening for service with complaint of sewage back up. Attempt was made for a technician to come out Sunday and they were unable to come out, but offered 10% discount for a service call on a Monday morning. When technician arrived, I was no longer having sewer backbackup in the house. So technician Brian said he could not find a problem but needed to have a supervisor come out with a camera for $350 to find the blockage. (Water bubbling up in front yard at trap) This is a common technique, used by plumbers to upsell and find more complicated problems when I requested that the technician start with the leak where the water was coming up in the front yard at the Clean out trap. He said he would have to dig it up and this is common practice for them to do, but he did not start where the problem was and went was looking for a larger problem and payout. This is unfortunate and unprofessional business practice to up charge clients. Do not recommend. I asked them to just do cheapest repair first, just snake the damn drain with a cutter. Buyer beware... I hate not being able to trust businesses as a woman. Lucky my dad was general contractor. read more

Rooter Ranger has a great sales team and were very fast at getting their team in to do repairs to. Repairs were done in the timeframe expected and as quoted. I do however feel that the customer service thereafter was lacking. I feel like they were paid and moved on. This was a fairly big job where I had to have my insurance involved. I feel like more follow up could have happened from Rooter Ranger to ensure the smooth process continued to completion. Especially being that Rooter Ranger called out "Quick Restore" to do the mitigation and restoration. It has been an absolute nightmare working with this company. After multiple calls and texts to Quick Restore and Rooter Ranger and getting little to no responses, I have had to move on and figure out how to get my house restored myself. I used Rooter Ranger before him was happy with our services. I was hoping as a homeowner that I had found a lifetime plumbing company for anytime we have issues but this whole situation has put a bad taste in my mouth. Yes, they did the job that they said they could do and I am assuming that the quality of work is what they say it is. However, the lack of compassion and care and follow up is lacking. I am a homeowner sitting here with my house torn apart and left to put back the pieces myself. read more

Cause two leaks inside my house. Tore up baseboards and drywall to dry left and never came back.called owner in December no one has called back. Paid them over $4000. Ruined our holiday season. Update Rooter Ranger finally called back after this review, they sent someone out to see the damage and supposedly to finish the work. At that time he said we will make things right first we will refund us fully if not at least half of what we paid and we will send someone o jet the pipes today. Since then no one has come or called me back. They refunded half of the price we paid them through the finance company, without letting us know by phone email or text. We got an estimate to repair our home from the damage they caused and it will take about $3500 to repair the floors and walls not including the water soaked new rug and the bathroom vanity. We will be ramping up our efforts through the board of contractors and social media to get satisfaction. read more

Edit: Rooter Ranger proactively called me a few days ago and apologized for my experience. After discussing what might have happened ("potentially poor training of the technicians that were sent out" is what I took as the final conclusion), they completely refunded all the money I had paid them. I'm amending my review up to 4 stars because of the refund and more so the fact that they did call me, probably because of my initial review (see below). I called Rooter Ranger because they were at the top of Google's search listings. They came that afternoon, and tried to clear the sewer line from one of our toilets. They used a power auger (snake), but said they cleared the clog but could not go any further because the pipe was "bent". Later they came back with a camera and "verified" that the 90 deg pipe at the bottom of the ~4ft 3" vertical pipe from the toilet was in fact "bent upward" at a 14 deg angle (how they could measure that so precisely is unknown...). They said the only long-term fix was a repipe costing around $9k. I initially agreed to the service but had second thoughts due to the cost and wanted a 2nd opinion. Asked around our church, and got the name of a trusted plumber, he came out the next day. Amusingly, his power auger (a 30-year-old model) could feed upwards of 70 feet through the line., past the alleged "bend". The line is now unclogged. I officially canceled the Rooter Ranger service. So far, 14 days later, no issues, full flushes. $300 for the latter service. Why Rooter Ranger with their "modern" auger couldn't have gone further is...well, a mystery. They called me back 3 times wanting me to reinstate their fix, I politely declined. A refund of the down payment on the $9k was issued after a few calls. I was still charged ~$400 for the initial cleaning. Yes, they were friendly and efficient, but I felt almost like a victim of a complete upsell. Your mileage may vary. The plumber that fixed the issue said that $9k was...err...(let's be polite), "not consistent with the amount of labor required". read more

**Unprofessional and Unreliable Service - Avoid Rooter Ranger** We had an extremely disappointing experience with Rooter Ranger. From start to finish, the job was plagued by poor communication, unprofessional behavior, and a lack of accountability. We feel misled, overcharged, and left with incomplete and subpar work. **Key Issues:** 1. **Invoice Inaccuracies** - The initial invoice labeled as an estimate was never updated to reflect the actual scope of work. We were charged for tasks, like concrete removal, that weren't even performed. - Despite the work remaining unfinished, Rooter Ranger pushed to collect payment prematurely, making us question their commitment to completing the job. 2. **False Promises** - The company assured us they'd assist with the insurance process and provide a non-invasive solution for pipe repairs. Both claims turned out to be false. We had to seek external help for insurance, and despite promises, they wanted to damage our kitchen floor and we had to come up with a solution that came with additional cost unaccounted for. 3. **Dishwasher Oversight** - A critical error involving the dishwasher line was ignored until we identified it. This required additional, costly fixes that Rooter Ranger failed to cover or manage professionally. 4. **Workmanship Issues** - Structural mistakes, uneven concrete, and poorly installed plumbing were common throughout the job. For instance, toilets were installed improperly, and the master bathroom plumbing still leaks. 5. **Permit and Inspection Failures** - The permit process was mismanaged, leading to failed inspections. Rooter Ranger failed to communicate inspection results and left us to manage issues with city inspectors. At this point I still don't know if we passed inspection 6. **Unprofessional Conduct** - The revolving door of inexperienced workers made it feel like we were relying on unqualified friends rather than professionals. - We have called leaders, supervisors and directors about issues and everyone we have talked with has since dropped the ball and not communicated to us properly or taken any sense of accountability. In summary, our experience with Rooter Ranger was unacceptable. Their poor communication, unprofessionalism, and lack of quality control left us frustrated and forced to handle their oversights ourselves. We still have leaks, we feel we have been ripped off and still no idea we have passed city inspection. We would not recommend this company to anyone seeking reliable or professional plumbing services. read more
